Hey eugene updated his new rom can you make a step by step tutorial of how to actually flash it and do everything to get the phone to 2.2 flashed and everything. I had my vibrant since july and i have waiting so long for 2.2. I dont want to wait any longer and i do not know how to flash put roms or anything. I would really appreciate if you make me a tutorial. You seem to know what you are doing and i hope you will help a nub when it comes to this stuff. Thanks for your time!
@carlacooper01 Tried to give it to someone else, but the apk didnt work, you probably have to push it to system/app for it to work, so you need to be rooted, but ill send it to you if you pm me your email.
@DaddySaysTo are you going to post a vid of the updated version that they posted or are you going to wait til this weekend when he releases another update?
@pluvse I will make another update, when something drastically changes. A few changes here and there are not enough to make a video. But if we get some customizations, or once GPS is working I will make another one.
@loonyeye20 shouldnt need a lagfix and i just posted a video on pushing the swype files using adb, but you need androidsdk (search it) and drivers for your phone (usually install when you plug it into your comp, automatically, but sometimes dont, get them from xda forums in the vibrant section if you dont) before you start it, but adb is pretty simple.
I'm wondering if I shouldn't use titanium to restore, what did you use to restore settings? Or do I have to treat it as a totally new phone. I would love to have my sms messages back
@Dayo1224 Use sms backup and restore from the market, its free and works perfectly for me.

You can go through manually and pick and choose the ones you THINK are the right ones. Like if it says com.sms.android...... or something like that. I believe there is a red one that has to do with sms and a green one, but not sure which one actually has the stored info on it.
@loonyeye20 Nope, thats the first thing I did was install Titanium backup. Try rebooting, and if that doesnt work then wipe cache, if that doesnt work factory reset, if that doesnt work then reflash rom :D

I'm still trying to figure out how the GPS doesn't work but Google Maps does. I wonder if I can use Copilot or Team GPS then.

The video says that restoring apps and system data with Titanium Backup doesn't work. Does this mean only system stuff or user applications too?

@psphacker8 No just system data, you can restore apps with data just fine. System data will change settings and features in your rom and f it up.
