That's an opel insignia. Opels are called Vauxhall in the uk. And since Buick has to sell something decent in the US they though: oh hey, let's take the insignia (Opel is a member of the GM group after all), call it the regal and sell it. And that's what you see here. It's a shame all great US manufacturers have ended up like that. Where are the 60's and the 70's...

@connor666ilett You do know that Opel & Vauxhall are owned by GM right? You can't "steal" something from yourself. All they are doing is bringing the Insignia to the US under the name Buick since Opel & Vauxhall brands are not sold in the US. There is a manual available for this car also.

@thehulk3010 I think toyota and ford are the best car makers now. You cant bash ford... They have the best line of trucks out right now and the new 5.0 mustang. (0-60 in 4.4 seconds starting at under $30k) PLUS they didn't take government money. I believe Ford is the only great American car maker.

@thehulk3010 Haha. Yeah I know a buick is a GM. Ford is just making such good vehicles now that GM cant AFFORD to keep up. The Camaro vs. the Mustang there is basically no comparison. The stang is so much better in every way. That big 6.2 doesn't push enough power to that heavy car. Ford is beating it 1.2 liters down. As far as trucks, the new eco-boost get V6 fuel economy with more power than the chevy V-8s. Ford is making up for all their pitfalls back in the 90s through about 2004.

@thehulk3010 Yeah I've got a 99 4runner. 170k miles and running strong. Toyota has reliability like no other (excluding the chassis rusting problems in the early 2000 trucks.) I just don't like chevy or dodge either. Mainly I'm into muscle cars... but like I said before the camaro (which you can't see out of) and the challenger (slow and not very nimble) just dont compare to ford's mustang. I'm 16 by the way... and all I do is cars. I've seen this buick and the turbo is quite nice.
@ktmlover90 every challenge anyone has done based on speed and power has proven the camaro is more powerful and faster than the mustang. i've sat in the camaro before and the windows can be annoying to look out of i'll give you that but when you get used to it it feels so much better than a plastic mustang. the mustang is lighter and more nimble but that's about all it has on the camaro. aside from that i see so many mustangs every day, but when i see a camaro i cant help but smile
@realmenkickstuff I think you might be referring to the 2010 mustang, which is around 315 horsepower. If you are referring to the 2011 Mustang then you are very mistaken. The 2011 GT runs 0.1 - 0.2 seconds faster to 60mph which honestly isn't much. The mustang is faster to the 1/4 mile though by a good bit. It is also easier to handle (matches an M3 around a track.) I get to test drive a Camaro in the spring and will love every minute of it, but the Mustang is just better...it's proven.
Such a nice car my father just bought one and gave me his 2007 chevy silverado for my first car. I go to school before he goes to work so ill just drive the regal sometimes and he will find himself driving his old truck and ill find myself driving to school in a wonderful car. :)

all i gotta say is that the car looks cheesy. i dont know about cheap.... but it definately looks like any gmc truck or van you probably have driven. the cluster gauges are decent looking. the centre console is exactly the same as the gmc ones. and the car signal left/ right sounds so horrible "kik kik kik kik" sounds horrible if you ask me. what impresses me about this car is the steering wheel. its proper looking. not overcrowded. the car deck its an alright piece looking like the genesis. OK.

All this is is another piece of shit FWD american car. When are the car companies going to start to listen to the customers? We are tired of them making 90% FWD cars with lame styling. This is why Audi and BMW rule over american cars in every aspect. Then you have line workers that are either high or drunk skipping a part or two. There is NO fucking reason I should see a 2010 corvette broken down on the side of the highway, but I have seen several.
This car ranked LAST in the recent Car and Driver test behind the Acura TSX and VW CC 2.0T. The VW has less power yet is considerably faster from 0-60 and gets better MPG both city and highway.
PS : No offence but the way you are driving 90% of the cars in the market are ok.....Plus the reason it is so quiet is because its made by Opel and not Buik/GM...Although GM does own Opel.

As I can remember driver never mentioned Opel/Vauxhall Insignia.
Too bad for him, maybe he don't know that there is Insignia developed by Opel.
But as GM is owner of Opel, he took it for US market with different badge from the "familly".
Insignia get many many auto awards in Europe, like Car of the year, wheel of the year etc...
There is Insignia with manual transmision too.
And there is Insignia OPC (Opel Performance Center) with 2,8 V6 Turbo with 325HP and 435Nm of torq.

Such a nice car my father just bought one and gave me his 2007 chevy silverado for my first car. I go to school before he goes to work so ill just drive the regal sometimes and he will find himself driving his old truck and ill find myself driving to school in a wonderful car. :)

Why do you keep turning the radio up, down, up, down, up, down? Wouldn't it be nice if viewers are allowed to enjoy the sound of the engine for the whole ride rather than to have occasional blast of the radio then having you turn it down again and again? Or why don't you just leave it on at a moderate volume?

all i gotta say is that the car looks cheesy. i dont know about cheap.... but it definately looks like any gmc truck or van you probably have driven. the cluster gauges are decent looking. the centre console is exactly the same as the gmc ones. and the car signal left/ right sounds so horrible "kik kik kik kik" sounds horrible if you ask me. what impresses me about this car is the steering wheel. its proper looking. not overcrowded. the car deck its an alright piece looking like the genesis. OK.

THATS NO REGAL. hmmm thats a cobalt. fucking piece of shit 2.4 junk. last regal i remember was pure luxury smooth low end power 3800 v6. My wife owns a 2.4 car. motors run ok. just buzzy and very cheap feeling. not a regal. very depressed by buick to make this. im a buick lover. buick means quality not DOHC buzzzzzzzzz interior looks generic. as hell

This ain't a new car .. This is the Vauxhall Insigna ... I was browsing the website of buick and they are saying they have a new model coming in 2012 the Buick Regal GS ... It's just the 2010 Vauxhall Insigna VXR they replaced the grill and badge and that's it. @MrDeerecub1977 I don't think you understand. This car is not badged as an Insignia in North America because . . .Opel/Vauxhall is not sold in NA. Do you want GM to start up Opel in NA just to sell the Insignia? That would be madness. The bottom line is that this is a unique car for NA. Also, can you name one major car company (that has at least two major brands) that does not badge engineer in some form.?

What i hate is that americans are extremely naive and most of them fall for Buicks fake marketing thats tells them this is their own car. Which it isnt. This car has been sold in europe for 2 years before it was even introduced in America. And if you tell that to americans, they wont believe you. Thats what I hate. When people who developed and engineered the car (germans) dont get the praise.

@71CommodoreGSE I'm not saying it needs a V8, but they should offer a V6 option for those of us who would want it. I've owned 4 cylinders, I now drive a V8 and I would never go back. The sound alone is worth the price at the pumps.

All this is is another piece of shit FWD american car. When are the car companies going to start to listen to the customers? We are tired of them making 90% FWD cars with lame styling. This is why Audi and BMW rule over american cars in every aspect. Then you have line workers that are either high or drunk skipping a part or two. There is NO fucking reason I should see a 2010 corvette broken down on the side of the highway, but I have seen several.

This car ranked LAST in the recent Car and Driver test behind the Acura TSX and VW CC 2.0T. The VW has less power yet is considerably faster from 0-60 and gets better MPG both city and highway.
