Why does everyone try to compare Mess and Craig? They both bring two completely different things to the table for DGD. DGD may not need Craig to make great music, but in my opinion, he makes them a hell of a lot better.

No, it's not. Jon Mess stated in an interview as for the future of Dance Gavin Dance, that him and the band still had Secret Band so they'd all be interested in making new music for that project. They just have to focus on DGD right now, obviously.
This secret project was made just incase jonny screwed up and fell out. Now that he's through rehab and everything i dont think they're gonna do much more but still pretty sick.

They obviously weren't unified at that point because half of the people in those albums aren't in the band. And the whole "launching" thing...It depends on how you look at it. You can look at it from the artists side which is the state that the music is in, or you can look at it from the business side where all they care about is sales/popularity.

Yeah Mess is an amazing vocalist, but the true talent in DGD is Will Swan and Matt Mingus. Jus' sayin'. The bass player is the shit too.. Reminds me of TFOT Doppleganger album. Which is fine with me :)
