And sooner or later, AMD is going to come out with a card that will beat the 295, and then nvidia will come out with a card that will beat that. Its the way things work. The 4870x2 is a poor card and in most benchmarks falls below my GTX280 in resolutions below 1920x1200. Fact. That card should be pulling its weight at lower resolutions not just higer. But it doesnt. Your obviously too young to remember the 9800 series from ATi otherwise you would know that at that time they rained supreme. Also the 1900 was a big card for them and fought well against the nvidia equivilant.

Vantage isn't as cpu-bound as 06 and thus it's better for testing the actual graphics card. I get about P14000 with my unclocked Sapphire Radeon HD4870X2 coupled with an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 at 3.5ghz which is what most people get with similar setups. In 06 I get about 20k.
