  • Hi Bryan, if you want to try some dish that could be good for your family email me at ejeyc@yahoo.com and i will be happy to share with you some owsome recepi thanks

  • ! so you're playing the mother role?

  • I so want to cook this for my partner. So thank you so much for sharing this with us Jay & Bryan

  • could i add something else than tomato's, because someone in my family can't have tomato's because the doctor told him, what else could i put instead of the tomato's?

  • "my husband" !!! I LOVE hearing a man say that :)

  • TOFU!!!! You can add Tofu:) I never thought about using coconut milk for Curry, I just do my normal Curry.

  • What's with the gay family values at the start??

I JUST WANT TO COOK CURRY!

  • that looks good! i can't eat curry but i would love to try that. the pineapple looks fresh! it'll be delicious. can you make other dishes with exotic fruit like that? i guess it's not that exotic but you know what i mean. how to incorporate fruit into dishes. also can you make pizza?

  • Oh you are so cute. Love your kitchen BTW.

  • I just wanted to add that for people not in the US Garbanzo beans are known as chick peas in other parts of the world :) (it took me a while to work out what you were saying because it isn't something I have ever heard before because they are called chick peas in Australia) I was actually going to suggest that you could make it a chick pea curry to make it vegetarian.

  • First thought when jay said "hey youtube" was omg its Thing.

  • God - you have BIG onions in the USA - see 2.22 this one onion filled a whole bowl! I love the 2 tablespoons of curry instead of 2 teaspoons! That's funny! I tried making it though & it was yummy.

  • what is the name of the amazing song in all the videos begginings?

  • @Lirani87 Humming Bird by Trey Lockerbie

  • Bryan, made your curry dish tonight for my husband and I. We both loved it. You're right. Now we get the added benefit of the curry smell lingering in our house :}

  • Hey bryan, i want you to know this since you're a gay activist and you mentioned shopping these ingredients from safeway, safeway does celebrate gay pride during the month of july, they make it aware to their employees by showing gay educational video in their employee break room. FYI... :) MORE COOKING VIDEOS PLEASE, ONCE A WEEK PLEASE

  • Plz cook more dishes for ur plz

  • I love ur dish Bryan and I also wanna eat it plz love ur family Jay and Bryan bye bye

  • I'm Indian, and we dont really call our dishes "Curry" chicken or "curry" vegetables in india, because instead of dish, we say curry, because we put curry in pretty much everything, LOL XD

  • We can't live without our rice cooker--I no longer know how to cook rice on the stove top

  • Bryan, please make more cooking vids!!! I can't cook at all. Was never taught so I would love to try and start.

  • @Shopaholic112676 we are going to do one about once month :O)

  • @depfox YAY!!!!!

  • Hey there! Nice video! Nice dish! Nice cooking lesson :D ! When will we have another one?

I guess you could try this - which I do in all my meat curries: before cooking your onion, at the very beginning, when your oil (or ghee - clarified butter yum!) is hot, just have your chicken bits fry, get golden, for one minute not more, and take it off the frying pan (on some plate or whatever, no need to keep it warm) to proceed just as you did. It should make a "fond de sauce" even more tasty.

  • Yummy :-)

  • Hey Bryan ,Jay ,Danial and Selena.Greetiings from Scotland ,United Kingdom! Been Watching your videos for a while and ive tried this recipe twice and its really good and the kids loved it ! so thanks for this :)

  • I love your sences of humour 'nobody has died' haha

and i just had to think aw when Bryan said about the onion 'taken the PAPER off' haha :P

  • I love curry... especially thai curry... What kind of beer does bryan drink?

Bryan should be named "Top/Master Drunken Chef"...

    Nice starwars apron..

  • OMGs, YUM! Will have to try this... Also, would love to see more cooking vids, and as a Herbalist and quasi-gardener, some of my fav. combos are: fresh, chopped, dill leaves with tuna for a sandwich; and rosemary cooked with roast beaf (awesome!); one could also make a Turkeyloaf with sage! Thyme also tastes great with any eggy, veggie, or cheese-based dish. Just some SUPER simple ideas to spice things up with herbs!

  • @MacMorrighan Also, I was never taught how to cook, which has always been a sore spot for me; and so I always recommend to all my female friends (and anyone, really) that, if they have sons (especially), to teach them to cook and make sure they're comfy with working with food at a very young age...get 'em involved! :o)

  • Hi... I left a comment a few days ago about suggesting you to try 'Kashmiri Pulao or Pilau" awesome rice dish. Can you make a video of cooking this dish.

  • We're going to s.d,"Jay's gonna flirt with the servemen",aw @ Bryan's face :(

  • This looks so delicious and easy, definitely going to try this out! :D

  • You have a awesome recipe thanks

  • What can I use instead of the coconut milk? :P

  • What brand curry did ya use? :P

  • u guys look and sound like such a nice couple, its a shame how close-minded people are, you both sound like the nicest ppl you can possibly meet.

  • I need to learn to cook. Come teach my Bryan!!

  • i just love u guys so inspirational

and yes i want more cooking videos please

  • so cute!

  • This is great! I would love to see more cooking episodes! :)

  • I'm a terrible cook but I really wanna try this. Bryan should definitely do more cooking videos!

  • @viviorunitia14 you should its really easy to do and taste incredible

  • I have husband too. But I must say this. Bryan is perfectly cute guy!!!! I'm sorry I'm definitely going to hell T-T

  • jpm// hmm. Home life is happiness of living thing sharing. He is just enjoying own happiness. Lovely family? it's just true. We must know just seeing it. In fact Ask is unnecessary. This place just place of boasts their daily lives. no 'prove' place.

    sorry my terrible English~Good luck!

  • I watched your videos and I have to get something of my chest. I think daddy Jay asks too many CLOSED questions... Or is already making answers... example "Do you like having two fathers very very much?" or "we told people your LOVED this dish, do you like it?" What else can the kids say then "yes"? :P asking questions that way gives kinda unpersonal answers. As a viewer you really want to know what they think U2 are really inspiring, Lots of love (hope you dont hate me)
  • @JPMusics I guess the reason the question is asked that way is because I already no the answer....The kids love Bryans curry so the answer isnt a surprise to me...Our video are not thoght out and planned...We decide to make a video and then just make it. If I had to think about every question I asked in a video I wouldnt make videos....As it is our life is so busy YouTube take a large part of time that should go others places...But we understand the importance of these videos...

  • @JPMusics "Do you like having two fathers very very much?" Please tell me what video I made this statement in???

  • @depfox

I already feel bad for commenting.

Please dont see me as an attack :[ (kinda had the feeling this was going to happen though :P)

I just wanted to give feedback. (you can take it positively or negatively).

The concept of the channel is simply amazing.

You asked something like that to your daughter in "Ep.11 The Kids Are Alright" 10.22 you like having 2 dads? 10.33 you feel lucky to have 2 dads?

I mean she doesnt know better/worse.

She has 2 dads and is happy right :P...

  • @JPMusics You don't have to feel bad but the comment was a little like I was some how doign things for a specific answer...Thats not the case...As for the comment about I think i was responding to Selena saying she likes having two dads...But like I said our videos are not made for TV scripted events ans sometimes things comeout that we dont plan. But dont worry I am not mad :O) much love.

  • @depfox

    I 100% understand your story.

And I already knew you wasn't FISHING for the right answers :P

But haters will hate, and stuff like that makes it more easy for them ...

Just hope it will help you or something.

I hope you know that that was the only thing I didnt like about your videos.

    The rest is just amazing.

You two are great dads and any child would be lucky to have you as their parents.

And thanks for being a great example, breaking stereotypes and sharing your stories.

  • Love the apron! I need an apron and I'll do cooking vids wearing only the apron

  • Just stopped by to tell you guys that after being together 10 years and trying to start a family of our own for three years, we are about 24 hours away from flying to Cali for the birth and adoption of our son!!! I have never been so happy and scared shitless in my whole life. Thanks for making your videos. They have been a source of strength for us for a long time!

  • @brentwithani I so want to see pics

  • OMG! Bryan you are simply the nicest, sweetest & dearest person that God graced our planet with! You really are adorable -to both boyz & gals alike.

Geezzz, but I have to admit that your curry would make my Indian neighbours want to throw a fit or 2. HA HA Nevermind them, your methods were close to mine, just different ingredients & only ever Olive or Coconut oil (impossible to find) for me, but as far as I know, all meat is added during FRYING stage - to sear / seer the edges??

    Love you guys!

  • we just love you guys!! the curry looks delicious! mmm

  • Thanks guys! Can't wait to give it a try!

  • Best couple ever!

  • Please make more cooking videos! It's cool how it seems so simple. I also think it just helps to show that you guys are a perfectly normal family.

  • Interesting version of chicken curry.... I'll try adding pineapple to mine.

BTW, I am an Indian and I love Kashmiri Pulav or Kashmiri Pilau. It's really nice, flavroured and a beautiful North Indian dish and I am sure you'll like it (if cooked right!)..... I'd love to watch a video of you guys cooking my favourite dish. Cheers!

  • I don't know why I found this so interesting, but please make some more cooking videos.

  • I can't cook to save my life. xP

  • i love you guys so much.

  • Bryan looks like he lost some weight! Also, looks delicious. The curry I mean. :]

  • 9:10 :D

  • STAR WARS! :D

  • Jay, I cannot believe that you do not like mushrooms. They're the best thing ever!

  • @bumbro07 I love Mushrooms just not in my Curry

  • @depfox Oh ok, you're fine then :P

  • ZMOG I love your apron!!!

  • I love to cook, as well, and this sounds super good! I'm making it for dinner tonight!!

  • Bryan, Have you tried "S&B Golden Curry Sauce Mix"? Comes in a box, usually find it in asian foods in a store. Comes in mild, medium and hot. I usually get frozen veggies, chicken, curry sauce and water. So easy to make. The basmati rice to put the sauce on, is good.

I am sure you could add the seperate items that you use in your dish. Bon Apetit'! Namaste!

  • I like the cooking vids, you guys have good taste! Around here curry is our favorite too, but I make a Thai style green curry. Mr. Man begs for it when the urge strikes, lol. But Indian style with the naan is great too. Looking forward to more of these cooking vids if you two decide to make more.

  • Awesome recipe. I am all for more cooking videos :)

  • Holy Crap!!!!!!! We all need to contact PBS!! Bryan should be their next Julia Child!!!

    Love our Leffews!! :)

  • More cooking episodes!!

  • I CAN'T COOK FOR SHIT!!!!!

I need to learn how to cook but I don't have the patience to be in the kitchen

the microwave is my best friend lol

so beer goes in you bryan..what else goes in you? LOL.....

  • Im making this tonight! And did I mention how sexy Bryan looks in that apron? ; )

  • I can almost smell the Curry, mmmm, now im hungry.

BTW i LOVE the apron!!! 8D

  • Already said this on facebook, but thanks for showing us how to make that delicious meal! :)

  • super yum! you gotta love a man who cooks. very sexy!

i haven't tried cooking curry but i think i'll try it with bryan's recipe.

  • hmm something about coconut milk makes me want to jump in that Curry. (^_^

  • I just finished making and eating this, it was so good! I love curry, and I can't cook, but this was somehow the best curry I've ever had. I changed some stuff, but it was basically the same (I switched chicken with tofu, used fresh tomatos, took out pineapples, and added mushrooms and carrots)!

  • I just noticed Brian said "curry milk and coconut powder" lol. Great recipe n it looks great, I will try it n see how it comes out :)

  • This is two cooking videos from men that I have seen where they drink beer before cooking

  • @GoodwinMary Is there any other way to cook???

  • Love it! I would enjoy more cooking episodes for sure! I'm a poor college student who has no cooking skills and this is awesome :) Thanks guys!

  • Mowe cooking episodes pwease =D!

  • I know what I'm making for dinner. I like the idea of make ahead and let the flavors develope. Hope to see more cooking.

  • Cooking for a family.... loved the video. I would probably leave out pineapple and put the spinach back in or maybe add some cashews. Try All Recipes dot com for simple curry dishes...one of my favorite websites. Also.. try watching Cooking with Dave (aka JayBobEd on UTube). He comes up with some great dishes that are totally simple. My daughter learned how to cook watching him.

  • @NtYourAvgPrncess The kids love the Pineapple

  • Brian looks really cute wearing an apron lol. I'll try cooking that one of these days. Thank you guys!

  • Looks delicious! I always put carrot sand potatoes in my curries - and I usually use beef instead of chicken. I'm surprised to learn that your kids like pineapples! I would imagine kids usually hate fruits and vegetables, haha.

By the way, what's your take on red meat? You mentioned in the video that you guys don't like them?

  • @KetskiCE Selena loves vegies ans fruit...

  • I would LOVE to see more cooking episodes!!! If you like curry you should try mussaman curry! It would probably be perfect the way you made this curry dish, it just has a different curry sauce that's super yummy! Do you guys like Thai food? I bet the kids would love Pad Thai, it's kinda sweet and sour and nutty... Yummo! What's Jay's specialty? Would like to see Jay cook his favorite thing :)

  • I can teach you how to make Naan. i make a killer garlic naan.

  • @artisticskin would love that

  • I was excited until the coconut milk. I'm allergic to coconut. SIGH. Beyond that Yum. Make more, and I wanna see Jay cook too.

  • @artisticskin Hmmm I should google and see what you can put in place of coconut milk

  • @depfox I made curry dish today inspired by you...didn´t have any coconut milk at home so I used creme fraiche and some cream. It was really good. I haven´t had tomato paste with curry before, so thanks for the tip. Love to see more cooking videos. Do the kids like to cook? If they do what is their favorite? My son liked to cook when he was at Daniels age, he wanted to be a chef...and now he works with computers:) But he likes to cook at home...

  • @depfox Through my own google search, since I was curious too, led to evaporated milk. It's a consensus that you can't quite get that authentic curry flavour without the coconut milk though :\

  • HECK YEZ I WANT MORE MORE MORE MORE!!!!!

  • Yay for cooking Bryan!!!!!!!

  • That looks sooooo GOOD!! I wanna try making that sometime. And i would absolutely love to see more of these cooking shows :-) Hope you guys are doing well! and i loved you in the Google comercial! It litteraly made me so happy and full of hope that i cried :-) Love you guys!

  • Love it! Indian food is my favorite, and I make it at home for the family. Do you use basmati rice or another type? Please, Bryan, continue posting your recipes :)

  • That was so much fun to watch! I think it would be a fantastic new thing to do, filming cooking with Bryan. I feel as though we don't see him often enough. He was so on, and funny, lol. AND, I would be remiss not to mention how sexy he is and more so in an apron!

  • Your home is almost as beautiful as your family, Jay! Did you guys decorate it?

  • @danseventyseven UMMM yes we got mad taste ;O)

  • Every one of your videos leaves me admiring your home, as well as your beautiful family. A family home is ridiculously expensive in our city, so we may have to settle for one under the flight-path!

  • guy in kirchen.. sexeh!

  • I put my iPad on my kitchen cupboard and tried to cook with Bryan. My only request is that you drink more in between to give me time to catch up ;) I made it and it was great. Please do more videos but yet please don't because I am now stuck on the treadmill for an hour and a half tomorrow to burn off what I indulged in. Amazing. Thanks.

  • A man cooking, that's SUPERHOOOT!!!!

  • YES MORE COOKING EPISODES!!!!!!!!!!!! Y'all are cute to watch and the food looks all delious =] I'm half filipina and nicaraquan...I WISH I knew how to cook ethnic foods. I actually tried while pregnant and my lumpias came out more like big ole burritos! go figure!

  • great cooking bryan... tofu works great as replacement to chicken...pls keep the cooking videos coming.

  • I've just made it and it's the best curry I've ever eaten! And as you said the whole house smells like curry ;). Now I can't wait for the next recipes!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm so relieved you didn't cook something HIDEOUS from my child-hood like curried eggs (which is definately NOT indian). I'm definately searcing youtube for easy recipes for my life partner & I to make together (anything to get him to spend time with me & not on the internet!). He likes drinking beer while cooking too.

  • My son and I could eat rice ever day, it's so yummy...brown though...we never eat white rice. I think I have everything for this recipe except the coconut milk but I'm grocery shopping tomorrow so this will be dinner! mmmm

I'm voting for more Bryan cooking videos.

  • @frenzycon In curry??? No Way :O)

  • Wow it so cool Bryan please make cooking movie it b good for Bryan, wish you best.

  • Hey I just saw your commercial on TV. Very nice message.

    Hugs

  • @newkillerstardust Thanks We were very lucky to be apart of a great commercial

  • That looks delicious. I think you doing cooking videos is a great idea. It is always nice to get new recipes for things to cook.

  • I would love to see some more cooking episodes, I can always use some ideas. My current fav that I did, was 1lb of ground lean turkey breast, 1can tomato sauce, 1 can diced tomatoes, and whole grain spaghetti. All I did was throw the ground turkey in a pan with some italian spices and herbs and cooked, while doing up the noodles, then threw in the can of tomato sauce and diced tomatoes along with some more herbs to taste, cooked till the noodles where ready then served. family liked it.

  • Can I ask you a question? Are you offended when people use the term gay as dumb or stupid?

  • @ginger2022 I admit I use it a lot. I was just wondering if it offends you.

  • @ginger2022 HMMM I think when people use the term it shows their ignorence...

  • @ginger2022 I always reply that it's "straight" when people say that. I say "gay people aren't that dumb".

  • ha ha love you guys sigh martyservant ps i am bi oops:)

  • TOFU!

  • Cooking with Bryan is cool! Non-Nom! I use chick peas too. You might want to try Sweet potato also. Peel, chop into small cubes and add with the onions.

  • @onyxman8 HMM do the sweer potaoes make the curry sweet?

  • @depfox Not really they just taste good. I know coconut milk is yummy, but I don't use it because it is pretty bad for you cholesterol-wise. Also my hubby is diabetic. :(

  • A-mazaing ! I am from India. I love your videos and I love to cook. That curry looks awesome. I can recommend next time to add some cilantro that gives it a nice flavor. It's very common back in Bombay to add it as a garnish too. Also, try this. marinate your chicken in curry powder+yogurt+few teaspoon of lemon (freshly squeezed)+salt-to taste+ 1 Tps (freshly grated ginger and garlic)-in refrigerator (24 hrs). Pan-heat-shallow fry and Enjoy. It will go very well with beer ! :) <3 peace !

  • @Entertainerinboston Cool will try that next time we make curry

  • I love the star wars apron!

  • Unfortunately I hate curry and the odor that remains for days...so I wont be trying this recipe. However, Id love more cooking episodes! I love to cook and learn new dishes. By the way, your son is the nicest kid, so polite, really endearing, he will grow up to be an amazing guy ! Youre fortunate to have him and your daughter, just love your kids so much !!! More cooking please ! :)

  • Has Bryan lost weight? He looks tall and slim in this video.

  • @jjguy23 LOL I have been making him Run more :O)

  • LOL @ 4:21 , you asked two questions just after Bryan has just given the answers to them, were you kidding or were you not listening?

  • @johnosahon :O( I what did you just ask :O)

  • THAI coconut milk! Yeahhhh....

    More cooking please!

    - love from Thailand.

  • Wow Bryan nice to see you cooking chicken curry, if none of you are allergic to either garlic or ginger, then you should use ginger garlic paste it would add more flavor and taste to your curry. Would love to see more of your cooking. Let me know if you need help with Indian spices

  • I think Bryan should make more cooking videos. The curry looks really good. Also, I know Jay did a cooking video a while back and maybe you should do some more cooking videos as well, Jay. It would be fun to see you cook together. Have fun in San Diego!

  • I tried not to be. I really did. But I'm slightly horrified by your curry cooking technique.

  • OMG! i was soooo into the video that when byran said "enjoy" I actually looked down as if i had a plate with me, i feel so slow, I'm tomato red as i write this LOL.

  • I would watch more cooking episodes! :) Just found your videos the other day, love them - what a great family you are!

    xo

  • Looks tasty guys. Want to see more. I've worked on my Lasagna recipe for years but have recently been introduced to Indian cooking and you are totally right on two points. The first is that curry tastes better the second day and the second is that beer is an important ingredient. :-) Would love to see more!!

  • 3:40

To my knowledge, peanut oil has one of the highest temperatures at which it burns. You should try using that.

  • LOVE the star wars apron! I want one!

  • If anyone ever breaks into your house, and takes that star-wars apron, I SWEAR it wasn't me....that thing is awesome. Where did you get it?
