A friend gave me her rat to take care of because she was pregnant. She gave birth today actually...and 8 out of 9 babies were dead. I'm prety sure she suffocated them by sitting on them when they were born. And she won't feed the last live one...
I'm glad though that my other female that jts had babies about 3 weeks ago is taking it in...
He is fine now. I named him Peanut because he was so runty and small but he grew into a very charming and handsome rat so now he is called Handsome Peanut, (or Handy-P). We still don't know who his father is but his mom is Scar, an older female rex who has since croaked.

Poor little guy. How's he doing now? Gained any weight? I haven't seen a rat pup that small with open eyes before now. Do you dropper feed?
