I have one and it's 300 shot, and lack's the compass, and has a plastic lever, but does have the logo milled or is it burned? into the stock. I can hit targets from across my back yard, roughly 40yards with no issues.

My parents did the same thing! all i wanted for my 8th Christmas was a Red Ryder BB gun. the BB gun i had before must have been 15 years old. I opened my last present and it was just BBs. It felt like a bowling ball dropped in my stomach...i didnt get the only present i wanted. Then my father told me "wait what is that under the table?!" and there it was my Red Ryder. @Cheat2Win6 There is no recoil in a BB Gun. The Red Ryder uses a .177 caliber copper coated round. It bounced off the hard surface behind the target and hit him in the eye.
