  • Thanks for posting! :)

  • A few relatives of mine got a Kindle Fire, so far they really enjoy it. It's simple, doesn't cost that much and great battery life, plus you'll have enough money left over to buy more apps, music, or books.

  • great, you provide great content for youtube, my year just got better, perhaps you could make a video on your thoughts of the AMD bulldozers architecture, everyone seems to hate them but I love my 8 core, a lot better then my quad core and I paid the same price for both when they first came out, so I have no regrets.

  • about time.. I like the Kindle Fire as well. Cheap and does exactly what a tablet is suppose to do.

  • I definitely haven't forgot about the desktop. I'm still compiling my Linux kernels lmfao! Welcome back and happy new year.

  • good see you back happy new year 2 you

  • What were your issues with the iPhone? I recently switched from Android to the iPhone and I'm loving it!

  • As usual I agree 100%; However, it would be difficult for me to ditch the iPhone.

As far as the iPad is concerned, I had a first-generation back in 2010 and after the newness wore off, it did nothing more than sit on my desk and collect dust. To me, the tablet seems to be a backward evolutionary step.

  • @MarcBookPro I am always surprised when I hear about iPads collecting dust. I've had my iPad 2 since it first shipped and it is the primary means by which I access the news, blogs, Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube. I could just grab my laptop to do those things, but with an iPad I feel less invested in the task. i.e. the iPad is easier to pick up and put aside. Yes, the iPad seems like a step backward, but that's only if you don't factor in human psychology. I dunno, maybe I'm not the norm :)

  • Ya happy new year. I know you pro desktop. But honestly given that in the next 18 months mobile will get as power full as some desktops are today, I am almost thinking the only way to go forward is fusion augmentation, or hive computing. But the industry seems to be rejecting that approach. I think the client/server, slave/master device is a dead wrong approach.

  • @TheShowThatSUX when mobile gets as powerful as desktop it wont be mobile simple computing anymore, that was what my point was.

  • @mrbit10 i would like to hear your opinion on the latest version of android that's on the Galaxy Nexus. I really haven't tried webos but i haven't seen a phone with it on it, at least in Verizon anyway but would really like to try it out.

  • Happy new year Bit, hope you had great holidays with family!

  • Nice phone i had it a while go. I now have galaxy nexus it's a nice phone.

  • what is your opinion on the galaxy note?

  • Happy new year MrBit & enjoy your new Playbook & Palm Pre :-)

iPhone 4s next on my tech list after my Yamaha CLP470.

Much as it has developed impressively, I agree I don't think the tablet will replace the desktop / laptop any time soon.

  • I'm more of a cognac person...lol

  • web is still alive:-)

  • I love your videos mrbit10. I hope you had a great start to new year!

  • Look forward to the windows 8 metro UI, stuff. I've had a look at the new structure of the apis for development in win8, man its starting to look like a bit of cluster fuck with xaml, winrt as well as .net and the possibility of still being able to use the legacy win32/com stuff. I can see why ms is doing it, but it just seems so in between unfortunately.

  • happy new year !

  • What does your wife think of her iPhone ?

  • you need to get a Pre 3

  • "maybe if I've had a scotch" lol

  • and somebody needs some more moxie I think lol.

  • @darkone778 thanks bro, a vid on Moxie is coming! :)

  • @mrbit10 good luck trying to explain what it tastes like lol
