A muddled 'Noodles Eastern' - celebrating post-modern image over substance in the vogue of graphic novel baroque. The characters are about believable as Disney and the action looks at times like an avante-guarde paint fest. Tarantino is just plain awful – with all the macho authority a line-dance tush-push. But at least he looks different. Sorry to say it but the only thing that moves in this film is the costumes. Westerns need faces…lots of visibly different faces.

It's Tarantino, it is cliché as much as it is brilliant, it shocks us at first, but when you put all those "mistakes" together it cannot be matched. I'd bet that this scene was directed by Quentin and rest of it by Miike.

I can't understand why such a talented film-director and screen-writer like Quentin can't see how terrible alot of his acting is. I rather liked him in PULP FICTION and especially in FROM DUSK TILL DAWN, and DESPERADO, if you count that as acting, but in everything else (in 'Dogs' he was a little out of place with the rest of the gangsters) he is pretty bad... I mean I Know he wants to be an actor, but this role and many other, aren't/weren't for him, regardless how bad the film is in general.
