  • that is one bad ass cage my friend. i just got a bearded dragon!!

  • I LOVE CWD'S

  • thats a sweet tank man.

  • @saharen100 He's 5 now, he was 3 in this video

  • how old is the one with METABOLIC BONE DISEASE

  • I just got my first baby CWD a few weeks ago, he barely eats, like 2 mealworms every other day... I always offer him crickets and mealworms every day and leave mealworms in a dish for him but he just wont eat. I checked him for any infections and he was captive bred so I don't believe that there any parasites on him, any advice?

  • @jakestring98 Take him to a vet.

  • @jakestring98 well first he's probably getting used to his surrounding, so he isn't gonna eat GREAT yet. also how big is he? Do you have GOOD LIGHTING? Thats key to proper appetite stimulation, if you think he's not getting good light piut him outside in sun for an hour a day or so. if he's a baby maybe thats enough for him, but as long as he's eating thats ok.

  • nice cage

  • @thor00762 THANKS!!!

  • perfect place.not bad

  • are your dragons still ok

  • omg his cage is so pimped out

    love it

  • @ilns10 Haha thanks!

  • @jduenas32 ok so i have a quistion 2 days ago i finally got my baby CWD yay but like she keeps jumping at the glass over and over again after a wile she will stop but then after a wile she will just do it again. also this morning i was peting her wile she was in her cage but when i started to bring her out to pet her and sit down she jumped to try to get out but i was able to cach her and put her back i dont want anything to happen to her also could it be that she is still getting used to it

  • @ilns10 thanks

  • @ilns10 yes she is probably getting used to it, but perhaps let it out a little bit every day.

  • @ilns10 hey wats sup bro i got two chinese water dragons just asking why is my female chasing my male around

  • @sharkonhackz Territory perhaps? I've not heard to much about that.

  • Most Cwd have those bumps right there it shows sex like Aragon is a male and most (not all) but most males have those bumps right there so yes he might have mbd but those bumps don't necisaraly mean that's mbd

  • @The119manish i agree mine has had a bump like that on the base of his tail for over a year and is very healthy and active.

  • What enclosure do you have?

  • @LuisSanchezAstro13 Exoterra 36x24x18

  • oh by the way check out melissa kaplan or anapsid.com her website is amazing and she has been studying reptiles and other animals forever thanks for this video! now im going to build my chinese water dragon an outdoor cage with my christmas money

  • ive got an exo terra light and i hear a lot of bad things about it but do u think the calcium for my water dragon will be fine?

  • I have a 2 year old CWD, Scout, got him when he was 6 months. A few weeks after I got him I learned about MBD the hard way. He lost all the nails on 1 hand and a finger. I got him a UVB, STRICT calcium diet and since then hes done so well and is the prize of my herp collection.

  • what size is the tank,oh and i like the setup

  • Hi I just got a Chinese water dragon and he is a baby he lives in a 30 gallon terrarium and looks very happy. I provide calcium in his cage and put his mealworms in calcium. I don't know if I have UVB lighting it is 2 lamps with a blue light bulb is that ok he gets good heat around 80-90 degrees. He doesn't move often he just climbs up to the top of a branch and sits there. He doesn't squirm while being held either he is very nice. Can anyone please respond back to me for advice?

  • should i put a limb for my chinese water dragon to climb on or a pet-tech mushroom ledge?

  • Dose he act ok

  • Please help! ):

  • Hi I have a small 4-5 month old bearded dragon who has reallyyyyyyyyy bad mbd his back has 2 huge lumps and is cricked also his stomach is really hard if I can't press in to it cause it's really hard. I'm so confused I don't know what's wrong with and cant afford to take him to the vet he was left behind by his owners because he was really sick. he does eat alottt of crickets though is that a good sign?

  • What wattage should i get my UVB light

  • pause @ 0:39 aragon is saying WAT R U LOOKING @?!

  • @mattster1127 FYI its Eragon

  • Your tank is INCREDIBLE!!,

  • hey i have a qestion is that the biggest a chinese water dragon will grow cause i heard that they grow up to about 44 inches and yours looks about 20

  • @dukedanuke 44 inces is massive!!! More like 28-36 inches. for a male. Yes he is 19 in this video.

  • Cool name of the dragons, I realy like Eragon.

  • thats why sunglasses are made of glass and plastic! =P hahaha (I work at a Sunglass Hut)

  • i got a chinese water dragon about 4 or 5 months ago and got a 10.0 flukers uvb light and it work perfectly and keeps my lizard eating and healthy.

  • i have a green basilisk, and i have had him for about a year now so he has grown qwite a bit! i noticed when he was smaller he had bumps near the tail like your i asked about it, the petstore owner told me it was just cuz it was a lil skinny, and it being one of my first reptiles i believed it! lets get back to the topic here... i have a the recomended bulb used by " zilla " will the bumps go away or does it mean it still has MBD??? I also dust its food with zoo meds " reti calcium " thanks:)

  • cool vid. Does the mega-ray produce UVB and UVA? I rescued an adult male Water Dragon about a month and a half ago, and he has SEVERE MBD. My vet took one look at him and just said "oh my gawd." Hes under a Zilla tube UVB light, but I want something a little stronger. Someone recommended the Exo Terra Solar Glo, but Im hearing mixed reviews.

  • @desirose01 Best is about an hour or so of DIRECT SUNLIGHT. Daily to nurse him back to health, this will also help with his appetite

  • @jduenas32 okay, thats good. Ive been taking him outside everyday, I just felt like he needed more in his tank. Thanks!

  • @desirose01 EXO TERRA SOLAR GLOS LAST ABOUT 2 MONTHS,...MAX so yeah sunlight would be better

  • my email is sickness2020@yahoo.com

  • i need some help any body can help me plz email me i wanna kno how to fine out my 2 dragons if one is male other is female

  • Chinese water dragons have bumps like that I thinks Its normal.

Is one of ur CWD Alex have a broken foot. Mine has a broken foot

  • i have a 50 wat uvb bulb is that ok

  • you ought try exo terra mercury solar vapour bulb, it provides best uvb

  • NIce cage.! and exo terra does work good.

  • How are they doing? You haven't posted a new video in awhile.

  • pretty sick cage man where did u get it???

  • Hey i know this isnt relivent to ur video but is ur tank custom made cause im from N.I and we realy dont have as much reptile specialists or vets so i hand it hard to find a good tank my waterdragon is 6 years old and is getting to big for his cage

  • mega ray is just that brand of bulb. there many companies that make the mercury vapour bulb. thats the best bulb u can buy. they are around 70$ canadian and there the ONLY light tha produces uva and uvb n heat. u can run just a mercury vapour bulb in your tank they dont need to be combined with any other light.they dont produce muscle tone.... but they help with digestioin , energy boost. theywill get greener . these lights run much hotter the normal not recomened for anything under 100gl maybe

  • i asked my vet about this mbd bump crap when i had to take mine in and they said they arent related at all. they also said there absolutly no way for them to tell if he has mbd unless i have a full body x ray/ and thats after i had alrdy gotten an x ray ...but didnt telll me it was just head shot till after ..

  • should u keep iguanas and chinese water dragons in the same cage

  • @bananers114 No its not advisable

  • @jduenas32 they can fight ?

  • @bananers114 Yes you can without a problem mate... make sure the cage is big enough and that both are around 1 year old before housing them togheter, I've been doing it for a year now with a 3 yo iguana and a 1yo water dragon... But you should be experienced with both species so you can adjust your cage the way both animals can be comfortable, watch my video on iguana housing and care and CWD housing and care I explain it further in there =p

  • hey, i noticed your humidity at 41% in the tank. it's recommended to keep the humidity for water dragons at around 80%, even with the water. misting their tank everyday should help keep the humidity up

  • @AngelsNeverEat Oh it says that cause the lights burns it off. its actually more like 90 cause of the water feature, thanks tho.

  • @AngelsNeverEat constant 80% humidity isnt nessacary at all

  • dude how big is the terrarium plz answer i want to know how big i should get my customized one

  • howw ild is alex in this video mine is small like that too but i think its a male but itt is still young

  • how much do vet bill normally cost i might get one and i was just wondering?

  • @Starlightshadow22 ive never had one over 60 bucks

  • @jduenas32 ok thanks

  • dude suite lizard but a bump, does not mean he has mbd

  • @anoleking oh i know, but that was most NON vet oriented explanation

  • my pwd have it too... and it loses its tail because of that mother fucking disease !!!!

  • and where can u get mega ray bulbs

  • @MrAndypanda24 on the info of cage click on it it will give you website

  • if a cwd has a little bump where his tail starts does that mean he has mbd

  • @MrAndypanda24 Could be if it's highly accentuated

  • @jduenas32 thanks

  • I hate it when reptiles get sick when u can clearly see that the owner loves their herp so much...like your lizard has such a nice nice nice tank and u are taking the proper steps to help your herp. good luck

  • @ZSHREDPJ Thanks bud.

  • are the exo terra solar glo's really that bad, i cant go out and spend alot of money as of now, so i was thinking of getting just a linear uvb light, since i have heat lamps, but i saw the exo terra MVB and thought they look good?

  • @wyattthompson1 just dont get the TWISTY uvb bulbs. they suck. maybe another brand will be good.

  • @jduenas32 the light you have at 6:04, are those the bad lights? cause i have one for my snapping turtle

  • @wyattthompson1 No they are just UVA lights.

  • Your terrarium and your lizards are pretty cool (:

  • Your Dragons both have a bad case of rubber jaw i suggest you try a calcium dish or dust your meals a bit more with calcium . :) Just trying to help.

  • @Theherpco thanks. umm whats rubber jaw?

  • he is in the exoterra the same when he was young?

  • how old and tall is he today please?

  • @pype64 Not sure onheight but he's 26 inches, and 3 years old.

  • where can you find mega ray bulbs

  • thanks for the help tips and i been taking my lguana outside everyday and he loves it

  • Quando metti un nuovo video ??ciaociao

  • make a video

  • @THEFISHPERSON101 i will soon, honestly not into you tube right now. I just answer questions

  • are u ever going to get a bigger tank? if so BULID IT!

  • @THEFISHPERSON101 Already got a bigger tank, And no I didnt build it.

  • @jduenas32 how big is it?

  • @jduenas32 does the exo terra 36x18x24 come with a uvb hood, and also which size tank do you use now for a full grown CWD

  • @wyattthompson1 No hoods.

    Now a 4x6x2 ft

  • @jduenas32 did you have to make the 4x6x2 cage, if not where did you get it?

  • @wyattthompson1 Customcages google them

  • @jduenas32 im starting to think that building one with my brothers would be cheaper. its almost $700 for a 6x3x2ft. cage!, did you have your custom ordered and how much was it?

  • @wyattthompson1 building one is a great option. ya mine cost that much.

  • were can i buy this

  • well i mean his color changes to a lil green he is mainly brown any help?

  • @oIVIILKo thats fine, if hes young sometimes they dont have good color

  • @oIVIILKo

oh ok well hes about 2 1/2 feet long id say about 2 years old?

  • great vid man, I now confirmed my fear that my water dragon has MBD, same bumps where yours is, but slightly larger, he's 5 years old and still going strong, I feed him calcium and vitamin powdered crickets and have 2 UV bulbs. I will look into the Mega Ray bulbs you speak of!

  • what is the right tank size for 1 chinese water dragon

  • @TXLink08 6ftx4ftx2ft

  • you should also get calcium dust and nice turtles

  • you should also get calcium dust

  • How many watts is the bulb and how far away is the bulb from the basking spot?

  • @SillyClay 100 watts and its 12 inches away

  • my water dragon is brwon i bought him like that i use uvb and basking heat buthing is really changing any advice?

  • @oIVIILKo what do you mean? the color of him is changing?

  • Hey mate !

You got very beautiful kids and great lizard, hope the best for you !

  • @Akyy1994 thanks bud :)

  • Is a chinese waterdragon a good pet and how big do they get

  • @101lizardman yes they are good and quite hardy givin the proper conditions. max is 3 ft mostly tail

  • did you get a bigger cage for them yet?

  • oh my god you are so helpful.

  • where did you buy the uvb bulb?

  • @burub123 Loo on info section for link

  • i use the Repti Glo 5.0 26 watt uvb light is that decent enough for my water dragon?

  • @majordyslexic is it the flouresant?

  • when u making more reptile videos

  • how do u know if your CHW has bonne disease?

  • @rhysburnetthotmail Bumps abnormalities in the structure of the spine and various other bones

  • can they die from this and mine hase a kinda large and hard bumb all around his left leg and he has mbd and its not all the way around just a part please respond im begging so he doesnt die and will the vet help him and he is about 4 months old

  • @leos4life21 Well proper lighting and calcium supplemention is highly importANT. Put outside for an hour a day. Should get better over time. Also the vet will be able to help you as well.

  • My Blue tongue skink has MBD too. When I bought him me and my siblings noticed a dip in where his tail starts, then I found out it's MBD. Feeding him calcium covered crickets seemed to do the trick and I later bought him a UVB bulb, pretty much preventing it from getting more severe.

  • @MrWeezy7542 Water dragon

  • why does my dragon not eat

  • @thredddd Gimme example? Also alot has to do with lighting, it stimulates appetite and activity. if its like 80 or so degrees outside put him in sun for an hour it should help.

  • Ok thanks! Ive got Same lizard and same terrarium as yours. Ive just heard of these bulbs burning lizards thats all. But obviously works because you have showed that! So the cwd doesnt get all the uvb it requires from the compact bulbs? What do you think of the exo terra solar glo?

  • @scottyn87 They are ok. But the megaray is the best. It gives off the most uvb. But the best is like one hour of sunlight directly

  • what watt is the bulb dude? do they come in different uv ratings? thanks!

  • @scottyn87 Mine is 100watt. But get one according to your needs. Check thier website for more wattages and info (in my info box)

  • whats it like seeing your dragon "grow up"

  • @longshawt Hmm. Well its cool. Seeing him grow for 2 years. Hes a lil over 24 inches and i got him at about 13 inches. So its cool. Plus Ive had fun doin the setups and stuff. Its a fun hobby

  • glass doesn't allow uvb in at all.

  • @imabadspeler Yes it does. JUst not alot. Plastic allows almost ZERO.

  • @jduenas32 This is crap... Glass or plastic both don't allow uv rays... If you want uv from sun buy or build a flexarium...

  • @Baktiridion Oh ok genius. What in a green house? OHMYGOSH!!!! Thats right GLASS!!! UH DUH!!!!!

  • @jduenas32 This is a fact... Do whatever you want... These are your reptiles...

  • @Baktiridion Doesnt matter anyway. if you listened to my video you will know it is thru a screen anyway. so arguement solved.

  • do i use the repto cal every feed? or like every other?

  • @xXMarksman52Xx Every other feed is good.

  • do you ever have problems with the turtle and the little water dragon?

  • Dude, I've posted on another of your vids, I love mega-rays! have boxes of them lol! However, repti-sun 5 & iguana light florescent tubes are still the best way to get that UVB (spectrometer tested) without having to put out heat. keep that in mind as certain herps (jacksons chameleons for example) will not benefit as much from an mvb as they wilt in heat. So do live plants, and i use live. just don't discredit the TUBES from ZooMed (blame the overpriced pet store). ExoTerra bulbs r inferior

  • w00t, I just ordered that tank..got it for 249 with free shipping..I'm beasting for it.

  • cool reptiles

  • sorry didn't mean it as a dig just you spend all that money on a light and don't get the full benifit from it. But must admit they are nice dragons

  • No biggie. Dude I had the EXO ones and these are way better. Some peeps put it on pastic covers which completelty defeat the purpose

  • ive had some wc green anoles in past years with the same bump

  • have you tried arcadia i think they are pretty good. but if i was you i would still be concerned on how much uv they are getting as that screen top will filter it and how far the light is away.

  • I did I actually talked about the screen and also the distance for the light in the video

  • @stroudy63 no man, these are seriously way better than commercial mercury vapors. if he has the LOW UV model (which is what i have success with wd's and chameleons, but i use mostly tubes on my chams) then he might be concerned, but that screen is meant to let the light from the crappy exos. it's not too tight and it's not black like those zipcages. u don't want to get these too close, i used the arcadia in the late nineties, but im all mray and repti-sun now baby and lovin it!

  • wow do you have turtles in there to?? or am i just seeing things.lol. nice set up.

  • Yes I also have 2 turtles in there

  • im sorry but, exo terra bulbs for uvb are probably the best uvb bulbs i have ever had for my terrariums.

  • Thats cool. But as you can see i have almost all exoterra stuff so I wouldnt knock them. But with a uvb meter the exo bulbs are prob thhe worst out there. Almost non functioning. Im not knockin them but i switched for a reason. Check it out you will see :)

  • Do those floresents give off uvb light?

  • NO they don't the MEGARAY bulb does tho

  • Repti-Glo gives off uvb..

  • I'm not using reptiglo tho. BUt yes reptiglo does give off uvb

  • oh, I thought you were using the repti-glos. My bad.

  • I did before. BUt in this video I switched to the MEGARAY uvb bulb and flouresent bulbs. The repti glos kinda sucked and led to the slight case of MBD.

  • great video specially since i just started raising my CWD! thanks for posting all these videos with all this good information!

  • Thanks i'm glad they help
