Fractional reserving lending...it's birth on Jekyll Island..the tying of all bankers losses to tax payers are certainly being proven not to be conspiracy theories along with the purchasing of political power to adjust laws to favor friends of the bankers. Well I think it's rather the way you say it or the conclusions you reach. Conspiracy theories are not outright lies, they're just a particular way (usually twisted) to look at the things you see. Usually it involves only seeing one reason why things occur rather than the multitude of factors that make life the complex set of arrangements that we know. This is typical of what happens with "The Creature From Jekyll Island": there are no lies in this book, it merely omits...

e- Creating an EU President. A non-executive role, it would have replaced the 6 month rotating presidency. The size of the European Commission (the government of the EU) would have been reduced to 18 commisioners instead of the current 27 (one per country).

f- Give legal recognition to symbols like the EU flag (the circle of stars), to the European anthem (Beethoven's Ode to Joy) or its motto (United in Diversity)

g- Allow a process for members to withdraw from the EU.

As you can see the conspiratorial view is a little shorter hence more appealing to people who are intellectually less demanding. However this is the true picture and not a troncated vision of things, the main characterictic of conspiracy theories. But there is some truth to the statement that the EU takes away national sovereignty, but only partially and in areas where it makes sense. And looking at history, national sovereignty has more often been a problem. Good riddance!!
