SugarCRM is impressive for what it is. Anyone looking at Sugar should also look at vTiger. vTiger "feels" a little more open - the vast majority of addons are also open source and free.
SugarCRM has many useful addons, but most of them appear to be licensed (ie paid).
a) you get the source and can easily build a working system from it
b) any "normal" addons are also free - Outlook connectivity for CRM or email systems shouldn't cost anything.
@jdpfu459 Actually, I integrate Sugar CRM regularly as part of my company's provided services and there are MANY open source / free add ons. I very rarely use paid for add ons (less than 10 percent for sure). There are 2 places for finding addons, one is Sugar Exchange and this IS mostly paid for add ons and Sugar Forge which is mostly free add ons.
