  • I'd love to have a chat with a 20-year old Christopher Lee. Knowing him only as an elderly person I wonder what he was like when he was as old as me... It's crazy what this man has done.

  • I much prefer Lee's vampire than the goody lovey moody shithead vampires in todays crap movies like Twilight where all they do is talk shit...Vamps are supposed to be EVIL and don't give a damn about nobody

  • @tron19645 But Edward sparkles in the sunlight. :) No, I totally agree with you. The TWILIGHT series is pure crap.

  • this man made a history.,.......

    known as count dracula.

    from greece with unlimited love

  • I like how Lee treats women in his films. he acts like an authotitative asshole, yet they gravitate to him anyway because he's such a fucking man.

  • A few of those photos...... looked like Al Pachino

  • This man has a Right to be caleed as A TRUE LEGEND.

He Really Really deserves a "LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT OSCAR AWARD"...

I really really respect Sir. Christopher Lee....

    He is my legend....

  • I really loved this he is such an interesting man I might have missed it but loved him as Flay in Gormenghast. Good work you all. Love love love it. xxx

    raven

  • What movie is image 1:38 from?

  • @HarborVision That's from THE MAGIC CHRISTIAN, a comedy with Peter Sellers and Ringo Starr. Lee had a cameo as a vampire about the ship at the end.

  • @ 4:39 I recognized Christopher Lee, Vincent Price and Peter Cushing. Was John Carradine the other man?

  • @tenhirankei Yes, it was. That was a publicity photo for HOUSE OF THE LONG SHADOWS.

  • Anyone think he looks like Nicholas Cage?

  • @ 0:51 you! Mr. Ichabod Crane!

  • Excellent!

  • this the most epic video ever im so glad i was named after him XD

  • hes a living legend man

  • 89 years old and still going strong. What an incredible man.

  • King Haggard?

  • this man is incredible and he is still alive and acting at 89 !

  • DeNiro / Mikkelsen - mix?! o.O

  • He deserves a Lifetime Achievement Oscar.

  • CHRISTOPHER LEE, is one of the few remaining icons..specifically, HORROR..VINCENT PRICE, BORIS KARLOFF, PETER CUSHING, BELA LUGOSI,LON CHANEY JR...these people are all gone and they all left indelible marks on the horror genre..so did LEE..i remember as a kid sitting in the theater, watching trailers for his DRACULA movies..he scared the HELL out of me..i could not sleep....i could not sleep well for a couple of days after seeing those..but at the same time he is a great actor..

  • The man with the golden gun.

  • You forgot DiZ from Kingdom Hearts!

  • the day Christopher Lee is at Death's doorstep Death will turn him away and say "You have much to do I'll give you another ten years." Ten years later Death still doesn't want to reap Christopher Lee.

  • @Vasun05 He might give Death a menacing glare and frighten him away.

  • @tenhirankei that will only happen when Death actually wants to claim him

  • May God bless Christopher Lee and watch over his soul. He is one of the best actors I've seen on film and he deserves to live a long and healthy life ^^. May he live long. You are awesome Christopher Lee. Hehe funny: my name is also Christopher :).

  • Awesome picture at 4:39!

  • Great video! Thanks for putting this together, plus I really like the music. Good job.

  • also....what music is this? sounds perfect to the theme

  • so strange to see images of Sir Christopher Lee as a younger man...my first memories of him was his role in the Wicker Man (no I do not mean that more recent bastardized remake)

the world will be a far emptier place when the day comes (hopefully a good ways away) when he passes on.

  • @RuralTowner Lord Summer Isle ...that was the name of the role...but perhaps the one role he'll probably best be remembered, at least by the younger generation, is as Saruman...never has there been such a great actor and probably not another shall there be

  • Admire and Respect you Sir Christopher Lee - from South Korea.

  • Lord Summerisle. His best role by far. Chris Lee in a wig and a dress skipping to 70's Folk and then burning 'The Equilizer' in a giant wicker basket, While Britt Eckland flaps her baps about singing a shanty. Thats a film!!

  • One of the geatest actors that are still alive...

  • This man probably has the biggest variety of roles on his Resume and nobody knew about it! I think this guy deserves a little more credit.

  • thanks for making this. I just got done reading his autobiography.

  • The thing about Sir Chris is that his own story is probably more interesting than 95% of the movies he has been in!

He was type cast because of his looks and height, but as often the case ,couldn't be more different than the roles he plays.

He is Intelligent thoughtful and compassionate, and I am so pleased he is getting so much recognition now, while he is still with us.

  • Sometimes I wonder if Christopher is even mortal !!???

  • 4:40 his best friends and only he's left ;( that guy on left and down is moff tarkin, peter cushing but he is dead :(

  • One role I liked was Night of the Big Heat. Lee really worked those birth-control glasses his character wore. XD

  • when he dies , his last face is gonna look like something between 2:47 and saruman

  • This was GREAT!! Loved the clips, loved the fades and loved the pacing with the cool theme music. Very professionally done. Bravo! Best out there.

  • Thank you George. This man has always been one of my favorites, and I grew up on Hammer films. Mr. Lee has had an incredible career. He is one of England's finest.

  • The music it seems like a eulogy even though I never want christopher lee to die. This generation needs him more than any others before them. They need to know what a real actor looks like!

  • what movie is at 5:22?

  • Peter Cushing didn't die, he went back in time and was reborn as Chistopher Lee. There must always be an aged wise British bad-guy.

  • Awesome tribute vid. Props!

  • He was young and handsome at the 1:30 mark.Cute pix of his wife and little girl ( on the grass).

  • 3:02 Wich movie is this?

  • @EiNoHAlBESoCARO That's the Hammer Films version of THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES (1959). Lee played Sir Henry Baskerville and Peter Cushing was Holmes. The girl in the photo was Marla Landi. It's one of the best versions of the oft-filmed tale.

  • He's tremendous..

  • its kida cool that people recognise the fact that the guys that played the villians in most movies were actually the real stars and far superiour actors than the so called leading actor folks.thats why guys like chrisopher lee will be remembered long after the less talented lead men/women hes worked with.respect!!!

  • he was also willy wonka's dad. in the one with johnny depp

  • Christopher Lee is withought a doubt one of the top 10 actors of all time in my opinion... the wickerman is one of my favorite movies of all time...

  • The pics with him with the long hair and the eyepatch, what movie(s) are those?

  • @cjx09 Those are from THE THREE MUSKETEERS and THE FOUR MUSKETEERS.

  • A true British icon. I'd take him over Lawrence Olivier any day of the week. Great man.

  • He has had a remarkable career, no doubt!

  • Lugosi is really funny.Cristopher is the real dracula.Scary, charming, talented!!!

  • Christopher Lee rocks. lml

I like the font at the beginning, by the way. What's it called? =D

  • where the hell is gremlins 2??

  • chucknorris<Christopher Lee

  • How old is christerfer lee he is a bad ass :D

He look like he is in his 70s

  • @thecomicaleagle101 He is in fact in his late eighties! I think he was 79 whilst filming Star Wars II, which would have been filmed in about 2001. About 88 then?

  • @thecomicaleagle101 He's 88 ^^

  • @thecomicaleagle101 he is 89

  • in the same time he looks like an old man to some kind of authoritive swordman?

  • how do you do that? I always look the same he looks totally different.

  • Damn, the man is a legend

  • I like the J Alucard part. Well I met Mr Lee 3 times in my life He was impressive. I know he is terribly modest and if I say so it is because he said something to me that was part of him and that I shall never reveal. He probably doesn't remember me but never mind. Thank you Sir

  • @TheKiki1953 Wow, where and when did you meet him?

  • Anyone knows where can I find the music from this video? Or how it is called? I know it´s written bellow, but anywhere I found track called like this, it was something different. Thank you :)

  • @JaneMagdalena The music was originally from DRACULA HAS RISEN FROM THE GRAVE but YT made me change it for copyright reasons. I had to use one of their library tracks and I can't remember what it was called. Sorry. Peace.

  • @gb42760ad1972 Oh, I see. Thank you :)

  • @gb42760ad1972 Next to the video description, under the like/dislike bar, I get an infobox that says it's called "Timeless Passion" by "Phil Thornton"; with links to eMusic and iTunes. So for anyone who was still wondering, there you go. :)

  • @JaneMagdalena according to Soundhound it's called Timeless Passion by Phil Thornton

  • @jaypaniczone Oh, thank you very much :)

  • @JaneMagdalena

Hi. The music is called Timeless Passion, by Phil Thornton.

  • @JaneMagdalena

The song that is played on the You Tube video, "The Many Faces of Christopher Lee" is from the CD "Angelic Harmony" by Phil Thornton. The title of the music is "Timeless Passion". You can listen to it on Amazon.com, under "music" by Phil Thornton, CD Angelic Harmony. Hope this is what you were looking for!

  • @rollergirl55 Yes, it is. Thank you :)

  • Love the 0:57 foto! :)

  • whats the movie where he played as the chinese guy?

  • @Phantomerik24 He played Fu Manchu 5 times in FACE OF FU, BRIDES OF, VENGEANCE OF, BLOOD OF & CASTLE OF, as well as playing Chung King in the Hammer Film, TERROR OF THE TONGS. Peace, George.

  • One of the most inspiring videos I've ever seen, thank you so much.

Now I trully understand what acting means, ladies, gentleman: Christopher Lee.

  • great vid,Christopher Lee is such a fantastic actor and a very interesting person.

  • Christopher Lee and Gary Oldman are a lot alike in their range and brilliance. It's a shame neither has won an Oscar.

  • 2.13 thru 2.19. I still watch these scenes on my dvd. Best Dracula enrance to date.

  • That film wit him as captain, what film is that?

  • His best roles were the ones where he didn't speak much.

  • Sir Christopher Lee must had won an oscar ,well no... he must had won all !

    haha

he is really an awesom men, really great person, great actor , and also a good singer...

and another said: "Sir Christopher Lee is the definition of cool!"

  • Which reminds me today: Happy Birthday Sir Christopher - still going strong at 88!

  • Well done. Sir Christopher Lee is a classic.

  • It is a surprise that Sir Christopher Lee hasn't won an Oscar in his long career (spanning over 60 years), but what I am even more amazed at is that an actor as talented as him doesn't have an Oscar. It's ridiculous!! He is the most talented and versatile actor I have ever seen.

  • simply a genius

  • I agree with Harveydents. For crying out loud "even" Richard Taylor at Weta workshop has won not less than 5 oscars; for best makeup, special visual effect and costume design. It is absurd and scandalous that Lee has not won a single one in a career that has spanned over more than 6 decades. Not to mention his brilliant portrayal of villians like Dracula, Scaramanga, Count Dooku, Saruman just to mention a few.

  • Sexy Christopher Lee, always great. Glad someone made a tribute to him.

  • Christopher Lee is just awesome...(so was Peter Cushing)..

  • Count Dooku and Grand Moff Tarkin (Peter Cushing) at the 4:39 mark. =)

  • Pity people only think he did horror movies. He'll always be type-cast for those, though I understand he finally did for Dracula, what Bela Lugosi never managed to achieve - made Dracula sexy !! Mmm. I concur !

  • If I had my Sir Christopher Lee would have an Oscar, he is a genuine star, he deserves so much more recognition,he is beloved by the entire world for his contributions the arts. I would love hollywood to open up there minds and hearts and put him in a musical comedy, he has the greatest comedic timing, and is a class act. He is truely loved and admired by all. I will forever be a fan, I hope one day to meet him, soon...

  • Sir Christopher Lee is the last remaining icon of the hollywood horror genre. He is a great actor, able to carry any role, from shakespeare to frankenstein he is the greatest and still going.

  • He'd make an amazing god character.

  • go up to your URL bar, put a Q between the words you and tube and then press enter or click go

  • Damn.. in 1:36 he looks just like a mob boss...

Anyhow! Sir Christopher lee Is the most under-achiving actor ever to live! I mean he i is one of the best actors i have ever seen! and he dosen't got a single Oscar and nearly none awards!

  • in 0:42 he looks like Michael McDonald from Madtv!

  • Why the hell has THIS GUY NOT WON an OSCAR?? but that fat ass from precious is nominated this year/???/ Just shows you how douchebaggy the oscars are!

  • I agree with you 100%. You must be my evil twin, harveydents. :) Peace, George.

  • @harveydents Its generally political and by vote.

  • @harveydents The straight forward answer is because he wasn't in high profile movies very often. He was usually in cult hits.

    He deserves multiple oscars.

  • @harveydents If you are referring to Peter Jackson. He no longer has a fat arse, jerk.

  • I believe he doesn't need one... ;)

  • @harveydents you are right wtf, oscars must be awarded to excellent actors not random fat asses who just had one movie, yeah right, lee has been an actor for a lifetime how much would i bet you that the fat ass wont get hired again eww lol

  • @harveydents Oscars have not been about actual talent for a very long time. It's more of a popularity contest.

  • I think i have every one of these dvd;s

  • Christopher Lee is the definition of "Actor"

  • Christopher Lee is the definition of cool ... oh, sorry, I meant to say Sir Christopher Lee is the definition of cool!

When I was a kid, watching him as Frankensteins monster was one of the few times I got freaked from a movie monster.

May he live for another 50 years!

  • @fenriz218

When he dies i will go to his funneral and

pay my respects such a great man!

  • @fenriz218 :-)

  • @fenriz218 to Hell with that...may he live forever!

  • can you give me the name of the music that's being played by james bernard?

  • does anyone think he looks like nicholas cage?

  • My mother used to always say the same thing. I can see the resemblance. So, its only apropos Cage starred in the WICKER MAN remake. Too bad he didn't play Lee's role. Peace, George.

  • @Maruragakari Well if anything Nicholas Cage looks like him. Since Christoper is older.

  • @hannigan06 true. but do you think they look the same :)?

  • @Maruragakari I can see a connection yes.

  • No love for Detonator, huh?

    (Can't say I blame you.)

  • But not enough Star Wars pictures!!!!!!

  • Great upload!

  • Thanks.

  • U forgot he is a actor in Jinnah

  • nice

  • his voice is so badass

  • great photo! 4:38

  • I once read that Lee had made more movies than any other actor - at the time, about 250 - and that was DECADES ago. Wonder what his total is now?

Loved him in the "Three Musketeers" and "Four Musketeers" films.

  • @wyheadintx He's in 265 movies and video games on IMDB, but that includes voice acting and five films that are in post-production.

  • He has a new CD out in March 2010 with Rhapsody.

  • @EMERALDEMMY no he doesn't. it's a different group of musicians.

  • yeah, what's the name of this song? It's sooo beautiful and mesmerizing

  • What a superb collection of photos.Thank you for sharing.

Need to get a pic in there from SERIAL- he was hysterical in that.

What is the music playing underneath?

  • he is a horro king. right up there with Bela

  • Oh yes 4:46 one of the most epic pictures i have ever seen!!! truly the horror classics of old!!!!!!!

  • Christopher Lee IS movies. His voice makes everything epic.

  • christopher lee is a legend and he will even when he retiers

  • I get the jonny alucard bit

  • i love him!

  • i think on a few pictures he looks like tony montana

  • A legend. He and Vincent Price are my all time favorites. Vincent wins by a hair, but that's just me.

  • Superb!!

    Définitively Fan!!!

  • he is the definition of what a man should be ;

dark, tall and with an amazingly deep voice!

    legend

  • rip from england

  • God he is one sexy man. YUM YUM!

  • in his youth he was amazingly good lookin!

  • like me :)

  • What do you mean?!? He's still hot shit! :D

  • An Amazing Man.

  • At 4:38 I recognize Lee, Cushing & Price but who's the chap in the lower left corner of the foursome?

  • that would be John Carradine

  • JOhn Carradine..David's father and also actor of horror movies.

  • Very nicely done, a wonderful tribute -- Christopher Lee is always great

    Thank you,

    Morgana

  • mine favorite actor too

  • he is the best of the ''bad'' guys :D

  • can u please tell me in 1:39 , 1:53, what moive is that ...??

  • Sure. At 1:39 the movie is THE MAGIC CHRISTIAN. Lee had a cameo as The Ship's Vampire. 1:53 is from DRACULA AND SON aka DRACULA, FATHER AND SON. Despite the titles, he doesn't play Dracula in the film. The movie is based on a book called PARIS VAMPIRE. Peace, George.

  • An excellent tribute to cinema's greatest aristocrat of evil.

    Well done!

  • Thanks. He is The Master!!! Peace, George.

  • yes i agree with you george christopher lee is the master and will always be in my book he,s my favorite actor

  • "aristocrat of evil." Good one random...Sir Christopher is also an all around 'smooth dude' in my estimation.

  • * Nicked from Baseline's Encyclopedia of film's description of Bela Lugosi.

You know Christopher Lee is so many of his movies he goes around murdering people by biting them or strangling them or shooting them or having them burnt alive or running them through with a sword? Yeah?

Well, he's not a bit like that in real life in fact he claims never to have refused an autograph request and still gets 20 letters a day and replies to them all!

Yeah! Christopher Lee KBE! Woot Woot!

  • Where can I write to him? I'm from Argentina (send me a pm)

  • Christopher Lee's Agent:

    Jean Diamond

    London Management

    2-4 Noel Street

    London, W1V 3RB

    United Kingdom

  • 4:27...Al Pacino much?

  • 5 months late i know but yes he does resemble Al Pacino...

  • My Favorite actor of all time!!! LONG LIVE CHRISTOPHER LEE!!!

  • he is now "sir christopher lee" finally

  • Yeah. How cool is that? Now he needs a Lifetime Achievement Oscar. Wouldn't that be something? Peace, George.

  • I hope he gets a special Oscar BEFORE he dies. He deserves a Lifetime Achievement Award, for sure!

I guess Shakespearean actors get more respect than actors who play horror villains, perhaps rightly so, to an extent. That's why Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Ian Holm got knighted long before Christopher Lee did. I think he just lived a lot longer than anyone expected him too, so they thought "Oh let's give the guy a freakin' title already, before he kicks it!" :-p
