Here is the problem with both sides of this. One push it now even though the way it works is not up to par. IE: if I need a 100,000 dollar procedure than lets do the math I am 37 life expectancy is 65 65-37=28. 100,000/28=3,571 a year so I am covered but if you are 62 it will cost them 33,333 so they are not covered under this universal health care you want right now. And for the other side to say what we have is working well do I really need to explain that one?

I did not ever have to visit or consult with my doctor, I did not know who my Primary care Doctor was until I got sick and called my Health Insurance Provider. I had X-rays done on my knee, after that I had about two months worth of knee therapy. I admit I am nervous. I do not know what to expect from my Insurance. I had free Health care in the Air Force now I miss it.

My guess is that you are young and healthy. (Additionally, your employer may well contribute above and beyond what you pay.) Insurance companies will charge less for those who are low-risk patients. Medicare patients are a high-risk group who could never get comprehensive coverage for just $225/month.
