@XxOrochimaruX Ukanlos, I admit, is kinda silly looking, and akantor is indeed much more menacing. But I say Fatalis and Alatreon are equal, though Fatalis is a bit better for me. Atatreon is literally just an enlarged Kushala Daora with some new elemental powers and a couple fancy tricks.

Yeah, according to the wikia Alatreon is one of the most feared monsters, only the young and unexperienced ones are in risk from major monsters such as Deviljho, Agnaktor or Rathalos but the adult fears nothing and it is almost unstoppable and only very few elders dragons such as the fatalis "can hope" to defeat an Alatreon. So this guy is seriously a beast, no wonder why they nerfed him in Portable 3rd.

Meh, this theme sounds OK on its own but I don't think it has any rememberable motif. The Alatreon is awesome to fight - I've fought him 150 times and I'm still not tired of him, but the theme isn't one of my favourites from this game.

Take a kushala daora, lobotomize it, rip the horns off a fatalis and weld them onto the skull with strange voodoo magic, now to finish, rip some scales off of a nargacuga paint them black and revitalize the beast. There you have it your own sparkling bastard dragon of fail.

When Fatalis met the terrible Twilight series he learned of a new trick. This was how to sparkle. Many years later, he passed that trick on to a newborn dragon and told him to use it. This newborn was Alatreon, now known as the Glittering Black Dragon, all thanks to his predecessor, Fatalis.

Throughout Alatreon's younger years, he wanted to be just like "Old Man Fatalis" and went on a journey. He met Kushala Daora and learned of many tricks from him, too.

Nice how his BGM first gives a damp sense of hopelessness, but then it shifts to strong, spirited music symbolizing determination and courage somewhere around 1:50 the first time. Pretty awesome.
