  • lol @ bounce am, we gotta gamer on site

  • me & my grandma use to dance to this. 1989 baby & i still know my music

  • this is like early house music lol

  • @willyblaze732: Absolutely. When we danced to this sound in the mid/late 70s... it was in the same "spirit" as when we danced to house years later. I'm now 52 years old and still seek the same "feel" in music no matter what the decade. My kids appreciate soulful house, jazz, latin, Motown and classical for the same reasons. A "feeling" that goes far beyond a big beat. ;- )

  • Bounce FM!

  • One person doesn't like the vid : it's the boss of VEVO who has just noticed that the video isn't in the motherfucking Very Evil Video Organization

  • Put this song in a time capsule. Open it in 50 years. And people will still be feeling it.

  • @hibiscusfreak who cares what your doing. Fucking chump.

  • @TerrorTown7575 Well hello there, Mr./Ms. Hatred. Did you have a bad little day?

  • @dlucas7787 You dont HAVE to be, but to deny the majority of listeners in it self seems pretty ignorant to me. besides, back in those days blacks did consider this music made by blacks, for blacks, just how it was back then.

  • @epps760 no need for those comments today--I am Black

  • @epps760 guess that depended on where you lived and who you mixed with. cant say thats how it was seen in my recollection:)

  • @squirrellips1 LOL.....I like that!!!

  • 1 person couldn't run away. What a shame, LOL!

  • Another one of the 500 reasons I prefer 70's dance music to any other (or "disco" as those of us unapologetic enough to still call it by its true name do) what an unbelievable outpouring of FABULOUS music, no wonder clubs were packed 7 nights a week back then. I defy ANYONE to sit still while this is playing.

  • Thank God for Roy Ayers...Thank God for A Tribe Called Quest...

  • goddamn ive been dancing to this song for 2 hours

  • @partyhardydardy I been dancing for two months off this song only and let me tell ya that it brightens my day everytime I hear it... I just dance my way on down the streets of Cali and be in my zone!!!

  • Sampled, masterfully, by Tribe. Love it!

  • I remember my older cousin-who I thought was was quiet hip- showing my sister and I the official dance moves to this track . Didn't know it was gonna become a Jazz Funk anthem back then.

A million dislikes couldn't stop the beat in my feet as this tune reaches deep baby !!

  • Absolute perfection is rarely seen in life and art, but this an example right here.

Also I'm convinced that a lot of these classics on YouTube have the same troll accounting for the one dislike, been seeing the 100's to 1 ratio on a bunch of classic break posts.

  • Does anyone remember A Tribe Called Quest's description of a fool ?

  • @chatege75 I totally remember that, that was actually my favorite album out of all the ones ATCQ dropped....they always had a lot of respect for the old school. This track is timeless....

  • @chatege75 No Doubt ... 2:48

  • @chatege75 do i? they sampled it so well they made me wanna find the original. they were the first hip hop group to fuse rap with jazz. pioneers, trailblazers whatever you wanna call them........they changed the game in rap. no one sampled jazz samples, everyone jus used the same James Brown samples. Ali Shaheed Muhammed, Tip, Phife and Jarobi changed the landscape of hip hop

Best Of Black Music. The 70s, Dont Need to Mention All The Bands. All The Way

Until The Early 90s. God Knows. The House Parties, The Clubs Without "Shoot

Outs" Nice Pair Of Slacks, Shoes, and a Sharp Crisp Shirt. DAMM!! R/B was for all

Generations Young and Old. --Hip Hop-- PLEASE..

  • @BlackPride1000 Old men have their memories, young men have their dreams. In a psychological context, people who live in the past, for whatever reason, have nothing to look forward to but destitution, deterioration and default. What is the current state of Getto Riddims in Belmopan. That's the capital brother. You need to know that.

  • Funky and smooth at the same time...

  • this is the foundation on which most of present day r&b, dance and pop is built on. you cant no any future if you don't know your history

  • people just dont no about old school mom and dad cuts they were playing when you was running around the house in pampers when company was over. you stupid young kids you dont no shit about classy music because you were not born in this real error! dumb asses killing people over dumb rap music instead of appreaciating real music

  • @tine214 - well, u asked

  • This is classic disco and hip sounds!

  • @tine214 - this is what they used to call the "LP"....the 12-inch...in other words, the long version

  • one of my favorite cuts

  • there were so many diverse artist that had major "disco" hits this being a prime example. Then when the Homophobes got their way and effectively killed disco as came to know it ,none of these artist stood up for the genre that made them wealthy or famous..that being said this song would pack the floor everytime..

  • when i was little i thought they were singing "billy due"! LOL!

  • @brainysnaeha also in Driver 4

  • @tine214, I think this is the version from the 12" vinyl, aka the "long" version. The xylophone solo makes this piece that much more awesome.
