actually they do that just for advertisement a teddy bear hamster can NOT live in that with that cage the only place it could run is on th e weel. thats better for a dwarrf but then it ould STILL be to small all hamsers need room to move beacause before they were captured and kept as pets they lived in the wild with all that space so try to get a bigger one please for the well being of the hamster

I bought that cage and my ham's a dwarf. It was to small for my dwarf so don't get this for a teddybear! The carefresh bedding is awful tho. Don't get it!

98% of the hamster cages sold at petsmart are to small for hamsters. Just because they show a picture of a hamster on the box, does not mean it's right.

This cage will be *JUST* enough for your hamster. He (or she) should be fine if you take it out for long periods of time.

this is my exact cage, the water bottle leaks like crazy so ended up buying another food dish and letting the hamster drink out of that, the wheel is very squeaky and The only problem i had with the platform thing was that my hamster would go up there and pee with his butt towards the outside of the cage so it would go down the side, that and the bars were difficult to put together so i used twist ties to make sure they would stay together.
