Might I ad to your explination... DO NOT PLUNGE LIKE YOU SEE ON TV (Like comedians do) If you watch the vid those were short quick plunges up and down to shake the "DEBRIS" loose... Otherwise you will splash poop water all over yourself!

I used the method and also put 1 box of baking soda and one gallon of white vinegar in commode prior, worked great fast.

so my mom ended up dumping a bucket of water down the toilet inside the bucket of water was a round plastic furniture coaster thing about 2 1/2 inches wide the toilet will fill up almost to the top and go down probably in like 5 seconds the water is obviously going around it but i dont think its ready for business i tried using dish soap and hot water and a snake and but all it did was scratch the hell out of the bowl is there something i can do before i call the landlord? If you make a tiny hole in your plunger on the handheld, then you can fill it just upright.. Now close the hole with your tumb and give the plunger one HARD push.

It will go faster than your 11 seconds.

Hi, TurkishSuperGuy. Thanks for the feedback. It just so happened to take 11 seconds. If it had taken 45 minutes that wouldn't have been nearly as good a title for the video. And the reality is that sometimes when you plunge a toilet you will splash a little. If you watch carefully you'll see that I explain how to minimize the splashing.

His toilet probally had a plug valve that stops closes the tank. all he had to do is flush it so it fills up.. my toilet bowl has that feature although I don't know the purpose of it.
