I was supremely disappointed with the nonBill Murray parts of Zombieland, but was pleasantly surprised to find I enjoyed this. It's a zombie comedy, like Shaun of the Dead & Dead Alive (Braindead), but it takes itself completely seriously, so you don't know when to expects the lols, like the one where the zombie politician rips off a preacher's arm & beats him with it.

A race of zombie like aliens have run out of food supplies on their home plant so they launch themselves into space via a meteor and crash lands on earth. Well true to any bullet-in-the-head zombie flick, this has a lot of social commentary, but maybe they overdid it just a bit. I'm not saying I didn't like the movie. I was wondering, and maybe someone could answer this. The dead guy washed up on the beach in the beginning looked like some lab worker right? So the whole thing blaming terrorists was just made up by the gov't when it was REALLY them who had created it is a lab right? Makes sense to me.

I'm sorry, but no one else in this world knows how to portray zombies on film like the living legend, George A. Romero. And only one man knows how to put zombies into text and make it work and sound real, Max Brooks. Those two should get together to write and create the ultimate zombie movie of our time. @Sephirothwolf That's why Romero's movies and Brooks' novels have both done so well. The 2004 DOTD was gorry, graphic, and an intense film, but it lacked the esscence of what Romero would have done. That's why it's virtually been forgotten, while people still watch the 1978 version over and over. In the 2004 verison, human kind had virtually no chance of survival against a 'superhuman zombie'. But keep it simple and show an enemy that CAN be fought on equal terms, you'll do much better......

@AnaRedfield No, the Resident Evil has taken a twisted course of it's own that neither Max Brooks or George Romero could fix. Yeah Romero's last couple of films haven't been box office gold, bt he stays true to what the genre started out as. He doesn't need superhuman, fast running, and mutant zombies to tell a good story, as does Max Brooks. I think there'll probably be 1 last Resident Evil movie and then that's it. Shit I think even Milla Jovovich is starting to get tired of playing that role.

My point was aimed at other movies that have come out that are ripping off the zombie genre and burning it out like what the whole Twilight series has done to vampires.
