@duquetteroxx the midi question isn't about the hardware, it's the software. serato n traktor do not show the faders on the screen, however if you were to use serato itch w the bridge software, and you have the ttm-57 or 58, it will record your fader movements in ableton live. the question in wondering is why do you want a display of the faders on the screen?
do you also see, that he cut cut's (2:30)? thats no "skill". ok, it sounds incredible but its nothing special to use finish cuts and cut them. i think he is good, but he use the wrong hardware.
I respect Dj I-DEE's Turntablist Skills. He makes the NS-7 Look Real good with his background using Technics 1200's originally. He basically applied what he knew as a Vinyl Battle DJ and applied it using the NS-7. The easy parts for him was cueing and set points. Thats where u see him pressing all the buttons.
Id personally Prefer my Technics 1200's any day, for the real deal battling. But I must admit this was pretty kool to see an NS-7 doing simulating an artform made decades ago. Real Kool
I need to know if the NS7 crossfader is midi. (ie: the dj application shows the position and movements of the crossfader on the screen) I bought a MixDeck because the salesperson told me that it WAS a midi crossfader, but it turns out that was wrong.
you people are all dumb fucks. That scratching is part of the song. Its not a pre recorded track. All you bedroom djs need to learn ur shit and stop criticizing someone who is a dmc champion. Fucking retards.

@corfox011 you dont need no expensive equipment to be a great dj... as long as you know what your doing thats all that matters and if it sounds good then good but you dont need to be flaming on numark and say there shit.... hav u had any experience with numark products..
@jammedfinga first i have used numark mixers they break easy the fader fucks up they are cheeply made i no people who had them aswell and they fucked up fast i rather buy a proper mixer that cost more that can do more stuff than a numark mixer and can last longer and looks stronger numark looks like a toy.......so yeah pioneer and alien and health the best ....i aint no fan boy just saying.........

@corfox011 - Wrong. I've seen the NS7 used not only in clubs, but at festivals as well. Everyone is going the digital route now. Hell, even those using CDJ-1000s and 2000s are using Serato setups in clubs because people are tired of lugging around CDs and vinyls.

@ITGLink of course you would see Denon in clubs but no one would use a ns7 in a big club no way so the club u saw them using ns7 in would be a shitty club thats a fact
So the NS7 has a rotating motor...1200, same....most dj's use a laptop and program to take a signal from said unit and power the mp3's same...still have to be talented...same...the argument is moot. I used 1200's forever and guess what...i switched to an NS7, best thing ever...no more heavy carrying, no more bent, broken or scratched records, buying needles here and there wasting more money, etc...I know hundreds of the shittiest dj's on earth and they use technics...so it doesn't make um better
First of all, all of you bedroom DJs need to stop criticizing every little part of this routine... the routine was good. Secondly, stop with all this "real DJs use vinyl" elitist bulls**t. If you don't embrace new technology then it's time to hang up your headphones you f**king dinosaurs! Name one big name DJ still using strictly vinyl... ONE!
well any idiot that states DIGITAL TABLES SHOULD BE IN ANY BATTLE??? aint a real dj!!!!!!!!! only some punkass emo techno cyber bitch who couldnt do anything on real vinyl in first place!! @ozulu45 he is doing one click - two click orbits, transformers, crabs, drags, drops, and scribbles....thats skill, real vinyl is beautiful and better than midi controllers..but not "any idiot" can do what he did on digital tables...DT's only help in beatlocking and giving you cues, DT's DONT help in scratching, they dont help in what song you wanna play next and they damn sure don't help with creativity each Dj brings to the tables, Dj Jazzy Jeff use's serato, does that make him a fake dj? nope
@TheSolChild i agree but midis are used for djn not for this i think he used it more for clicks than he did for scratch some guys are good with this scratchn all i do is njoy and dance if posible ......

i love when people say numark suck when they have always been the leader of the industry and pioneer mimicked there CDJ's after numarks ideas then made them with all plastic oppose to real metal like Numark products.
A few nodding heads, but no-one really going crazy and waving their hands despite the popular tunes being played... I think if you put JFB in front of that NS7, you'd've got a better crowd reaction... meh, just my opinion.
First half great, from rage on...a lil over kill. I love how everyone talks so much shit but they don't realize who was in the DMC Championship and who is just watching it on youtube. lol fuck them, keep up the good work!
its all about the dj... a good dj can make any product he/she uses whether it be a controller or tables and make their mix sound amazing... although in a battle or competition i believe in only using vinyl... but yea for an exhibition use watever works... the ns7 is great for mobile djs like myself.. jus plug and play...
I love the NS7. But the question is, when will every snobby CDJ club in the world start letting us use controllers? We're all just playing music. Vinyl, CDJs, and controllers all have the same outcome! I'm also a drummer, and I've never seen another drummer be turned away from playing a club because of the kind of kit he plays...and we're actually making our own music, not playing someone else's.
I like DJ I-DEE but I don't think he did any justice with this NS7, its a Superb Equipment. His body language was just office. His got some killer routines, this performance was awful! For someone that was getting paid to showcase, he looked like he didn't want to!
You can push buttons all day long, U still need skillz... its not just pushing play, I have technics and love em.. ive tried the ns7 out and its dope..
this is what dmc has come too????? dmc lost all my respect for them for allowing any digital manipulation equipment touch the stage...what ever happen to showing your skillz with real vinyls??? i can push buttons too.... smh
@NumarkVideo Completely agree.@PravoslavaCccc don't knock it till you try it. "TECHNICS", as you put them, may have an edge in areas for you and many others(myself included) BUT the thin line between analogue and digital is fading so unless you know for sure quit hating and enjoy the music...as for me i can say that the ns7 feels awesome and its WAY easier to move with. This is one great machine NUMARK.
@NumarkVideo ive tried both and honestly id rather use a pair of technics or pioneer cdj's im ok with vinyl and CD i think theyre both good if you know what you are doing :) just my opinion
I've used Technic 1200's for 14 years and Serato Scratch Live for the last 5 years. What do you think the learning curve would be for me if I got this system. I have to put least stress as possible on my bad back for mobile gigs so thats why Im interested in this
Anyone who says badly about your set or the NS7 is living in the past. Sort of reminds me when people talk trash about import cars versus American muscle cars... I've had both classic muscle cars, and import cars (not riced out though) and both vinyl and the NS7... they all serve a purpose! Maybe a weird comparison, but new technology with this much accuracy and coolness to it... it's not meant to insult or replace vinyl... it's just a fat digital rig, nothing more!
Numark has stepped up their game with the NS7 - finally proving that they are a force to be reckoned with. My home setup includes Technics SL-1200M3D turntables, Vestax 05 proIII modified with InnoFader crossfaders, MacBook Pro and Serato Scratch LIVE. With that said, I can honestly switch from my home setup to the Numark NS7 and barely tell the difference. I think the NS7 is a remarkable piece of equipment. I am currently saving up to buy an NS7 for my girl who's learning to mix, cut and juggle
wow i just noticed when from the beginning you skip later in the video when it does that spinny thing to show you when its loading you press the up, down, left ,right arrow quickly you randomnly start playing a snake game while the video is playing
When you upload your vid from DMC Championships, then you can compare and talk all the smack you want!
Bitching about new technology and how old ways were better is like bitching about pro sports and how in the old days people played for the love of the game, not money... and how sports were better in the old days with out supplements and steroids.
@Djarcdegree it's not difficult to make the songs fit together, it's difficult to choose the right songs and make the crowd cheering!! so if you CAN dj or not is a matter of talent and skills, not of equipment!!
(hope you could understand my english, because i'm german)
Listen. When someone like I-Dee says these are legit then these are legit. End of story. Know why? Because this guy can make you look like a bitch on real wax, on CDs, on whatever. If not put up your videos and we'll see.

If anyone who reads this could press the "Thumbs up" so other people will see it
Just a simple button press could make my dream come true :) ThankYou

A few nodding heads, but no-one really going crazy and waving their hands despite the popular tunes being played... I think if you put JFB in front of that NS7, you'd've got a better crowd reaction... meh, just my opinion.
bippo101 10 months ago
First half great, from rage on...a lil over kill. I love how everyone talks so much shit but they don't realize who was in the DMC Championship and who is just watching it on youtube. lol fuck them, keep up the good work!
DirtyRuz 10 months ago
its all about the dj... a good dj can make any product he/she uses whether it be a controller or tables and make their mix sound amazing... although in a battle or competition i believe in only using vinyl... but yea for an exhibition use watever works... the ns7 is great for mobile djs like myself.. jus plug and play...
purdman8 10 months ago
Shitty shitty product , dope dj though as I've seen him before..... Technics 1210 please !!

You can push buttons all day long, U still need skillz... its not just pushing play, I have technics and love em.. ive tried the ns7 out and its dope..
hozae83 11 months ago
this is what dmc has come too????? dmc lost all my respect for them for allowing any digital manipulation equipment touch the stage...what ever happen to showing your skillz with real vinyls??? i can push buttons too.... smh

@NumarkVideo Tell him again. A proud NS7 owner. These dudes don't know what they're missing......
djundadawg 8 months ago
@NumarkVideo Completely agree.@PravoslavaCccc don't knock it till you try it. "TECHNICS", as you put them, may have an edge in areas for you and many others(myself included) BUT the thin line between analogue and digital is fading so unless you know for sure quit hating and enjoy the music...as for me i can say that the ns7 feels awesome and its WAY easier to move with. This is one great machine NUMARK.
QuadAceakaTiger 8 months ago
@NumarkVideo ive tried both and honestly id rather use a pair of technics or pioneer cdj's im ok with vinyl and CD i think theyre both good if you know what you are doing :) just my opinion

Nice set dude!

46 dislikes = 46 HATERS
When you upload your vid from DMC Championships, then you can compare and talk all the smack you want!
Bitching about new technology and how old ways were better is like bitching about pro sports and how in the old days people played for the love of the game, not money... and how sports were better in the old days with out supplements and steroids.
I will agree - crowd was weak.

@Djarcdegree mmm technological advancements...

@Djarcdegree it's not difficult to make the songs fit together, it's difficult to choose the right songs and make the crowd cheering!! so if you CAN dj or not is a matter of talent and skills, not of equipment!!
