Protest against the maglev trains is just unreasonable. I've been on the maglev trains in Shanghai last year and I thought it was brilliant. The new extension would take thousands of polluting cars off the roads, now how is that going to "deteriorate the air quality"? Maglev trains themselves produce no CO2 emissions at all, and are the one of the most environmentally friendly modes of transport ever. Although it might be loud, the numerous jam-packed highways in Shanghai are louder.

I did not say there were not protests, but there are often repercussions to these behaviors that are not shown in a YouTube video. Things are done in retribution to the protestors, some may disappear forever and be put away in underground facilities and tortured to only eventually have their organs harvested. The CCP would never do that on camera for YouTube to show!

Poverty does not make a gov. more powerful. Most governments that fall are those in poverty-striken countries, and the CCP has done many things to lift 300million out of poverty in the past 3 decades(that's agreed by everyone). If u're not convinced, maybe find out more from the chinese, or read more chinese news abt the protests happening in china. (they're almost happening daily, mostly unreported, in rural areas)

We really hope the government will be more open in politics, but its really changed fast these years.
