When you discover the truth about the Alamo it is a shocker! Bowie committed suicide and about 110 ran from the walls leaving their poor comrades (about 60-70) inside to die. Sam Houston tried to tell them to abandon the mission but a Captain Neil convinced them to stay and then he took off. It is all myth!

Texas is a great state but the history of independence was lame and sad...I have many years reading about history and the fact is that there wasn't such a rebels in texas, they were american invaders living there and the only motive they disliked the mexican goverment was because Mexico abolished slavery 50 years before Lincoln and the "texans" wanted to import slaves form the USA but Mexico didn't acept it. USA wanted a new state and he got it, that's the only truth
