  • NISSAN CORP. DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THERE PRODUCT. Bought a 2009 Maxima, brand new it pulled to the RIGHT SO BAD if I let go of the stearing wheel it pulled across 3 lanes of trafic In less then 5 Sec. Brought this to Nissan Corp. atten. they said it met there " Plans & Specifications" Moral of the story: Driving the car one day & hit a grove in the road The car PULLED INTO A BRICK WALL! I've owned more then 5 Nissan's in the past & Nissan lost my Biz NISSAN DOESNT CARE ABOUT OUR SAFETY

  • make it rwd or awd

  • Nissan tends to make sexy cars but never seem to satisfy other important factors like the suspension and handling.

  • How do you shift with paddle shifters if the nissan doesn't even have any gears?

  • @jdubdoubleu when you put the car in manual transmission, it comes cvt and manual (like most cars do now)

  • Look like R34GTR

  • one word UGLY

  • does it have RWD?

  • cvt + front wheel drive = no sports car

  • he said that it rolls around to much.... they should have got the SPORT package!

  • wuts wit the east indian soundtrack ruins the car review

  • stupid assfuck youe mama so fat she can't even fit in that car

  • Between the 2010 Altima (V6) and the Maxima, you should definitely go for the Altima since you're getting almost the same but for less money (and different looks). With that said, if you can find a Maxima for a good price, get it. I got the 2004 Maxima for $8000 Canadian a while back and I love it.

  • @iSOBigD I just spent a lil under 2 grand on my 07 altima 3.5 and Im nor pushing just a cunt hair over 300. I need to dyno tho. Power to the wheels is gunna be in the 280s. Still pretty fucking good. I got mine for 18,500. 36,679 miles.

  • @Stevenhiggles Cool. My budget was under 10k so I couldn't get a newer Altima and I found the older models a bit ugly (just like the 2003 Maxima is ugly), but they're definitely nice cars and although I love the Maxima, I wouldn't buy it if I had to buy a new car. I tend to buy things that are great For The Price.

  • @iSOBigD Yea that does sound like a good buy. I was 19 when I got the car (20 now) but I had to start my credit someway you know. Plus my mom told me a HUGE lie that banks doesnt give out loans to cars under 2006 cause of possible problems. I coulda had a 2001 Trans Am with 26k miles for 12k :'O

  • @Stevenhiggles Yeah, I'm not sure where you're from but banks tend to give out loans for almost anything, especially cars, school and houses, provided you hold a job to have a stable income and pay it back. (Unless you're in some parts of the US where they give out 400k loans to unemployed people!)

  • CVR is faster than manual, no matter how good your timing is. It's also easier to drive an automatic than a cheapo manual car. It's really not something to complain about - I really wish some people came out of the stone age, manual cars are more and more rare for a reason, there's no advantage to them.

  • i dont want to say it is a bad car, but when ur spending $29k+ you should really get more. its big bro the infiniti is almost the same price but its a whole heck better

  • @skbuoy Which Infiniti? G37?

  • @iSOBigD yes the g37. i believe its the best infiniti model

  • @skbuoy Yeah it's a nice car, I like it. It's what I'd get if I wanted a more luxury car at a more realistic price.

  • Typical jap junk

  • wats with the arab music for a jap car?

  • holly twatts those headlights are UGLY

  • @PRINCEofPECICA Ugly? Are you on crack or just blind?

  • @SupaDupaSkata The headlights a really stylish and make the car stick out on the road in a good way.

  • The Nissan Maxima is a great car. The future will see Nissan advance in engineering and technology.

  • i saw the lobster claw ....i also saw a fag in front of it!!!!

  • Horrible review, I own the 2010 Nissan Maxima Sport SV edition. No complaints and a lot of power

  • very nice car but one thing drinks to much gas!!

  • I'm a Nissan fan and I've driven a Maxima for years but they have an identity crisis with the newest incarnation of the Max. The styling is fine and the car looks great, but if you're going to call it a 4-door sports sedan it has two BIG problems: 1) front wheel drive, and 2) the CVT tranny. Ironically, Nissan hasn't yet put CVTs in its luxury division Infiniti brand cars, where it really belongs. Maxima should offer a 6-speed trans OR manny-tranny AND all wheel drive. That would rock!!!

  • indian music??

  • This was one of the worst car reviews I have ever seen. Who is this guy..?? The maxima is a great car. Not the best, but it's pretty great. This guy obviously hates it.

  • you are sbaykah h3 h3

  • just saw one the other day. girls with me liked it.

  • I'm 6'8" and this is one of the only cars I can actually fit in comfortably, I currently have a truck, but if I ever get a car this will be it.

  • @Jeffo168 see this car is for big people (ie Americans)

  • I think the 2009 should have been RWD instead of FWD

  • when this guy says it got heavier and pudgier i hope hes talking abt the 6th gen... the 5th gen was the pinnacle of engineering for the max esp in 2002-3. the figures for the 6-speed say it goes 0-60 in 6.1 secs. it had the most sensible control layout, best power-weight ratio, a stylish but discreet design and since then it still gets the best gas mileage. new one looks sharp but i dont think its quite the real 4DSC we all know.

  • Things Fugly!

  • i would do very very bad things for this car!

  • shitty looking car

  • Whoa!! I cant believe these guys are playing some Punjabi music in the backround. For the people who don't know what Punjabi is,it is a North Indian language.

  • @SahijApple93 ya i noticed that too

    i was like... whaaaaaattttt!!!!

made me like the car more lol

  • @kalandhugga ME TOO!!

  • 2:09 When the car is very far, looks like an Accord XD

  • the front of this car looks so cool

  • the 2010 model goes 0-60 in 6.2 sec.

  • and my advice to you guys. show the interior of the car to us, show us the rear, show us the mpg ratings, show us the price ranges. and show us everything else. what a horrible review information wise

  • hot car, =]

  • hey , why don't u guys go buy a ford and spend your life eating burgers , i have a nissan maxima 2010 it's a hot car , ur mama was with me last night lol and she loved it lol

  • 4DSC for Life. 1992 SE

  • My bro has got a 94' and your right it is amazing. He mainly has it breathing good with y-pipe and staight throught exhaust. As well as a cold air intake. The noises that car makes are as close as you can get to a Ferrari for the price. "4DSC for life is correct indeed"

  • Nissan is killing itself with giving the Maxima a CVT transmission. For another $2,000-$3000 one could easily buy a slightly used G35 AWD sedan. On the other side of the price spectrum one could purchase a Altima saving thousands less...My advice to Nissan is: increase the horsepower to at least the same of the current "Z", offer AWD as a option, and make it less expensive than a Infiniti G3&...Then the Maxima will become reborn.

  • cant agree more w/ you . on top of that...

u missed something in your advice, that is they should take out the stupid CVT.

this is another fail ... GTR insted of "Sky-Line" .. and now this! , a lame , boring , and a hig rev sound CVT for the Maxima! OMG

  • I agree with you two. also its way to big. {think its in the full size class now} I rented an 06 a few yrs back and wasn't impressed{V6 Camry has more power.lol}. wish I whould've keep my 92. way better then the Maximas that came after it.

  • thanks for sharing your opinion.

  • Does the Altima V6 have 5 or 6 speed manual transmission option?

  • Yes, but the 2010 will only have a CVT like the Maxima.

So if you want an new Altima with a V-6 and manual, rush quickly to Nissan for an 09 on the lot. They're hard enough to find as it is.

  • dude u can prolly stick last year's model's tranny inside.

  • @thedayyouth

It's not as easy as it sounds.

  • dude. all u need is a new clutch to handle the extra power and some fabrication. generally japanese cars swap parts reletively easily

  • @thedayyouth

You haven't worked on a modern Japanese car have you? I'm not saying that to be rude, just saying it as a fact.

  • i knw right, american cars have always been easier.

  • @TheNewMrCool

you are right. The electronics in them are so complicated these days... Especially Nissan.

  • @thedayyouth

    TheNewMrCool is right.

No offense, but Nissan electronics are so complicated the days that you will still have trouble and bugs to smooth out even if you were to do an engine replacement(same engine). let alone trying to replace the cvt with different type of transmission.

This is no 240sx that you mess around with in your garage.

again not trying to be rude =)

  • pre 2008 is 5 but from the 2008 model its 6

  • The Chevy Aveo is Korean anyway.

  • so i am jealous of what? stupid cars that never stop from breaking down, (not saying all american cars break down but most of them do) but what i totally hate about american cars, is the friggin interior, its either looks bad, or has a very bad quality, i am so angery that my country just cant make a car that can beat the japanese and the germans, i swear if we have a good cars like they do i wouldnt buy G37

  • american cars just SUCK!

  • lol your comment about reliable cars is a joke. being a mechanic for over 15 years, will clearly show anyone that there are no reliable cars. they will ALL break down one way or another. some companys are known for long lasting motors or good chassis. but something will always go wrong if there is anything mechanical involved

  • lmao obviously most of the cars will die by that time, but why would you keep a car for that long? i usually change mine every 4-5 years MAXIMUM!

  • People can complain about this car as much as they want, but for a FWD Sedan in its class, I dont think the Maxima has much competition in overall performance/looks/features.

  • One bad thing about maxima is its tendency to look terrible with time, I mean, see those old modesls, they suck. You never see an old bmw mercedes or audi loosing soo much style with time. I like a lot this new one and i hope its design can trascend time.

  • i own a 2000 max, no doubt i'll go for this after 5 years or so

  • Nissan rocks.....i like this car....i think i will buy it...

  • like the music

  • 40 grand taurus,mmmkay not

  • WTF ur comparein a nissan maxima to a chevy nd ford LMFAO!

  • Nissan Maxima ROCKS \m/\m/\m/ --- SO S.T.F.U myridevideos

  • ya both no bad but i was impressed with buick...they must have hired someone younger then 60 in the design team..all they need to do is start making their cars more reliable.

  • ya its not bad....better then the shit gm pumps out...

  • its more heavy? not fun to drive?!

fuck off jerk nissan maxima 2000 se rocks!

heavy the tits of your mamma

  • @rodrigoramrz ugly maxima, heavy and non sporty, get a Genesis coupe instead.

  • Shame tough, it doesnt have the great lines of the old one.

I'd have to agree with palebeachbum.

The old one had a kind of sleek look to it that this one clearly doesnt have.

Fuck the windtunnels man, cars are starting to look alike more and more.

  • Drove a 2009 Nissan Maxima courtesy car and I'm dissapointed, partly because of the CVT. Whiles it's very fast it doesnt feel nippy off the line because of that tranny so theres no real sport feeling. Put in some extra money and go for the G35/G37 as it has a proper selection of transmissions and refinement. I used to own a 2000 maxima and I'm dissapointed to see what they've become.

  • 2008 Maxima looks so much better, The best performing Max was 2002. It had the same engine with lighter body. 09 is more of infinity then maxima.

  • Comment removed

  • This is my favorite Sedan out right now, import or otherwise.

  • main reason why this car got bigger... Americans got FATTER...

  • @ryondface lol , right, and the reason it doesn't have a manual trans, is because Americans got lazier

  • @ryondface Im going have to agree with your comment. No offense, but the Maxima has been deisgned specially for the American market, so it has been designed to meet customer wants and needs which is space for increased size.

  • @ryondface and here at canada people r losing weiht by saying eheheheheheheheheheheheeh

  • @mariohead101 keep your Canadian comments to yourself.....

  • Funny this guy should mention the Maxima getting bigger, heavier, and pudgier with every redesign. This new Maxima is the biggest, heaviest, pudgiest Maxima yet. And it looks it.

  • Have driven Nissans since 98, no problems. Also have a Saturn Vue, no problems. At one time domestic may have meant crap, but not these days. Almost got a 2010 Maxima, got a 2009 Murano instead. Sweet.

  • domestic cars are crap, its one reason why then went under...i would never buy a car from a company that is bankrupt..

  • has a essence of a 370z

  • ياااااااااا لبى المكسيما

  • everyone talks about thirty grand like its a shit load of money. i went for the 08 Z, around thirty, and when you compare apples to apples, thirty is a good price for these cars(Z and G35). you can spend almost thirty on a new civic or accord... compared to both these cars, nissan wins hands down for bang for your buck...

  • Why are you comparing Chrysler to Nissan? The whole Detroit fiasco was more than just a financial issue, it was a quality and performance issue. Chrysler might make a good looking 300, but at the end of the day, its still a Chrysler. Nissan has ALWAYS built quality and performance into ONE car. The draw back its the CVT transmission. You guys do realize the Altima, Maxima, and Z have the same engine, right? New Maxes might win in top speed, but older Maxes have better acceleration(manual trans).

  • Oh and Wezzy is overrated he raps a bunch of BS

  • I got the SV Premium and to me its worth it. The only real drawbacks are the FWD and CVT. If your just trying to just race it then you shouldnt get it,its fast but its not a car for tuning. But if you want to get to point a to point b fast, comfortable, and looking good then this is a very nice car. And it has some pretty good features and you can always talk down the price especially in this car market.

  • As far as the 300 is better than the 09 maxima talk im going to have to disagree. Ive owned a 2006 300 and it was ok but I can honestly say that it was NOT comfortable, atleast not as comfortable as the maxima. I traded in my 300 for the new maxima and its lightyears better than the 300. All you 300 lovers seem to care about is that its a wannabe bently...sorry the maxima is better. =)

  • so is its really worth the 30,000 dollas dat dey ask 4, 1 of those u tell me man cause in my opinion i kind of think dat it does but what about u...... how much u get 4 an which one u got the sporty on or the premium

  • Comment removed

  • lobster claws? what a DOUCHEBAG

  • the CVT trans is a waste, if it's a cary over from the Altima ..then it's a Fail big time.

on the D mode , the more you hit the gas the more you get the Rev sound in your head!. u wont feel/hear gears..it's just lame Monotonic sound.

  • I have to agree, it's more suitable for big luxury cars, it's not suitable for a sporty sedan like this one.

  • thanks,

    respect...

  • so u saying the car aint worth it then cause the price on thses mtfuckers is over 30.000 dollers man....

  • This guy has no idea of what is he talking about!

The Maxima is one of the most exiting cars for 2009.

  • What is the song that starts to play in the background at 2:10 until the end of the video?

  • looking to sell a 04 maxima with injen intake , catback exhaust, new tires, new tint, and 2 12inch sub woofers with a power cap and 1000 watt amp... 13,250$

  • nice...now with the money you make selling that pile of shit you can buy a real car.

  • This car was made for people who desire the luxury of a BMW, Infiniti ,Mercedes or Lexus but cant really afford one, whether it be maintenance cost or Sticker price. Aspiration is always good to have i guess..

  • It looks quite similar to nissan teana. Only Maxima is the sporty version while teana is more of the luxury sedan.

  • It looks like a cross between the 370Z and the G37. It has a great look to it, classy, sporty but not subtle enough. Im sure the interior is of course top notch as well as the engine.

  • Chrysler 300 > Nissan Maxima

  • VW CC < Maxima < Camry SE V6Malibu < Cobalt SS< 300C. ahaha

  • are you motherfucking kidding me?!?!?!?!

the maxima is TONS better looking than the 300 for starters plus the maxima is a lot better built, more reliable and overall a LOT better

for proof why chrysler sucks, look at the channel dodgechryslersucks

  • Typical response from a Nissanfanboy.

  • i am not a fucking nissan fan boy you idiot

i don't even like most of their cars

it is amazing how deluded some people (like you) are to think that something like a 300 is better than something like a maxima

  • a 300 is a better car than a maxima. no doubt in my mind. Better ride, comfort, features, etc. the list goes on. RWD alone makes it more of a drivers car. Care to continue NIGGER? Or have you learned your lesson?

  • roflmao you are wrong on every single one of those points. and don't be racist dipstick

the maxima has a much better interior, looks a lot more dynamic (the 300 looks like a gayass grandma's car)

the maxima is more reliable and better built

  • yawn, you fail yourself

i have been inside a leather interior altima (which imo isn't as good as the maxima) and trust me, i liked it. plus i've seen the maxima in real life and i liked it instantly. chrysler has horridly terrible interiors - the avenger, caliber and pt cruiser have simply revolting interiors

the 300 has a crappy interior as well

i am not going to argue with you anymore because you are simply too stupid

    fuck off pos

  • th3ha1og0d, I've never seen someone so into substandard vehicles, it's a Chrysler and trust me you won't go very far before shit starts falling apart in your 300. I owned an SRT8 and it was a big POS. I've owned other new Chrysler vehicles and used to be brainwashed like you and thought they were great until you really start to drive them for some time and watch things fall apart before your eyes unlike the Nissan. I'm not a Nissan fan either, I drive Ford and GM.

  • th3ha1og0d, are you out of your fuckin' mind calling people the N word, first the dudes not even black, can you see his screen name unless you believe he is a black russian or something. Just completely uncalled for. Typical immature, know nothing Chrysler nutswinger.

  • AMEN man!

  • The Maxima's interior is very cutting edge, not a played out, keeping it safe design from years back, it's for people that want a sporty cockpit type interior, not a boring grandma and grandpa type interior, some played out design from years back.

The Maxima is FAR better built and although I'm not a Nissan fan myself I have a family member with a couple and they have head up really well and when they did have warrant issues, WERE TAKEN CARE OF UNLIKE CHRYSLER whenever possible.

  • My Chrysler 300 is a well built, DOMESTIC sedan. I wouldn't dream of driving a Nissan. It eclipses the new Maxima in every way.

  • The Chrysler 300 is a TANK though

  • Wy would anyone buy any Chrysler again. It has better quality than what, a Sentra? It has Mercedes parts, Daimler dropped Chrysler over a year ago. I won't bother even saying anything more because it's pretty obvious which one is even better. These cars won't even be cross shopped, whoever buys Nissan and Infiniti aren't even glancing at Chrysler, honestly.

  • th3ha1og0d, are you out of your fuckin' mind? are you in some kind of alternate reality? The 300 (LX Platform) uses a Mercedes chassis, suspension and tranny because they had to takeover because the LH Platform it replaced was so terrible, engine, tranny, suspension, electrical everything Mercedes had to take control so they wouldn't be a "complete" disaster but they are still known to burst into flames, premature suspension, tranny and engine issues!

  • It's a Mercedes derived suspension, that's it. My car uses the 42RLE which is a Chrysler transmission, and the engine is a Chrysler one as well. DO NOT MAKE COMMENTS IN AREAS WHERE YOU ARE CLEARLY IGNORANT.

  • I got an 87 maxima, its bout time for an upgrade

  • That back end reminds me of my dog draggin his across the lawn.

  • They totally forgot about the wireless key and the start button engine and that's what i like and wireless locks too and automatic 3 holds on the open key makes the windows come down. Our family has one and it's great but not on the top line.

  • This car looks really angry, pissed off, and i like it! Its almost scary

  • Car looks girly, and angry, also ugly.

  • Guess you haven't driven one in person, more maxima for me thanks

  • don't all VQ35's sound that way?

  • muhuhhahhhaa awesome

  • maxima is a fail as a sports car

  • Yeah those headlights were from the 370z

  • actually the 370Z's headlights were from the maxima.

  • the new maxima looks great, but c'mon!!! A cvt automatic transmission and front wheel drive only!!! It must drive REAL nice because lets face it, cvt automatic fwd does not sound very "sports sedan" ish!

  • we might get one soon :D

  • 1st gen maximas were st8 6 rwd

I have 2 maximas, 1991 se 5spd and 2003 se 6spd titanium pkg, both some of the best cars ever!

  • Acura TL????

  • i like the music tho

  • i love maximas, my family had 2 6th gen maximas and them things were a blast to drive, they were fast, handled farily well, and the ride was smooth. i'd love to own another one possibly this new one, i just wish nissan would either ditch the cvt or offer a 6M tranny, and i wish they would either make it rwd or have an awd option.

  • The maxima has never been a rear wheel driver. Maybe in the 80s I don't know. I think the 2002 maxima with the 3.5 was the best one made. Only 3200 lbs with 255 hp and a real manual 6-speed. I saw one with an intake and throttle body spacer that took down a G35 sedan. Just Great!

  • That's the maxima we have, it's the GLE model, it's pretty nice for an 03 car.

  • can you guys do me a big favor and tell me if are maximas all FWD, because im pretty sure i saw an older model the other day that was RWD

  • its FWD now

  • yeah, has been for a while

  • I'd be happy to put that engine in my '98 Maxima, and add the paddle shifters as well. lol

  • great for tall people. im 6"3 and i can stretch my legs all the way to the gas/brake pedals.

  • seriously, has ANY car reviewer gotten to drive the 09 Maxima SV-Sport? supposedly after the end of the SE suspension tuning in 03, they stopped doing it altogether for 04-08. for 09-10 there is supposed to be a "Sport Tuned Suspension" package that is an add-on for the top-level SV trim. from the looks of things, no road-test editor has gotten one.

  • they actually stopped the sport suspension for the 6th Gens??!!!???

  • indian music wtf

  • no way this ugly and slow, check out the 2002 maxima platium edition thats the best maxima yet, with nismo tuned trany..

  • Love the Eastern Music in the background.

  • ugly

  • Well I've got to say, this is the best looking Maxima yet.

  • lol much typo

  • The older models didnt have as much power as this one. and the other ones looked good, but this looks better

  • Lol, Fail @ 1:46.

He jesters at the ROOF but calls it the HOOD LINE?!?!?!

  • Just beautiful!

  • true I had a 300zx and now a 2008 altima sedan and nissan's are great cars!!!!

  • Man Iam all about american pride eco whatever.. I just came back from a trip and rented this car and let me tell you. I agree with some of
