i guess your right it just looks like a messed up vhs tape more than anything else im guessing your were messing around with the display? instead of the mainboard cpu gpu etc looks cool tho
You could have a go at bending an original Sega. Just stick to the chips or you might kill the machine. Do not bend anything using a wall-outlet if you are a beginner, but if you are experienced you could have a go if you are very careful and use well insulated equiptment to probe/bend it.
The whole thing about never bending anything AC is kind of silly. The AC adapter doesn't output mains voltage, and most of these old systems don't suck anything in excess of 2 ma tops. The only way you'd come into contact with the mains voltage is if the ac adapter failed, which I suppose could happen but it's akin to standing in front of your TV waiting for lighting to strike and fry you. Highly unlikely.
Actually, some home consoles like the Famicom, Nintendo 64, Atari 2600, etc. use lov voltages (Famicom=10v, N64=12v, Atari 2600=9v). And some also use DC current, such as the Famicom (Famicom=10vDC, 850 mA). What you don't want to circuit bend is a power-hogging console that uses AC power and the full power from a wall outlet (100v, 120v, 240v, etc.)
Wow. Circuit bending causes some glitchy stuff to occur...
You know what would be awesome? If one could make an interface to select what circuits should be accessed/stopped being accessed and stuff. Glitch on command!
wow that was so cool :D! I love the behaviour of the sega game at end of this video, I was just waiting for the sound to start going crazy, keep up the "good" work ;D

How do we know that it is really the Genesis doing that and you're not playing a messed up tape with a Genesis recording on it?

because this is a demo for the item I sold, which is now owned by a musician.

And by the way, the pitch shifts were creepy and funny at the same time.

The Sonic games were so flimsily programmed that it's easy to hack the crap out of them in any way possible.

this was not a set top sega it was a handheld one powered by 4 AA's, do not circuit bend anything plugged into the wall.
