  • I'm currently reading "Even Cowgirls Get The Blues" by Tom Robbins. It's wild how he'll be talking about the rectal temperature of a hummingbird in one paragraph and the enormity of a woman's thumbs in the next...many times finding complex, rhythmic ways of related the two.

  • The way he uses his left foot is just astonishing. Carlock has such a distinct signature sound.

  • yes.

  • What sang is this? Keith is a groove monster!

  • @soduno Schizophrenic by Oz Noy off album of same name

  • watch out its the idiot 180was commenting on the video. he's a hater. lol .. i kinda like it tho cause we all love keith's playing and he keeps the balance of people enjoying vs. an asshole who loves to hate.

  • I was at this show. Keith is a laid back guy and is so conscious of where his sticking fits within the whole scope of things. His playing with Steely Dan reflects that. I can't wait to see him again, hopefully at 3rd and Lindsley.

  • Great bounce and stick control.

  • Sorry, I thought you guys were talking about the hand/cross stick part. I didn't even notice.....watching in bad quality on my iPhone.

  • He doesn't drop a stick. You'll see him tuck it under his right arm.

  • Just watch close between 0:49 and 0:51....

  • He drops a stick and it doesn't interrupt the flow of the music. Awesome groove control on all four limbs. One of the best.

  • You'd never even know he dropped a stick...

  • @paulo101 if i was only listening to audio, i woulda never known. he's such a busy drummer like Mitch and Elvin. not the bad kind of "busy", of course

  • That was OKAY..............ha.
