  • There is no mental illness. It is all about how one hold's them selves. Yes. You are judged by how you look. That's just the way it is. How you are judge affects who you are. Change for the better, that is how you change the world. Lengthen the spine, free the neck, then you can balance the head atop the shoulders. This is a subtle change and can happen while your are under the stress of changing. Good luck all.

  • people need sunlight. thats part of you depression. i have been sick with a stomach flu for the past 2 days and i haven't gone outside and i feel like i am gonna go crazy. we need sunlight. i love warm beautiful sunny days!

  • I hate the winter months. I love summer and I thrive in the summer.

  • pull up;;; a simple answer to depression

  • sun gives off uv and atural vitamin e like insted of giving a newborn artificial vit e they put them under uv rays..johndice did i spell that right? anyways ya the sun and watching cartoons and trimming your toenails and wiping a runnynose cause cancer but i live in souther california and oh yes people love the sun its great for you and the doctor told me to take my daughter with jaundice out in the sun for a few minutes at a time all day to get rid of her jaundice

  • in scandinavia there's a lot of people who get depressions.. because their lack of sun is even bigger... especial north of the artic circle, where the sun doesn't rise for several days (i don't know, i think even month)

  • u rele shud update ur videos lol

  • your videos are compelling.

keep up the good stuff. i hope you feel a lot better soon. i'm getting really nervous about the fall and winter, seeing as july, nov and december are big trigger months for me. i live in the pacific northwest like you and i suffer from bipolar disorder and i think SAD too. i want to move to tucson or somewhere bright! wanna come? lol

  • I'm glad you're feeling better, sweetie! *hugs!*

  • SAD is completely preventable. I say this as someone that is intimately familiar with it. My suicide attempts came like clockwork at the end of winter for years. 6 years of hot Sacramento sun, no winter, no snow, no clouds or rain for 180 days at a time. No SAD either! :)

Also St.John's Wort never dented my depression at all.

  • a simple answer to depression...<that video has been prescibed to you

  • Good information about those conditions. :) Yes, you do look rather bright there....lol. Do you use a digital camera to record your videos?

  • I usually use my macbook webcam to record. It was unusually bright when I recorded there though.

  • I see. :) I just have my digital camera. The picture quality isn't as good as your videos....lol.

  • good advice all around!

  • Also, I agree that depression is treatable but its complex when you see so many doctors and the doctors dont always see what is causing the depression- it could be diet, life circumstances, stress, upbringing, vitamin deficiences, the list is endless...

  • the list is not endless but it is large enough to seem overwhelming to many. I took responsibility for treating myself and my life as an experiment, and very deliberately learned how to control all those factors. Diet, life circumstances, vitamins, amino acids, stress management, intensive aerobics which increases neurotransmitters naturally. Depression free for over a decade now :)

  • Hey. I never really understood the diferences between things like psychotic depression and schizophrenia and some of the others. I've been to several docs, and one diagnosed me schizophrenic, another aspergers and others depression and apd.

  • Hi, I'm going to start an ad again this week. Been depressed for quite somtime now. I was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder and have had many depressive episodes as well as hypomanic episodes. I really hate it and I don't think I can live with it anymore.

  • Sounds like my mom.

  • LOL, nature never intended us to live so far north. We should get our moody asses back down to the equator where we belong! =P

  • Amen! I grew up in a dark house, at the bottom of a hill in New Hampshire. My mother and I had SAD every year for over a decade. As soon as I turned 20, I moved to Sacramento,CA and later San Francisco. I have never had SAD since. Keep your home well lit and get out often.
