Little dissappointed.....where's the jump brother. Thought that you would wear a German uniform too...or al least a pair of khakis and a beat up sweatshirt.
I have a German 1943 DKW NZ 350/1. These old bike are heavy, slow workhorses with high torque for overcoming mud and snow. You can't jump obstacles like Steve McQueen did (he used a modern Triumph Tiger dressed up as a German motorbike). The movie scene was fantastic and cool, but quite impossible with a real German bike of that time period. Still, these old bikes are great to ride, and even the replicas give you a feeling of history.
my cj has a alloy hand lever connected to the right side of the gear box,so the officer in the sidecar can operate, is this in case the rider gets shot in the left leg
I believe motorcycles even vintage and rare bikes are meant to be ridden...but I would NEVER treat my Norton or my Royal Enfield like this ! If you want to play in the dirt , dump your bike and burn your clutch use a dirt bike. I think your bike deserves better treatment. It is a modern relic with a BMW lineage and they are hard to obtain and soon will no longer be obtainable..
Yeah I'm sure the Chinese military never rode down dirt roads or dumped any of their millions of CJs. They are time consuming to obtain but by no means "hard" to obtain and there are loads of them. They are workhorses, not Fabergé eggs.
Hola!, Podrìas decirme còmo demonios te has podido hacer de una unidad? yo ando loco buscando una y no hay ningùn distribuidor oficial. Otra cosa, estàn homologadas para España?.
Thats the way to do it! reminds me of the time not so long ago i had a 1970 bsa 650 thunderbolt, used it on gravel roads as well as freeways, bikes are for riding, no matter how old or rare they are! cool video thanks!
You're a brave man escaping on several tonnes of underpowered rubbish metal. You've inspired me to try to escape on my CJ750. I don't know why I love these bikes because they are shite.
how reliable is it
