what about if its a baby yellow belly turtle, i just got mine and then when i tryed feeding it the food just stayed in the tank all night, i tryed feeding it lettuce, the turtle pellets, and even fish food...(my other turtle ate fish food) (:

Hi my 7 month old horsefield just wont eat and ive noteaced that all he does is sleep for the mojority of the day some times i have to wake him up and when he finally wake's all he does is burrow and then sleeps agen he even trys to burrow in his food pls help

@123Goodietwoshoes I'd have him looked at by a vet. He could have intestinal worms. A quick dose with a wormer cures a suprising amount of strange symptoms.

If it is a hatching turtle, it might not be eating because he is still eating the yolk from the egg it hatched from, if you turn the turtle upside down u will see that it looks like a smudged color around where the parts of the bottom shell meets, hope i helped !

i have a red eared slider, female, and she wont eat and since she's an aqautic turtle, sometimes she wont "bask" which means come onto land to get body heat, and sometimes she wont go in water. she's not eating either!

Mine did that too the i put her out on land while i was cleaning the tank. Then when i came to get her she had a hole next to a plant and was laying egg. Bet a cat ate the eggs while they were incubating. :(

i've got a yellow bellied slider. it doesn't eat. it's very small- ssamller thatn my palm. i gave it shrimps- once it ate that, then lettuece, tomato and all sorts of food. it's very dull whne someone is around but when lights are switched off we can hear sounds prob ably it swimming and hitting the walls of the thing its kept in. what to do? plz. help
