This is the first time that I've listened to these guys and I liked it... I don't know, it kind of reminds me to a modern Pink Floyd, but maybe I should listen to more material before making my veredict...
@hobbit151 If you knew more about the band you would know that without the band itself wayne would be nothing : / he's an amazing guy/frontman but he's not the musical genius of the band.
I like your style. Is anyone else with me in that this is a "grower" album? I'm a pretty hardcore Flaming Lips fan and this album didn't impress me all that much my first time listening. As a matter of fact, I rarely listened to this the first few weeks I came into possession of this record. It definitely crept up on me. Now I can't stop listening to it. I'm glad things worked out that way because it would really be a shame to miss out on this album.
I completely agree. First time through I was easily distracted and not particularly engrossed by the music. Now I can completely lose myself in every track.
@gstefani10101 I know what you mean here, but I just saw them at Free Press SummerFest in Houston and it's extremely obvious they developed this album to improvise during concerts. Best concert I have ever seen, out of well over 100....
@gstefani10101 same thing with me too!..was just saying that today!.....shelved it for weeks ..then saw them live at Mountain park in Mass and now i cant stop listening to it!
@gstefani10101 It just makes you respect music critics more - they have to work out if an album's going to be a grower after only a few listens. You've gotta be pretty observant to work that out.
@gstefani10101 I don’t hardly anything of this band, and like the whole album so far. What do you consider as an absolute master piece from their album works?
This is so inspiring. I love listening to Flaming Lips while writing.

Do you by any chance like Gwen Stefani? This isn't a random troll question either, just your username made me ask, lol.
Either way I agree with you, it took a while for me to love this album but i do now.
