Ive seen old houses a lot like this in raliegh nc. Very nice what you are doing and by going vertical you save on foundation cost

well it started it was just gonna be 2 stories, but then i wanted my 2nd story to not lose headroom, so i went higher, it is small but theres lots and lots of room... for 12'x16'
