@Shreeves16 I totally agree! I learned about them only last year and I'm like 48! I want a do over. to do late teens on up over again but this time add the Cramps music in background. It would have been much more fun. He was gone before I could see them live.
I'm mean. I'm a mean machine. I gotta be mean. Just a bad human being. This ain't no art from the the bottom of a henhouse floor. Rip out your brains if ya got 'em throw 'em out the door. Cuz I'm mean...I can't nuthin' dull. I got the gloss lustre. I'll massacre your ass as fast as Bull offed Custer. I'm mean...Ya wanna go to the Devil but you don't like the flames. Blood on Satan's Claw is my middle name.
The Cramps were always great, the influences are obvious yet they had a sound completely original. This album is the best sounding to me, I love the songs, the feel, the sound. I loved their show in Dallas in 1998, I got kicked out 3 times and crashed the stage 4 times. Luxe was very supporting of all the mayhem and he seemed to thrive on it... especially since the bouncers where less than impressed (or gentle) with my alcohol fueled uninhibited ring taled buckaroo antics. Good times.
Oh yeah, Flame Job!! .. The Cramps changed their musical style somewhat with this album. They kinda ditched their patented gothic rock'abilly & punk sound and opted for heavy metal & blues mode,.. but still The Cramps!! It worked!
He was great RIP i remember him giving me the mic at his show once and was right in my face as he climbed up the balcony to the second floor and handed me the mic after he practically swalllowed it as usual!
Thats a tittle of an old Hammer horror movie from the earlyt 70's about Devil-worshiping children murdering people and constructing a physical vesel for Satan.....Check it out, if you have'nt seen it already,..it's a pretty good one.
@TallTartan3 Yeah, i used to watch lux or whatever his name was when he used to walk up and down glenouks canyon near what is now the 2 freeway with a space helmet and one of those 1960s plastic ray guns that shot out sparks.
Life is a clusterfuck huh.
I never said hi, and i laughed at him when i drove past.

It's on Pulp Fiction, when Mia and Vincent are at Jack Rabbit Slim's. It's the song right after "Rumble", by Link Wray, and that's all I know. :(

I always thought it would be funny to hear a really small kid sing this song and really play up the aggressiveness...lol. "I'M MEAN!!"

@PhantomDog Hey did you get your daughter to sing Mean Machine at her talent show?
mlovecraftr 1 year ago
@mlovecraftr
Sadly no. She was reluctant to do so at first and when I finally convinced her, the show wasn't taking any new numbers.
