Having to drive myself everywhere here in the US, I enjoy taking trains, and buses when I can to sit and enjoy the ride and scenery it takes the headache out of being the driver all the time....(plus I used to drive commercial truck as a job too, I have had my fill of driving.
まさに長ーい旅ですな。今なら飛行機でひとっ飛びなのに。本編も見ましたが今ではありえない風景がいっぱいです。

この映画のラスト、佐賀駅での急行の到着・発車のシーンもすばらしいです。
ピカピカのC57（門デフ付き）がでてきます。

横浜駅の映像は、スロハ32とスハ43が入ってるので、おそらく急行大和って
言われていますね。車内はナハ10かナハ11なので、急行薩摩でしょう。
当時九州行きの優等列車は、蒸気牽引の関係もあって長大編成を組みやすい
軽量客車への置き換えが進んだそうです。途中でスハ44の特急編成が
映ったり、貴重な映像ですいね。

50 years ago, the highway is not in Japan.
