I was the leader wearing white b/c she thought I was the tallest...LOL! That was probably more than 10 yrs ago. I used to teach the Wishing Dance and perform at International Festivals and Ming Mao let us borrowed those devada gear too. I guess you know my cousin, Cristallina (Lina)? She did the scarf dance amongst others.

  • @forg3tm3not770 wow we do heheheheheh lol.

yeah rite now Ming sopheap is da one dat teach da wish dance=]

omg Lina is ur cousin? yes i know her, we'r frens :D

  • @Mizzibabegal What a small world! Ask Lina how she used to do the Wishing Dance with me at International Festivals...she was so young and cute....hehe! Her Sweet 16 is coming up and I will be doing her hair and make-up...hmm...I may or may not do a tutorial on it if she allows me to post it.

  • @forg3tm3not770 hahhaah ikr? dis world is realli small:P i barely get to c her, onli at da temple tho:(

aww realli? imma cmt on her fb a happy bd^^ i think she will allow u to record a vid n post it here. coz i wanna c it:D

  • If you don't have coconut cream., is it ok to use coconut milk too or it will taste different?

  • @cutiebo0 Hi! It will taste different.

  • oh my god, thats so yummy, and i didnt even like coconut

  • hi.. i just want to say thank you for this video... i tried it and its yummy, i put too much tapioca but it still good.. even my coworker who doesn't like coconut ate it and loved it, cus i told her, once it cools down the sweetness of the banana and its sweet banana smell overcome the coconut taste and smell so she love it...

  • @nkaujhmoobvwj I love hearing comments like these...thanks so much!

  • Can i use super ripe banana? Those banana's skin start to turn brown, usually people use if to make banana cake...

  • @PinkPossumNose No because you would do best with firm banana or plantains.

  • What's the name of the song that is playing?

  • @leonav79 Hi! I'm sorry but I do not know.

  • Thanks sister for sharing. Please show us more a different one

  • @veasnakc Hi! I have more cooking tutorials if you would like to view.

  • that look too sweet... my mom love that

  • LOL! My mom loves sweets too

  • i love watching all of your delicious cooking video. my favorite one of the dessert is La pov song kya, wonder if u could show us how to make it :) Thank you!

  • Thanks so much. You're making me very hungry. I haven't had time to make another dessert video and I will add that to my list.

  • one more question, is coconut milk the same thing as coconut cream ?

  • It's very similiar but not the same. The cream gives a much better taste b/c it's more richer, but you can use either one.

  • gonna try making it today then ^^

  • is it good without the tapioca ?

  • Yes, it will still be good without the tapioca.

  • Looks delicious!

  • Thanks armywifeM08!

  • Who is that? your little sister and you trying to sing???

  • No dear...if we were that good, we would had been on American Idol already wouldn't you think?

  • Hi Bong, can you show us to how make nom kom and nom som? I love your videos.

  • Hi paowne equaticblue! I will add that to my list...thanks for watching!

  • OK, so i've had coconut milk in my closet for about a month now, then i remembered u cooked something with coconut milk last night. I made it just now...omg...OMG. it was so good! and only cost 2 bucks (i didn't add tapioca, and I used brown sugar instead of reg.). ur the best, so jealous of ur husband right now!

  • I love it when people know how to modify their food and makeup in order to suit their own tastes. Great job neverknowsbest17! Glad you liked it.

  • this look yummy!!!its similar to the ginatan in philippines!!!i want to make some of this!

  • Awesome! Can you tell me the Filipino version of this?

  • What's the song playing? It makes me feel happy!!

  • Hi xilobabe! Sorry, don't know the song title and artist, but it makes me happy too...hehe!

  • Yes I do thanks to my wonderful aunt that's known amongst my family to make the best desserts.

  • i would love to try this (because it looks great :]) but what is tapioca pearls?

    :D

  • Thanks sexybeautyqueen21. I can't really explain tapioca pearls, but I think it's made out of flour? Maybe somebody can correct me...:P

  • I had the pleasure of making this treat, however, I think I over did it with the tapioca pearl!!

  • LOL! I'm glad that you liked the result though MeSoHorny213!

  • whoa. thats looks hecka good! Us filipinos have a similar dessert called guinitian(spl?) except instead of just tapioca and bananas we add additional things. like taro and such

  • Thats cool... we Cambodians also put taro in this dessert.

  • Thanks KCJBFF! Yes, we also use taro amongst other things as well.

  • Bong,

Are you planning on making more deserts?

  • Hi paowne srey sweetinnocentgurl. Yes I am, but haven't had the chance yet. I hope to make it soon but I know that I'll be busy these next 3 weeks. Please stay tuned.

  • technical question, why did you cut the bananas and let them rested in water with salt?

  • By resting the bananas in salt, it will help keep the color of the bananas instead of that brownish bruised color once peeled.

  • hi! that looks soooo good! question... is it better to eat it when it's warm or cold?

  • it doesn't matter, it's what you like/prefer, I like to eat it cold =)

  • Me too XxDu7KhgirlxX!

  • Hi shymar08! You can eat it both ways, but make sure that you refridgerate the leftovers.

  • yum.

  • Thanks RocerTori106!

  • Thank you so much rossko1369! Tell me how it goes after you make it.

  • this is delicious!! u make me hungry:P

  • Thank you very much walkaway1212!

  • ouu i eat this alot at home, total thumbs up : ]

  • Thanks Tuy3tNhi!

  • Yes chanmalai...very simple and delish if you're looking for that quick sweetness. My grandmother had diabetes and she would had been able to eat a small bowlful. It just depends on how careful you take care of yourself.

  • Yum! I'll have to try this recipe out...looks delicious =)

  • Thanks makeupNdesign! Tell me how it goes...it's a simple and quick delish dessert.

  • wow.. i just love how cambodian you are.. i wish i can cook.. my ex boyfriend use to always tell i'll even burn water if i tried to make anything..

  • Thanks pinksunrays! Yes, I agree that I am still very traditional in many ways (though I was born here)...that's why my husband and I get along great...don't let your ex or any men unmotivate you to cook...gotta keep your tummy full right? I love to eat...hehe!

  • hehe.. no i never let any guy unmotivate me.. i really cant cook tho.. last time i made him scramble eggs for my boyfriend and it was crunchy.. hehe he still ate it tho..

  • thank you for that!

    looks great :)

i think all asians have similar deserts :)

haha i thought you were filipino at first too, but then i heard the song...haha...

anyhoo i'm not sure if i missed it...but what did you do with the other half of the coconut cream?

  • so shes chinese or something pwease tell me!!

  • Hi QueenCherryRamen...no, I am not Chinese nor Filipina...thanks for watching!

  • ok ty :) and np i enjoyed it

  • Thanks MissStephieTing! I agree...I love asian desserts. The other half is added at the end.

  • hi! can you do a tutorial on how to make pad thai? thanks.

  • Hi durrdee! Yes, that's on my requested list. Thanks for watching!

  • excellent execution of cooking video by the way

  • Glad you liked it!

  • love the music hehe

  • Thanks eggrollsnrice! Cute nick!

  • wow that's a LOT of salt! i might try it without using any salt and see what it's like. :)

  • Not really. The salt in the first part is to cut down the slimliness of the bananas and to hold it's color instead of turning the pudding to purple when you cook it and the tsp of salt at the end is necessary b/c all desserts still needs salt. But sure, try it and tell me how it goes...I'm sure it'll taste wonderful.

  • my family has a recipe thats very similar to this but we use lost of sweet rice balls and jackfruit sometimes theres even sweet potato added...you should try it :]

  • OMG! My mom just made something similiar to that last week! It was awesome and I was thinking of doing a tutorial on it too...wow, we really do have similiar cultures. What is your nationality?

  • i'm filipino :D how about you? :]

  • Wow! I didn't know that Filipino makes similiar desserts. I'm Khmer.

  • Now I know after a few video that you are Cambodian as I am. Is your wedding going to be in Khmer tradition?

  • Oohh...I had skipped this msg and didn't even realized that you had written this...sorry. Yes, my whole wedding will be the typical Khmer tradition. I had posted a summarized version of my wedding here if you'd like to view it.

  • yummy :D

  • Thanks genieshanu!

  • My cousin had asked me the same thing and to tell you the truth, I do not know. That was how my mom taught me, but she did said that every dessert still needs an amount of salt no matter how sweet you want it. Thanks for asking Jinirific b/c I'm sure that everybody had this same question. *^_^*

  • I made this today and it was so good. Thanks for the recipe. I don't cook khmer dishes and this came out perfect.

  • Yay! I love hearing msgs like that. I'm glad that it turned out good and that you liked it. Thanks for watching!

  • This is such a cute song! Can you just send me some please! I can't cook:( LOL

  • Aww...thanks Candie! You're more than welcome to visit & you'll get some homemade cooking nonstop...*^_^*

  • looking yummy..sluuurp :)

  • Thanks greentwinkle! You better believe I slurped it all in down to the last drop...hehe!

  • hehehehe :)

  • wat song is that? and who sings itt??

  • Don't know who sings it or the title...just got it from my momma's CD. Just wanted to find a fast beat for the video...*^_^*

  • ooohooooohoooo lol that looks gooooooddd :)

  • It was good b/c my family and I ate it all day...hehe! Can't wait to see you this weekend!

  • Thank you Tha! I can't wait to see you and your family. Lany had txted me that she would not be able to come b/c she just started a new job.

  • Hola sweetie! It's one of my favorites too (or maybe b/c it's easy to make...hehe). We put it in salt water to give chete to the bananas (or so my momma would say) b/c every dessert still needs at least some sort of salt whether a pinch or teaspoon. I also add ice in the salt water afterwards (which I forgot to show) to freeze in the color. C u when u c me in March!!! *^_^*

  • LOLz yea, i made some that night, it was sooooo good. so easy. im such a sweet junkie, u can't get me hyper with just that lol, and then had some the next day in the morning. well thanks again bong srey...

  • Hehe! You sound like me...I was eating it all day and the next day...next thing you know, our dentist gonna tell us we got cavities...*^_^*

  • Yay! That would be great! Thanks for the offer...it's good to know that I have my own personal tour guide there...*^_^* So when will you be coming back to the U.S.? I'm sure you miss your man lots.

  • Yep! Did you meant root potato or taro root? You can use taro, bananas, baby bananas, and plantains. The only difference b/t each is how long you should leave it simmering (i.e. taro & plantains takes longer to get soft).

  • Really? That's great! I would love to go visit Brazil...*^_^*

  • Oooh! Tell me how it goes...thanks for watching mizNary!

  • Thanks ilurvemakeup!

  • the song made me happy, and i have no idea what they are saying.. but it went well with this recipe ;-)

  • I don't really pay attention to the lyrics but I thought the tempo might go with this recipe...hehe! Thanks sweetsmiley22!

  • oh man..those pearls and coconut milk are to die for! ahh asian desserts are so nummy -_- cool vid =)

  • They also all go towards my hips and tummy...hehe! Thanks Christina!

  • Thanks stillaroze...there's more to come soon! *^_^*

  • looks yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks zombiesbride!

  • i love it! there's actually a filipino dessert similar to this its called ginataan.

  • Thanks b3bkoolit! That's awesome! Since you said it's similiar, how do you guys make it?

  • Thanks bong, I was waiting for this. It looks really eazy to make, and Im sure that i'll be able to make some tonight... LOL thanks alot. Will u be making anymore cooking tutorials? If so, can't wait!!!!

  • Thanks paowne srey! Yes, it's very easy to make, but you sure you want to make it at night? You'll be hyper throughout the night due to the sweetness. I've been eating it all day and I can feel myself getting hyper...hehe!

  • do you chill it afterwards before serving?

  • Nope, you can eat it hot/warm, but if there are leftovers left, then you have to refridgerate it so that the coconut cream would not go bad.

  • looks easy to make;

simple -- i'm so gonna try this!

  • Yes, it's very easy to make with your typical ingredients already in your kitchen.

  • It look really tasty...btw what are tapioca pearls?

  • Thanks grothesque! Wikipedia defined it as, "a flavourless starchy ingredient produced from treated and dried cassava (manioc) root and used in cooking".

  • Ooo! This looks yummy! And not hard to make!

  • OMG, I was eating it all day today...yes, very easy and a great dessert! Thanks starofmay!
