From Portland, take Hwy 84 East, Exit 41, which is one exit east of Bonneville Dam. There is a $5 parking fee, but the good thing is the parking lot is monitored. The trailhead begins 1/4 mile past the lot. Or, if you are already hiking in the Eagle Creek Watershed, watch for Eagle Creek Trail #440. Note: be prepared--there are no "rest stops" or water fountains along this trail. I take a water purifier bottle with me.
how far down the trail did you go? I only went as far as Tunnel Falls.

It's in Bonneville, OR. You go by the fish hatchery, then you take a right, I think. Then you'll find the Eagle Creek area.
