  • Yeah okay we're the real savages we get it-- this film is like beating a dead horse

  • Just to get it out there, the people getting killed and mutilated in the movie was not real, though when it came out the cops thought it was and arrested the director. However, the animals killed in the movie WERE really killed, which is the most messed up part of the movie.

  • This film.is pure shit....

  • "So to answer your questions, Zombie Boy, my favourite Movie of all Time is "Cannibal Holocaust"... because of all the Blood!"

    "Brains~!" [Sounds gross!]

"I know! I gave it two severed Thumbs Up!"

  • haha problem at the jungle no toilet so you can pee anywhere, best horror film Cannibal Holocaust.

  • gross..this film is so mean.

  • the theme music is very healing one of the finest film scores of it's time, most likely lifted off something else but thats another .....

  • this is not even horror and it's disgusting (exit's the page)

  • Yeah, cool story bro. There's a difference between writing a good story and aiming for shock value.

  • and this is horror (rofl) :D

  • I watched this with a friend of mine who's also a horror freak and nor me or she had ever seen it before

I bought it a while ago because i knew it is a classic, but after the muskrat and rape i asked her if she wanted to see another movie, but we decided to finish watching it anyway

This was just a little too much, even by my bloody taste; i felt uneasy afterwards, like after watching the fire distinguisher scene from Irreversible (those of you who saw that know what i'm talking about)

  • this shit is fucking crazy...

  • if someone comes up and asks you to do a documentary it will end like this

....or end in a porno movie either one

  • the snake at 1:46 wasnt a viper its a constrictor useless dead of a beautifull species.....

  • I disagree that this is the best horror film. It is certainly the most violent and despicable but it is not the best.

  • @LastTyrannicide He regrets shooting the animal killings. He doesn't regret making the movie that has gained him most of the money and fame he has now.

  • @OldBoy968 No, he definitely regrets all of it. Those closest to him abandoned him after its release.

  • muy buena

  • Get it past your little black box of reality. People slaughter animals everyday and most are quite tasty...from what i saw they ate them. The only gross thing I have sometimes found about the slaughter is the smell. Go take a survival course and get used to it.

  • this is a f*cking snuff movie where real animals were kills. i don't know what it is but it's of course not the best horror movie.

  • @nera771 1 little pig was killed. Stop. It's not a snuff movies you cunt.

  • @nera771 hey hey hey, nothing snuff here... in Apocalypse Now they cut a cow head off and it's considered an art masterpiece... the pig, the monkey, and the turtle was the dinner for the cast and crew.. they dont had a McDonalds in the middle of the fucking jungle

  • Most disturbing movie in history! Because of the animals that were killed. Second is A Serbian FIlm.

  • @hyperfilmz2 *italian movie.

  • @SeitxiS "A Serbian Film" is a fucked up movie about a retired porn star who is forced to fuck kids and dead people. Banned in many countries, but actually a very good movie.

  • @hyperfilmz2 can you tell me the name of the serbian movie ?

  • @ovidiu92 that is the name of the film, link: imdb.com/title/tt1273235/

  • @battl91 thanks

  • Continued.

7 animals were killed in the making of this.movie. Most of the deaths are quick except the little rodent which must have been in fucking agony. I have no problem with the monkey getting its head cleaved because it was quick and the brain actually eaten by the natives.

  • @jamesislush4ever well... in Apocalypse Now, they kill a cow, cutting his head off, and is a beautiful art masterpiece...

  • The scene where the guy kills the little rodent thing with a penknife is just one of the sickest things Ive seen in a movie. Blood, gore, rape etc are what people expect and that's fine as long as it isnt real, but actual animal cruelty is fucking sick.

  • @jamesislush4ever The director, Ruggero Deodato, regrets ever making the film and feels his life was rightfully ruined as a result (his wife left him, friends left him, family shunned him, etc). He feels immense guilt and shame, so let this put your mind at ease.

  • John carpenters original 'the thing'........ Now that is the greatest horror of all time!

  • This is the perfect movie to watch and eat, thx u!!

  • I'm sorry, but I've seen much more disturbing things in film than this, such as the rape and ravage scene in the original Death Wish, or Robert DiNero savaging a woman in Cape Fear...people who are extremely disturbed by this film have probably never slaughtered and butchered their own animals as I have...they wouldn't make it in the bush for ten days.

  • @vennylos the thing with those is you know that is fake. They really aren't raping anybody, but seven animals were killed in this movie. They had no way of defending themselves, and they did nothing wrong. You can't ell me thats not disturbing.

  • @theawesomegman turtle = food, pig = food, monkey = food, snake = vermin, tarantula = fuck it

  • @YogDodoth

Ya but spiders are gross and freaky anyway so I agree...fuck it!

  • You can rent it on Amazon.com, or buy it. And yes, it claims to be the uncut version.

  • Do any1 know where i can watch dis shit me and my boizz woul appreciate it yall

  • @2340warrior Just buy it !

  • This is not the greatest horror film. I think people like you just overanalyze this film. I think all these directors tried to do was make this as shocking and disturbing as possible. And believe me, I know what makes a good movie and story. I mean it was a well crafted movie, and they did good at making it realistic, but watching 95 minutes of animals getting slaughtered and more rape scenes than I can count doesn't make it "The greatest" and doesn't make it a good story there's a difference

  • @LongDieseldog

Exactly. I know what you mean.

Lots of horror fans think horror movies have to be gross and shocking to be horror movies

They did succeed at being shocking and disturbing though

  • @remc0s Most movies never grossed me out or disturbed me, But Cannibal Holocaust actually made me uncomfortable through out the whole film.

There two kinds of gore, first theres the cheesy fun gore like Evil Dead or Dead Alive, and then there's torture movies that may not be as gory, but shocking and horrifying and not funny, like Hostel and Saw.

It seems a new generation of cinema has entered a new torture genre.

  • @LongDieseldog

True, altough i wouldn't want to throw Saw and Hostel on the same pile.

Saw did at least have a story with the torture devices being tools of the main character, whereas the Hostel movies are just about torture and murder and just being gross

But if you, like me, have grown tired of slashers doing the bunch-of-stereotypical-teens-being-killed-off-one-by-one-by-a-maniac routine, there's nothing much left to watch than extreme movies like Cannibal Holocaust

  • @remc0s Well no offense but I coudn't disagree with you more. I have a theory that the slasher genre is becoming extinct. Now a days it's this constaint Paranormal shit, and fucking redundant Amityvill Horror rip offs like "Don't be afraid of the dark" Name a recent slasher film that came out that's not a remake (Beside Scream 4). Cause I haven't heard of any.

It seems now it's either remakes, torture movies, or the fucking redundant super natrual Paranormal bullshit. (sorry for cursing).

  • the human centipede is more disturbing than this movie.........

  • that just a FUCKING BOA....not venomous at all.....i have 3 in my room n i always been bitten by my snake n i dont scream like that.......

  • @thinkofolio Ive had snakes for years of all types and sizes.....IF you are saying that your bit by your snakes often then you are a piss poor snake handler and need to get rid of them. Any person who collects and keeps snake do not not get bitten by them...happens rarely. You are an Irresponsible snake owner and I feel bad for your abused animals.

  • @7WordsET dude,i said i have 3 boas,n i dont said i been bitten by my boas,i said my snake,i have other types that i buy at petstore like ball python n corn n they r so tame(but not while they turn blue) ,some of them i catch in the jungle behind my house, like burmese python n you know how wild snake act before they can be tamed in a few month.u ove reptile n i love reptile too.no hurt feeling ok.i just pity fo that poor boa they kill in this movie.my english is not good enough, hope u undertsand

  • @thinkofolio I guess I took your post the wrong way. It looked like u were saying "I get bit all the time by my snakes and I do not cry" Ive been around snakes long enough to know if handled correctly you will not get bitten. I just figured some one who bragged about getting bitten a lot didnt need the animals. Ok sorry...Im happy you cleared it up for me =)

  • @thinkofolio Also this is why I do not have venomous snakes. I am good with my animals but some times do get careless. I have been bitten 2 times. Both my fault. I still to this day have a large scar on my hand from my Olive Python. She was wild caught import and I was trying to get her to eat frozen rats instead of live. I was teasing her to strike at the rat and instead she got me lol live and learn.

  • yes real live animals were killed in the movie, that's why it looks 'so real'

  • This is playing at the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Boston soon.

  • This film is NOT scary.

    Just incredibly disturbing.

  • @ValtronW Just turn off the music when watching..not that disturbing either.

  • main thing I was concerned about was that piglet they shot.. I hope they butchered it quickly so it wouldn't go to waste.

  • The Real Monsters in the Movie are those 4 American Biatches who came into that village and started playing "God" they tortured inoccent villagers for fun, they killed animals!

they are sick fuckers! they deserved to Die!

  • @jaguar4u2012 "..they deserved to die..." who is playing God now, sick biatch?

  • @vennylos

    go fuck yourself moron!

you have nothing to say! so shut up!

they are murderers, cruel bastards, and they got whats comming to them

the only one who I may feel sorry for is the girl

  • @jaguar4u2012 Heeeyyyy Nazi Boy!

  • @vennylos

you are one sick little man

    I feel sorry for you!

  • @jaguar4u2012 First, I'm definitely not little, and second, if a dweeb like yoiu thinks I'm sick, then I feel VEEERY good about myself. Shove off insulated, momma's boy. You'll never make it in the wild.

  • @jaguar4u2012 confused man

  • @jaguar4u2012 thats the moral of this film, ¿who is really the uncivilized?

  • @jaguar4u2012

    You are right

Before watching this i thought it was about some people getting murdered and eaten by primitives, but when you see the movie, they all called it upon themselves

  • You think this because you never see "A Serbian Film"

  • Banned in 53 countries........ that you never heard of!

  • nothing but a stupid documentary with fake scenes, shitty transitions in bewteen "the same locations", fucked up animal cruelty that verges on being softcore porn.

    P.S.

BIEUUUU BIOUUUU BIEUUU BIEUUUU every fucking 5 seconds.

Have fun watching this dumbass 80s movie preteens

  • i can handle pretty gruesome stuff, but when it comes to animal cruelty... i couldnt watch the turtle scene completely. i started crying, because i couldt imagine the pain what it had. and i guess it wasnt even the only turtle, maybe they had to do that scene multiple times? so sad..

  • @PinkBlushing that sounds more disturbing to feel more sorry for a animal instead of your own kind...

  • @EliteBushido well first of all, it was a movie. they were not killing the people, but they were killing the animals. and i didnt say i felt more sorry for the animal.

  • i have it on dvd uncut and it isnt that gore great movie thoug

  • dah ma leggg dah ma legg! 1:44 -1:46..i laughed lmfao

  • buuuuuhhhhhhh buuuuuhhhhh buuuuuhhhh

    that sound is amazing xD

  • The only thing I found disturbing at times was that which didn't fit, and that was the music. turn it down, and I thought it was just a good movie...authentic looking, and a lot of that meat, both animal and human, looked pretty tasty. Yuuum!

  • Comment removed

  • @vennylos

why shit like you walking on earth?

  • @jaguar4u2012 Nice to know their are still Third Reich Nazis such as yourself walking around. Grow a a pair and butcher your own dinner. Which you apparently never had the fortitude to do, unlike me.

  • How the hell was the director nearly jailed caused ppl thought it was real? Apart from the animals it looked so fake.

  • 00:00

  • this movie is hard to fap to... but not impossible

  • stupid movie

  • God you all need to grow a pair. This movies meant to be gross, if it offends you so much, just shut up and don't watch it

  • This movie sucks my ass...naa I Kidd is a pree good movie

  • Is this movie about the nazi holocaust or a completely different one?

  • @fortran97 COMPLETELY different one. Some fucked up shit.

  • Killing animals for food is one thing. I don't give a shit about that. But these animals were killed on film to 'entertain'. That's totally abhorrent, and no, I'm not just some blleding heart hippie. No real people died; real animals did.

  • @tikifreakazoid i agree apart from the monkey bit were the tribe really do eat monkey heads ect lol.....but that poor turtle lmao....

  • Have to say this film is a classic! Love it...Check this new cannibal film out aswell watch?v=HUVGaHCsKUM

  • Cannibalism

According to the Native Amazon Operation (Opan), cannibalism is not characteristic of the culture of the Indians of the tribe Kulina or Madija, as members tend to their own self-styling. "That would be an unprecedented event. We never heard a case like this. The Kulina are not cannibals. We just have references to cannibalism in Tupinamba and Arawak Indians, but which has come into DISUSE for many years," said Ivar Busatto Luiz, 58, Indian and coordinator of Opan.

  • @jeancarlosantos1992 cool story bro

  • do the actors really die? this film is sick

  • @NikoSaltnes96 Only the animals die (rat being knifed, tortoise decapitaed), people tend to not realise is there are many of these films were trying to pretend they were real, to heighten the scare factor, the actors would go into hiding for a year afterwards just for effect. However with this film it backfired, an italian court had the movie makers in court for murder, the film crew had to bring the alleged victims into court to prove they're alive.google 'video nasties'

  • Gore gore everywhere

  • Back when censrship wasn't even able to censor.

  • The scene when they open the turtle is just... disgusting...

  • 1980's? ahhh so its a comedy then xDD This Day n Age you gonna have to show alot more than blood and chopping shit off. Kids these days r used to seeing beheadings and tortures of actual people found on the web. this is pussy shit compared to wat kids watch these days.

You want to scare sum people for next generation ur gonna have to come up with sum sorta sick shit thats actually happening for real and not fake. first sign of fake = LMFAO shit... Ima go play Dead Space 2...

  • OK fucking seriously...Are they killing real animals in this movie?

  • @comment816 Yes they did! Those sick fuckers...

  • I am from Brazil and there is NO indigenous cannibals on Amazon.

It's clear that many people today know it, but since the film is from 1980

many people may think that such thing occurs in Brazil. The indigenous from Brazil are natives who have even modern habits and has proximity to the non-indigenous man. So do not believe that in Brazil and Colombia cannibalism is something that happens normally. These things only happen in movies.

  • @jeancarlosantos1992 Nah there has been several tribles discovered in the amazon that are cannibals. im not saying it happens normaly..im not saying they are brazilian but they are in the amazon

  • @KeySour Our government does not allow this kind of thing. Funai has a good control over the Amazon and cannibal is no longer true. Is considered a crime and is punished any indian who commits the crime.

  • But I would not go in the Amazon forest alone, not because of the natives, but because of all the animals that inhabit it.

  • @angemala no, but seven animals were killed.

  • im dowlanding the film

I want to watch it ....but ...well killing animals isn't wrong if u actually kill them to survive but they should be killed the way the suffer the less while dying

death is cruel we don't need to make it worst

    ....

  • wie geil

  • So this is a snuff film then?

  • BEST LOOKING MOVIE EVER

  • so, euhmm this is documenter or?

  • The only thing that pisses me off about this is that animals were actually harmed in this film.

  • and this is just a tiny little piece of what's in this movie! I saw her complete and wow I was really impressed! completely! this movie is too strong! aftermath left me for life! god.

  • Even this made my stomache churn. What makes the movie even mor disturbing is that the animals killed were real, and there was even controversy that the people killed in this were really murdered. Sick fuck who made this should be put in jail. Horror isn't supposed to be real, idiots.

  • Idk yea he did show proof that he was but that's why they think its so gorey

  • @cga003 yeah but he showed proof he was innocent

  • They say that they director was sent to jail for killing the actors when filming the movie

  • @cga003 Are the actors dead?

  • This has to be one of the realistic movies I've ever seen.

  • the last ten minutes of this movie where more disturbing than all saw films ever made O.o

  • wow this movie was sikk, in a cool way, disturbingly cool

  • With all the shock value of this movie, people forget that it has very deep and philosophical undertones. It's about the concept of "civilization" and what it means to be "civilized." It's about how Westerners view themselves as above "savage" indigenous cultures, when really, they are no better.

  • my only complaint about this is that the snake is a red tailed boa, non venomous. i had one as a pet and never got bit once.

    otherwise, rock on

  • Goddamn twisted piece of crap...godamnit this movie is fuckin disgusting ! Jizaz ! Piece of crap...I mean it is a good movie...but still...disgusting!

  • whats the grossest scene out of this movie

  • @itzkolpi : Dick being chopped off from a dying man. Except it wasnt a closeup.

  • @itzkolpi when the turtle gets killed ;_;

  • saw that on livesteam

    dat shit is nasty

  • Any of you ever think he could recognise his teeth because there was something different about them that made them recogniseable??

  • "I recognize these teeth"? BULL-SHIT LOL

  • Comment removed

  • that looks fucking awsome

  • All it's got is animal killing.... Look up snakes eating birds on YouTube same shit -.-........ Get over it.

  • Movie was pretty fucked up

  • A special treat for all the Perry Pirkanen fans out there!

    /watch?v=-A-i6PQbfJQ

  • How can someone recognizes someone else's teeth?

  • anyone know a place i can watch this online?

  • @TheBerryTV Actually, I did find the full version of this movie uncut here on Youtube. But it got removed =/ Otherwise, it's really easy to find it online, I think. Just Google it.

  • icanfaptothis

  • Wasn't that big of a deal at all

  • These animals aren't getting killed for food though. they're getting killed for the purpose of entertainment.

  • I agree it is hypocritical to say that animal cruelty is wrong but then eat meat. But as sad as it is, it's the food chain. The best source of protein is meat. It's one of the main food groups. People are always gonna eat it. Now, making a movie for someone's entertainment and showing animals getting slaughtered for no fucking reason is sick. I turned it off right as they put a knife to a monkey's neck. Sick bastards.

  • @sarahluv7 animals are slaughtered for no fucking reason every day girl, look around you , and i dont mean food..

  • @sarahluv7 But they do that in real life ANYWAY - it wasn't done for the movie exactly, they used real tribes. I've seen documentaries where they kill animals, but it's not staged, it's what those people do.

  • @sarahluv7 lol

  • @sarahluv7

They ate the monkeys, it is a delicacy in the amazon.

  • @sarahluv7 animal cruelty is wrong. but eating meat is not. i mean, id rather not let animals life be waisted

  • @sarahluv7

I agree with u 100% but the animals they killed were given to the tribes as food and the monkey brain was considered a delicacy to them,JS

  • @sarahluv7 this is actaully one of the greatest horror movies ever, you know why? cuz those bastards that slaughtered animals, and murderd villagers got what was commin to them!

  • @sarahluv7 I hope the creators who made this rot in hell because of what happened to the animals, especially the turtle, for those who have seen it or know what happens

  • @sarahluv7 they were real tribes that did that

  • @sarahluv7 They shot those scenes with the natives. The natives really ate the monkey's brain because it is a delicacy to them. The rat, monkey, turtle, and pig probably did not go to waste. The slaughtering scene is probably something you would see often if you were a hunter-gatherer.

  • @bindingnemo did they like really kill the animals

  • @ilovemacandchees2 Yes. They really kill animals in this film. It's graphic and shocking.

  • @bindingnemo funny how people care more about animals than people.

  • @frogjezz am I the only one that gets pissed off because of that??

  • @Coopersboy7 No, I do too.

  • @sarahluv7 But you didn't turn it off when any people were killed? Get your fucking priorities straight man; respect your race.

  • The movie shows primal man and modern man and how little difference there really is between the two.

And like the end of the movie says "I wonder who the real cannibals are." Cause sometimes, it's hard to tell the difference.

  • This is the movie every girl that forces me to see twilight has to see first. They have to sit through the whole 96 minute unrated version. Yep.... I'm that asshole.

  • @thegamerguyjames HA! Awesome!

  • @thegamerguyjames sounds like an unfair trade.

  • @thegamerguyjames your the king man thanks for the tip i hate all twilight and ofcorse my girl love them and ofcorse i need to sit by her side and watch the shit XD

  • @thegamerguyjames Im a girl and I can't wait to sit through all 96 minutes of the uncut version (:

  • its not scary, just really... disturbing. When it finished I was just sitting there, staring at the screen like those guys not knowing what to say or think. No other movie I have watched has done that to me

  • Here's the thing, animal rights should be fought for more strongly. If your not a vegan/vegetarian but fight against the acts in this movie and other cruel acts towards animals then you should also, at the least, be fighting (or speaking) for more human treatment of animals used for food. Regarding this movie the killing of these animals is disgusting, a waste, and cruelty. Real human murders should never be depicted, at the very least neither should animals for entertainment and profit purposes

  • even if you disregard the 7 animal killings, this movie still sucked. theres many more disturbing horror movies way better than this.

  • The problem with movies like this now is that if you see enough of them, you become desensitised to them. If you have ever worked at an abbatoir for example, you probably wouldn'
