  • This is Newport in South Wales, not Essex in case you get confused

  • I have seen that 150 at Weymouth.

  • What happened to them, was that they belonged to Silverlink metro, but when Silverlink metro became London Overground, the Bedford - Bletchley line, a silverlink county route that shared the 150s was taken over by London Midland. Stupidly, the 150s from the Bedford - Bletchley route and the Gospel Oak - Barking routes all went to London Overground, leaving LM having to move some Birmingham 150s south. London Overground therefore had two many and some transferred to FGW. Great Video. 5*.

  • I saw the Silverlink 150 at Plymouth.

  • nice notice the 158 was packed and the 150 practically empty

  • haha imagine being in the class 150 knowing that the carriage in front was air-conditioned, properly heated, nearly sound tight and comfy seats and without the smell of disinfectant! :)

  • they should make em pay extra for the people in the 158! lol

  • Not a bad idea!!!

  • my reaction too!!!!!!!! :S:S

  • Nice vid I think I have seen the silverlink 150 5*

  • Nothing wrong with pacers!

  • Now that is a livery! Much better than the TPE 185's neon colours. I didn't know Silverlink, well London Midland it is now, had let some of their 150's go...

  • And I think most of London Midland 150s will end up at Northern Rail probably stopping at a railway station near me!

  • You could be right, it states that Northern Rail is to get DMU from both London Midland and London Overground, where LO has only one DMU, the Class 150. It would come into play when London Overground get their new Class 378s, and when Northern give their 321s to London Midland. Northern is also meant to get new EMUs for the Manchester lines, which can only be the Class 321s that London Midland don't want!

  • they were actually Silverlink Metro units therefore they were used on London Overground services

  • Either that or FGW got them when Silverlink went...

  • that's why i wasn't particularly referring to london overground as in the company

more as a generalised service group

  • Proper 158!

  • nah Pacer cant work to Portsmouth they are banned from areas with 3rd rail cos they boucne around do much

  • I think Pacers work the route sometimes!

  • @Hyperen Oh god no!

  • @Hyperen Nope Portsmouth route is 158, 150 & 153 operated, but the 153 don't normally go beyond Southampton Central

  • Nice, like the Silver-link, seen it today

  • nice video mate
