The Moody Blues are truely a one of a kind band. They're so unique-a synthesis of artistry, sensitive poetry, techincal skill all delivered in a cosmic vison. The Moody Blues are simply a rock band par excellence.
MB (sans ray thomas) came to my small town for a concert in 2003 ........ still can't believe it ...... and they were mindbogglingly awesome! will always remember how fantastic of a show they performed!
@frizzlefrap Not sure, but Ray Thomas is singing the high, etheral vocals. Just a guess that Graeme Edge may have sung the "whispering vocals" since he composed and wrote the song. Just a guess. An absolutlety compelling and atmospheric song. What a composition!!!!!!!!!!
... the thing is, we've regained the "rivers we've lost" (abviously never were really lost); & now the absolute insanity of the "Global Warming Zealots"... sure, we've got to be wary of keeping care of our environment (who WANTS to live in a "poor environment"!), but the childish small-mindedness of the Ultra-Greens, who wish us all(except them) to crunch down into urban hovels & walk everywhere? Screw 'em.
to nataschinka ~ I know wh@ you mean, but there is still a talent like them today....I'm going to see The Moody Blues gig this September. How could I not? They are legendary! ☼ ;-j
Time turns all men, all women to dust; small. Small as the particles from whence we came. From us comes a new day, a break from, a continuation of, all that we know and may become as one. Lines of thought, branches of reason, neurons transmitting and relays relaying all that's changing for ever more.. on into the mists of time.
These were my teachers... What a pity as a young child they'd listened to their tribes kosher-lies about-me & thought that I'd been dumb enough to believe what I'd once been brainwashed to think about something they called "GOD" when that was not even his name... The real-one (s) are called "ELOYHIM" as some "ELO" musos rightly insisted or demanded actually... Also of the same kosher tribe but along with the former they never understood I'd have learned much faster if they'd let me teach them...
Don't You Feel Small love that question....yes no maybe don't know yet how to feel I do love wading into some fluid though every now and then

Certainly there's talent behind the best bands, range, diversity, voice, etc. But when you hear a band and they sound like no one else, well . . . .

Look at progress,
Then count the cost,
We'll spoil the seas
With the rivers we've lost
