I must say Mr.Eistein, you are right about the latter, for our stupidity is boundless, but you also must admit that there is no end to our ingenuity and brilliance as well.
Actually humans may not be the "fittest" as far as evolution is concerned, you are basing this on intelligence being the most important aspect to the survival of the species which may very well not be the case. Our intelligence if not used properly could kill our species.
Your life is swift. In fact you won't remember this time in your afterlife. I don't want to preach at anyone. And you don't HAVE to listen. But the afterlife lasts an eternity. No matter where you go it lasts FOREVER. I would rather care about my eternity than the years i have on earth. I also want to show that the 666 you have in your name is the mark of the beast in revelation. It symbolizes the anti christ. So you believe there IS an anti christ? if so that means you must believe a Christ...
did u blame the nazi holocaust on CHRSTIAN insanity? good history book if it's up your ass!!! If hitler was a christian then so is barrack obama! Hitler believed more in valhalla than heaven of the bible. I guess all christians should find faith in pouring lead onto sheets to read the signs. whatever ostrich!
@bobadork Why hasn't the catholic church excommunicated him? They still accept him as a catholic. Just answer 1 question, does the catholic church deny Hitler is a loyal follower?
@alienlifeform11 the catholic church has as much to do with real christianity as judaism does with islam. Catholics aren't christians. plain and simple. ever since they burnt people at the stake for not swallowing that the eucharist was real human flesh. Fox's book of martyrs goes into how the popes of thier times were called the antichrist since they elevate themselves above God's law. You can bash catholicism all day and night and I'd prob agree w 99%.
@bobadork Your obvi dumb and stupid evoltuion is theory not a fact scientists found out tht is nearly impossible tht this world came about by itself also evolution is mathematical fail all things tht evoltuionists use cnt be scientifically observed the universe cant create it self so there is god jesus christ was a real person they have records of him he came down to be born so he would open the portal to heaven every bible prohpecy came true in the bible so evoltution is compelete bull shit
@alienlifeform11 No what hitler did was insane he judged other ppl n blamed everybody else he killed 6 million jews n there very cathloic so god isnt goin to accept someone who killed tht many ppl he was a complete psycho path he full of evil he is apart of the devils bloodline
Man i'm with you on all of this, but i would perhaps add that resposibility of 9/11 lies in the hands of a fair few christians too. But like some others have commented, the truth is that this hatred manifests itself through religion, race, nationality, you name it. So we must constantly remove these barriers, or stop these differences from being such dangerous barriers. Peace and love x
The True God Who only a few truly worship, doesn't want people to burn in hell. Oh, it's real, but nobody seems to understand the purpose of hell, so they either avoid talking about it, try to scare people with it, and/or they get mad at God for putting creating it. If you care to know why, you can ask me, but Im not into wasting words, time, energy etc. Bye :..(
BTW ;..( tear-face for you and your lame music isn't going to real in my sympathy about the cause against all beliefs that look religious, so if you see the devil you can tell him to shove it where he hurts. Islam is a bad religion. People try to make it look good. Real Christianity is a good (more than) Religion, but some people [who are most likely in hell now] made It look bad, and people living still do. I'm sorry about that. again, ;..( I wish I could have told you before.
J6a6so6n, I hand you over to God for now. Just so you know, it is not my hell, I will not even go there, because I accepted and will never deny the Holy Spirit of Jesus and His Father God,if only u had known His Love and hadn't been put off by man. For your case, the Bible says, "Those who are without the law will perish without the law." Bye. Forever
Remember that science and human nature have brought us nice things like chemical, nuclear, and biological weapons. These inventions are the ones that will truly define human suffering and loss over the next millennium. Forgive the uneducated for believing in such simplistic views of something "greater than ourselves". People will find other ways to exert control with new ideologies long into the foreseeable future, many of them based on new discoveries in science and technology.
Evil will always be there, even when "religion" is long gone. Aggression is a survival trait that has helped us be the "fittest" in Darwin's epic game of evolution. Human beings will always find a way to express their anger, as it is a part of our genetic makeup. You can clearly see anger in other animals, and until we don't need it to compete amongst ourselves, it will remain. Religion is not the real issue. What we are really talking about here is education, and brainwashing.
Nothing exploded out of nothing, creating space, creating the Earth, somehow creating humans, yet scientists can not explain this thoroughly. I am a Christian, and at least we have answers. The war religion has brought was brought upon by ourselves. God gave us free will, and we chose to create evil. Notice that WE created war. Not God. I respect your opinion, but sometimes you have to look deeper and be more open-minded. Just think about how the Universe started if there was no God.
There is historical proof that Jesus walked on this very earth but whether you choose to believe it or not is your own choice, but honestly think about it. Do you think one day just some how a poof then the universe came about? No god put it here, I just wish you would realize this. May your time left on earth be blessed, may you get to know Jesus even though you den eyed him. He still loves you but can't forgive you. Bless journey soul after this life.
So sad I wish people could just open their eyes for a second and see athiests kill, religious people kill, those who don't know kill and each one is blaming the other.I would hate living in communist Russia as much as i would hate living in modern day Iran it is the inability to let others believe as they will that causes so much death. Debate should be allowed and for those that want to be left to there own beliefs they should be allowed.... freedom for all to choose the path they walk.
i was always told god will forgive u no matter what. i was told he wud always be there. so if i say that i deny, will god forgive me? apparently not as the bible says so. the bible contradicts itself. its bullshit. fuck it. religion can kiss my ass.
@GiveEmHellGirl Really? Because I believe the Bible states clearly that denying God was one of the unforgivable sins; "but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation." So blaspheme, or denying God.
well I guess your two brothers were the lucky ones they chose right. How can you say youve studies history and never studied the Bible but bash the Bible. It does none of us any good now to pray for you because now we know whe you will spend eternity. do you know that history has never once proved the Bible wrong.
@Jimjimjesse but its not up to history to prove religion wrong its up to religion to prove itself right you claim to have all the answers we show you the proof and explain what is actually happening the bible is a lie there is no god and there is no hell youve spent your whole life waiting to die while the atheist spent it living and searching for answers .
Wrong scientist, historian origin of life is still unproven. You must explain the big bang, th Cambrian explosion, the fine tuning of our life giving solar system. All science has done is point to a creater and history is of men seeking power. I will give one religeon which is evil this is Islam.
Just something to throw into your statement, if you have studied history you would note that Jesus Christ the man did in fact exist. It's the belief that he is the sun of god that you deny. Just to straighten that out.
Prove that Jesus actually existed. There were lots of people named Jesus. To say, "Jesus existed" you must prove the miracles. Good luck. If you have any evidence exclusive of of the Bible, I'd like to see it. I do not accept the Bible as evidence, because of when and how it was written.
I did not say he was the son of god or able to perform miracles, but there are historical records of a man named Jesus Christ, who claimed to be the son of god and was crucified along with 2 thieves for heresy. The man existed. I personally do not believe him to be the son of god. I believe he was a man. Even the Jews admit he existed. It's the idea that he was "holy" that is debated.
Where is the evidence of the crucifixion? The only mention of the word Christ in contemporary history is in two roman writings, no mention of the name Jesus. The only documents said to be evidence for Jesus were proven a forgery. There is no strong evidence of this ever taking place and it is a direct plagiarism of Egyptian mythology as for the crucifixion and the theives. I know there were no miracles, but there is more counter evidence than evidence he even existed.
religion isn't evil it's the people who manipulate it for their own agenda and that's the way it's always been. yes, these texts have resulted in many atrocious things, but they most certainly should not be disregarded. they hold secrets of ancient knowledge.
you obviously have a negative view of religion and that's pretty understandable but if you look from a historical view there's alot to be learned from it. I think most religions have just been badly misinterpreted.
There is no knowledge that is not power. Religion has taught me to be skeptical of anyone claiming to have the answers, regardless of context. Life is an individual thing and the meaning is what you make of it. There are lessons taught in the Bible I agree with and lessons taught that I don't, I only deny the miracles of the Bible, not the framework for discussion it provides. I just believe the book is over examined and mystified unnecessarily. Those who claim devine knowledge make me cringe.
I think you might have misunderstood what i was saying. I wasn't talking about divine knowledge i was implying that if you take a good look you realize that our ancestors weren't as stupid as most people think. they just explained themselves in ways that people could relate at those times and it has often been taken literally or misinterpreted for the past thousand years or so.
So now it is time to move past that. People only understood fear and death apparently. The Bible is nothing more than a mix of positive and negative reinforcement of bronze age ideas. Very bad, very wrong ideas at that.
What are you talking about? This is about the pathetic need to think an "afterlife" is real. That is the very heart of Western Religion. Besides, I have not met a financially successful religion that is not also deeply dogmatic.
That is the very heart of Western Religion but not all religion is western. You probably haven't, and neither have I but again, this is about a financially successful religion and not all religion. Were you trying to refute what I said? Because it doesn't really add up if you are.
So then very sparsely populated religions, because they may be less dogmatic or non-dogmatic make this video we are watching "not about religion"... I think refuting is the wrong word, but perhaps eliciting clarification of terms is what was intended... which you have done.
Yeah that's basically what I was trying to say in my first comment, just because the main religions we see are dogmatic in nature doesn't make all religion dogmatic.
Well said. Now, practically speaking, so what? The vast majority of religion, the strongest religions, are dangerously dogmatic... so perhaps the video maker does a service by the "short hand" of just saying "religion" - 1. it's time to stop all the dogma 2. what good do non dogmatic religions do that makes it worth their helping to prop up dogmatic ones? In order to survive the human race must become rational.
GOOD VIDEO JASON FUCK THE REST RIGHT?!! Very powerful, and I totally understand where your coming from and many others do to!!! Don't listen to the asshole's comments full of bigotry and hatred! Good work!
I'm talking hardcore people, if you are one of those quiet religious people, and give a comment or two I'm fine with you.. But if your one of those fucks that are harassing people left and fucking right and I'm sick of it! Your doing tjhis shit in gods name and you should be a shamed of yourselves!! You know who you are!! The one's that have nothing but insults and telling people that they are going to BURN!! FUCK YOU MOTHER FUCKERS! GET OUT OF MY FACE WITH YOU SHIT!
We don't have to be afraid but religion wants us to be afraid and I see what religion is doing to people and I don't like it. I suppose some people need it, but not I... I'm comforted enough knowing about Darwin's discoveries!!! SCIENCE is PURE KNOWLEDGE!! Religion is superstition and bigotry to the fullest!! THE MOST JUDGEMENTAL PEOPLE ARE RELIGIOUS TOO! You can't deny that people!! You can not! I've known enough religious people to no they hate fags, and anyone that doesn't think like them!
Especially someone with a religious agenda because they're doing things in the name of :"god." Government shouldn't be doing anything in the name of god!! Our money shouldn't have his name on it, and our country needs to quit using god and country! Not becuz it offends me becuz it doesn't I'm not a pussy I can deal w others belifs but not when they're shoving it down my throat and can't see the truth! HOW CAN YOU DENY SCIENCE?!! HOW?! This isn't the med evil ages we know now!! We don't have to..
Look what we have been doing!! Raging war in a damn country where we shouldn't have been at all!! Now Obama is ending the war in IRAQ and now we're going to Afghanistan?! Can't blame Obama for that, but why the fuck weren't we doing this a long time ago? Isn't weird how gas prices get outta control when bush is running the show, and we're invading a country with OIL!!! WTF is wrong with that picture?!! Basically the point im trying to make is I can't trust anyone especially.....
Why don't you Chrstian fucks just understand that they are wrong and SCIENCE PREVAILS OVER ALL! You guys always run around the bush, and religion is ALL FAITH NO EVIDENCE!! How are suppose to believe!! Most people are just beleving to save their asses! That's the wrong reason to believe in something!!! I'm sorry I'm not trying to be a dick but this was a very powerful video and he couldn't have been more right! Even our so called religious political leaders are always resorting to war!
you share exactly my vision about religion, unfortunately most of the people doesn't want to see that reality, and prefers their disease like it was a dream.
The bible is truth my friend and the bible says to have wisdom is to know God. I don't care what worldly definitions you throw at me, you can't have truth in the world. I don't have a religion(denomination), I'm Christian, period.
Doesn't matter the spelling, intelligence(oh sorry, intelligance) does not come through this world, it comes through the word of God. and you don't have it. Christianity isn't splintered, etc., religion is. You do worship a God, it's your own flesh. Everyone will see who is delusional when death comes. Hope the best for you but can't waste anymore of my time on someone who refuses to seek the truth.
Intelligance comes with knowing the Lords word and following it. Christianity is not a religion it's simply having a relationshiip with Christ. I agree with one thing you said, and that is everyone is responsible for their own actions whether there good or bad but only God can direct you into knowing what is truly bad or good.
There is no right from wrong in this world when you only depend on your own humanity. You need the father to guide you, He will never let you down, humans will.
Theres no ignorance in knowing Jesus. My self esteem is good and my life is complete because of Jesus. People let you down, not God. I was growing up with the world, and ended up actually grown up with Jesus. It so sad your not willing to feel the amazing love of God, because your not willing to accept the truth.
It's very sad how many are strayed away from God. If your not for God, your for satan no matter who you are, even athiest worship satan. This video is sad, this person who chose science also chose satan. If you don't give your life to Jesus, you will be in hell when death comes.
You're wrong, there is a god and that god is ME!! How did i know?? well, I first knew i was god when i tried praying, and suddenly, i realized that im talking to myself!! I CAN HEAR PRAYERS!!! WORSHIP ME!!!
Haha...you can't deny the Holy Ghost without knowing him first, and it's not religion that causes these injustices but religion fanatics; lets get rid of them instead. I'd also like to get rid of Aethist fanatics, and right/left wing polical fanatics.
Are you suggesting all of everybody's beliefs are wrong that "nothing" is a belief? So how did the Big Bang Happen? How did it get from nothing to something? How is it infinitely dense? And more importantly you would know religion has many truths to it if your such a historian. The Great Flood, Jesus, Muhammad so on. 97.7% of the world population is against you good luck with those odds but again it won't help.
"Are you suggesting all of everybody's beliefs are wrong that "nothing" is a belief?"
Um... translation anyone?
"So how did the Big Bang Happen?"
We don't know yet.
Yet another of the differences between the wise and the fools.
The wise are content to wait for answers, the fools love to insist lack of evidence is evidence of design, it's simply not possible for the fools to be more wrong.
Again, we don't know yet, but you have the same problem with 'God'.
Who, or what created 'God'? Who, or what created the being/thing that created 'God'?
If you insist on making the argument that 'God always existed' then merely fall into the trap of assuming the universe itself could not always have existed.
Your arguments are as fallacious as they are rediculous.
"And more importantly you would know religion has many truths to it if your such a historian. The Great Flood, Jesus, Muhammad so on."
'The Great Flood' could have been based off of any one of a thousand different floods. The problem is... there has never been a time in human history where the entire Earth was covered with water. Hence the flaw in that story (for those who take it literally).
As for 'Jesus', outside of the bible itself, there is *ZERO* evidence he ever existed. It's entirely possible the myth was based (and embellished) off of a single man, or many different men.
There's even doubt over the accounts of Mohammed's existance, since the earliest 'records' started over 150 years after his supposed death.
Do atheists believe in love? If you say yes, are you not a liar and a traitor to your own beliefs? One can not prove love, therefore it does not exist. This must be the position for an atheist as he or she does not accept God without proof from logic and reasoning. Please explain this.
I suspect most humans believe in love... regardless of their (non)religious beliefs.
"If you say yes, are you not a liar and a traitor to your own beliefs? One can not prove love, therefore it does not exist."
Wrong. Scientists have proven that the emotion we call 'love' exists. Like any other emotion humans feel... it's merely another chemical reaction in the brain.
This is the same nonsense as the 'you can't see the wind!' argument. We may not be able to see the wind directly... but we can observe it's effects (leaves moving, etc), and every human can feel the wind against their skin.
We can prove emotion... because we can observe the brain in action.
Watch this video for more info: watch?v=MW_65DdjdZ8
What you describe as observing the winds affects can also be done with God. This is implied reasoning, not proof. Why do you accept one thing on implication and not another?
I have evidence of my God. Evidence comes from the Holy Spirit and only from the spirit. Man can not prove God as this would nullify his choice to love God.
What stimulates this chemical reaction in your brain? There must something that influences your brains chemicals to cause a reaction. Is this a "magical complexity" with no explaination. As a true atheist, you must reject this. Your arrogance and pride of knowledge defiles you and blinds you from true wisdom.
"What stimulates this chemical reaction in your brain?"
Sight, touch, smell, even taste all play a role. The brain has been compared to a computer. In many ways, the brain IS a biological computer. It takes what it detects, through the senses, and give a result.
"There must something that influences your brains chemicals to cause a reaction. Is this a "magical complexity" with no explaination."
Nope, there is an explanation, just not the one your mind will accept. There is no magical complexity, just a sum result of the inputs the brain is fed.
Perhaps... but Lennon's voice didn't have the right 'tone'. I needed a somber, dark voice to convey the message properly, hence the selection of Johnny Cash.
Lennon always had a light, hopeful tone to his music (which I love) but could not convey the message correctly.
"I will be glad to have a logical debate as to how to prove God and how he transformed my life from a sinful one to a life conformed to Christ"
"Logical debate"? On what? There's no logic in choosing the religious path. Plenty of emotions... but no logic.
"but the video is attacking Christianity and I do not appreciate it."
Actually, this video is attacking *ALL* monotheistic religions, of which Christianity happens to be a member, and I really don't care if you don't 'appreciate it'.
Your allowed to have an opinion, sadly it isnt based on true facts. In the last century more people died by the hand of atheists than any other. Hitler, Stalin etc
"Your allowed to have an opinion, sadly it isnt based on true facts. In the last century more people died by the hand of atheists than any other. Hitler, Stalin etc"
Hitler was not an atheist. Regardless of what you believe, the *facts* show that Hitler was a Roman Catholic. So your 'facts' are skewed at best.
And even *if* Hitler was an atheist (he wasn't), that still would not even come *CLOSE* to the death toll religious nutbags have brought to this world.
Religion has not brought any conflict it is the stupidity, fear, and ignorance of others for anothers beliefs. Why would you point it at religion, atheism a belief god doesn't exist can also start a conflict it is man itself that wants to gain wants to prove he or she is right even though in war no one will ever win even if they survive it.
"Fear, ignorance, and stupidity caused evil and religion. Conversely, religion allows all of these to continue to exist, without logical cause."
Surely, you are not under the impression that Religion is the ONLY thing which allows these to exist. Surely, you are not under the impression that getting rid of religion would get rid of injustice.
I would agree that copious injustice springs from religious sources, but also from nonreligious sources.
"Surely, you are not under the impression that getting rid of religion would get rid of injustice."
Of course not, but removing the bad influence will help us towards the greater good.
You have a group of psychopaths with influence over the moderates. Disperse the psychopaths and remove their influence can only help in the pursuit of utopia (not that that's even possible, but you get the metaphor, right?).
You said that you have studied the history of religion (pardon me for paraphrasing). You don't need me to inform you on the speed with which a new superstition rapidly rises to power whenever an old one is dispatched.
Religion springs from dogma. So does Communism. Dogma depends on sophistry. If one wishes to eliminate one dangerous superstition such that it will not be replaced by another, the sophistry is what must be combatted.
"If one wishes to eliminate one dangerous superstition such that it will not be replaced by another, the sophistry is what must be combatted."
I agree, but sophistry is a bit too large a target. The ideal/hope is to remove religion one by one, in a way that shows just how illogical it is, which should, in turn, eliminate most sophistry, by extension of illogicality.
In other words, if done right, the illogicality of one will cause the other to fail.
It is, indeed, forgivable? Do you realize what this must mean? It means that Mark 3:29 does not apply. I wonder what other verses of the Bible don't apply.
"It is, indeed, forgivable? Do you realize what this must mean? It means that Mark 3:29 does not apply. I wonder what other verses of the Bible don't apply. "
Hell might be real to you, but you're the only one who's going there - every believer gets their own personal hell to enjoy fearing while being alive, but all believers and unbelievers alike get the blissfulness of non-existence after death :)
"I don't accept the "burden of proof" concept. Provide counter-evidence or lets drop it. "
Why not simply provide evidence for your own propositions? It does seem somewhat childish to make a declaration with such an incredibly low probability of truth that you lack any sort of evidential proof whatsoever.
"Why not simply provide evidence for your own propositions?"
Because providing evidence requires actually googling this and filtering information for about 5 minutes or w/e. Basically, it's a huge pain int he ass.
Besides what percentage of scholars dispute that Jesus existed AT ALL? It seems to be pretty low on the all.
"Because providing evidence requires actually googling this and filtering information for about 5 minutes or w/e. Basically, it's a huge pain int he ass."
I didn't realize you would propose a theory as fact that you hadn't actually gathered evidence for in the first place. My mistake.
Yepp NWO is spreading evolution propaganda like wildfire. That's what it really is purpose is primarily to allow for the reduction in morality it would appear. What could be gained from such a large decrease in morality? Well, a lot of things, but who knows what exactly they are after which would give them cause to bring such a thing to be.
IF what you say is true, what about all the HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF YEARS of pre-language and pre-religion human evolution where death by natural causes still occurred? Come to think of it, The very idea of macro evolution of the human species is so convoluted that I find it incredible. Sure I could see other species like birds, dogs etc coming from macro evolution theoretically, but humans from an ape-like ancestor without genetic splicing from ET's or creation from a god? No Way in hell.
Okay whoa, you seriously believe that Jesus is a fictional character with no legitimate record in history? Hahahahahahahaha WOW! I can respect jsut about everything else you said, at least take it with a grain of salt and try to understand what you are saying, but when you say something like "This historical person X never existed lololol" you pretty much destroy your ethos for that post man =/ what gave you that impression to begin with?
"Okay whoa, you seriously believe that Jesus is a fictional character with no legitimate record in history?"
There is no historical record of a man named 'Jesus Christ', outside of the bible... which cannot count as a scientific/historical document.
"but when you say something like "This historical person X never existed lololol" you pretty much destroy your ethos for that post man =/ what gave you that impression to begin with?"
Hey. I agree with you for the most part, but keep this in mind: Whether or not you believe he is holy, Jesus was real. If you don't believe in something that's real, that's against science itself. I mean, there may be no VISUAL proof of Jesus, but think about how this "Fictional" character created a whole new generation of thought that was supposedly for the good will. Anyways, you have a good opinion. My advice to you is: keep an open mind. But, who takes advice from a 12-year-old right? Peace.
Can you READ? there may be no VISUAL proof of Jesus, but think about how this "Fictional" character created a whole new generation of thought that was supposedly for the good will. Two religions would not base it off a fictional character. And again, you can live in your own little bubble and deny everything that religion was based off of, but that'd just be ignorant. Not everything requires evidence to be true. Prove that Alexander the great.
"there may be no VISUAL proof of Jesus, but think about how this "Fictional" character created a whole new generation of thought that was supposedly for the good will."
Much of what 'Jesus' supposedly 'created in thought' was already being taught by people like Confucius in Asia. Trade, even in those primitive times, was fairly active.
"Jesus'" 'teachings' could, very easily have come from the east via traders.
and BTW surely a person with such a High IQ as yourself wouldn't be wasting his/her time debating religion of the internet would they? I like to talk about religion to learn other people's perspectives. If you don't remain open-minded, the only way you'll be able to learn is from science. Science is very useful, but you can only know it to a superficial point. So again, rather than thinking that you're so much smarter than everyone else, be open to other's POV. I'm atheist too, no need to argue
"and BTW surely a person with such a High IQ as yourself wouldn't be wasting his/her time debating religion of the internet would they?"
It's not the IQ deficient I wish to reach. It's those on the fence. Those still smart enough to avoid the logical fallacy that is religion, are the ones worth helping.
Am I "smart enough to avoid the logical fallacy that is religion?" I'm 12 and I'm in geometry. I'm already atheist. I'm just saying it's ridiculous to deny the existence of Jesus as a scholar. Prove that loazi or Zhuangzi existed. They did. You know that, (Hopefully) and I know that. But there is no VISUAL PROOF. See what I mean?
"I ne'er claimed anything of the sort. I have simply proposed a theory that, to date, has stood the test of time, and all the attempts to prove it wrong. If you wish to try to prove me wrong... then I wish you luck."
Prove you wrong on what? Is it something mathematical or philosophical? Do reply to this.
No, what he is saying bear merit. The ON-PAPER reason that those countries told the masses (the propaganda) was that they would bring light into the darkness and bring them to God. That was the lie they told for moral support, the REAL reasonwas because they wanted and needed land, money and power plain and simple. It is not ENTIRELY secular nor is it primarily religious. It was secular motives explained to the masses by way of a religious idea (propaganda just like in war times.)
I am a christian, and I am elling you that the Israelites killed many people because God told them to so that they may inherit the promise land. That was thousands of year ago however.
"I am a christian, and I am elling you that the Israelites killed many people because God told them to so that they may inherit the promise land. That was thousands of year ago however. There is a hell."
More crap from that fiction book written by, not 1, not 2, hell not even 3 people... no indeed... this piece of gosef was written by, at least, 4 people.
4, very human, authors.
You're a fool if you think I'll take the word of medieval idiots over modern science.
humans are not the only animals that have fights with their own species... infact I can't think of many animals which DON'T have violence between members of their species. I doubt that human violence is any kind of a hunter-gatherer continuation. We've just learned to incorporate with one another to work jobs and receive a paycheck instead of going solo.
"humans are not the only animals that have fights with their own species... infact I can't think of many animals which DON'T have violence between members of their species"
Agreed.
We are, however, the only species that has wars.
"I doubt that human violence is any kind of a hunter-gatherer continuation."
You'd be wrong there. We fight for the same reasons our ancestors did... we just do it on a more vast scale.
You have become my hero

I WANT EVERYONE ON EARTH to KNOW the TRUTH about the Unforgivable Sin, which is Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit: It's PERFECTLY FALSE.
I'll PROVE IT.
In John 20:21, 23, our dearly beloved Jesus Christ our savior CLEARLY says this:
If you FORGIVE the sins of ANY, they are FORGIVEN; if you RETAIN the sins of ANY, they are RETAINED.
If all of you religious hypocrites completely deny, LOOK IT UP YOUR SINFUL SELVES.
I hope to the good lord with all my heart that this greatly helps.
God Bless

Your life is swift. In fact you won't remember this time in your afterlife. I don't want to preach at anyone. And you don't HAVE to listen. But the afterlife lasts an eternity. No matter where you go it lasts FOREVER. I would rather care about my eternity than the years i have on earth. I also want to show that the 666 you have in your name is the mark of the beast in revelation. It symbolizes the anti christ. So you believe there IS an anti christ? if so that means you must believe a Christ...

@bobadork Why hasn't the catholic church excommunicated him? They still accept him as a catholic. Just answer 1 question, does the catholic church deny Hitler is a loyal follower?
alienlifeform11 10 months ago
@alienlifeform11 the catholic church has as much to do with real christianity as judaism does with islam. Catholics aren't christians. plain and simple. ever since they burnt people at the stake for not swallowing that the eucharist was real human flesh. Fox's book of martyrs goes into how the popes of thier times were called the antichrist since they elevate themselves above God's law. You can bash catholicism all day and night and I'd prob agree w 99%.

Remember that science and human nature have brought us nice things like chemical, nuclear, and biological weapons. These inventions are the ones that will truly define human suffering and loss over the next millennium. Forgive the uneducated for believing in such simplistic views of something "greater than ourselves". People will find other ways to exert control with new ideologies long into the foreseeable future, many of them based on new discoveries in science and technology.
ronbobius 1 year ago
Evil will always be there, even when "religion" is long gone. Aggression is a survival trait that has helped us be the "fittest" in Darwin's epic game of evolution. Human beings will always find a way to express their anger, as it is a part of our genetic makeup. You can clearly see anger in other animals, and until we don't need it to compete amongst ourselves, it will remain. Religion is not the real issue. What we are really talking about here is education, and brainwashing.
ronbobius 1 year ago 2
Nothing exploded out of nothing, creating space, creating the Earth, somehow creating humans, yet scientists can not explain this thoroughly. I am a Christian, and at least we have answers. The war religion has brought was brought upon by ourselves. God gave us free will, and we chose to create evil. Notice that WE created war. Not God. I respect your opinion, but sometimes you have to look deeper and be more open-minded. Just think about how the Universe started if there was no God.

Just something to throw into your statement, if you have studied history you would note that Jesus Christ the man did in fact exist. It's the belief that he is the sun of god that you deny. Just to straighten that out.
FairyTrouble 2 years ago
Prove that Jesus actually existed. There were lots of people named Jesus. To say, "Jesus existed" you must prove the miracles. Good luck. If you have any evidence exclusive of of the Bible, I'd like to see it. I do not accept the Bible as evidence, because of when and how it was written.
stevenweir76 2 years ago
I did not say he was the son of god or able to perform miracles, but there are historical records of a man named Jesus Christ, who claimed to be the son of god and was crucified along with 2 thieves for heresy. The man existed. I personally do not believe him to be the son of god. I believe he was a man. Even the Jews admit he existed. It's the idea that he was "holy" that is debated.
FairyTrouble 2 years ago
Where is the evidence of the crucifixion? The only mention of the word Christ in contemporary history is in two roman writings, no mention of the name Jesus. The only documents said to be evidence for Jesus were proven a forgery. There is no strong evidence of this ever taking place and it is a direct plagiarism of Egyptian mythology as for the crucifixion and the theives. I know there were no miracles, but there is more counter evidence than evidence he even existed.
stevenweir76 2 years ago 2
Again I do not believe that Jesus Christ existed, the burden of proof is on you. Good luck with that.

religion isn't evil it's the people who manipulate it for their own agenda and that's the way it's always been. yes, these texts have resulted in many atrocious things, but they most certainly should not be disregarded. they hold secrets of ancient knowledge.
mclark5215 2 years ago
The secrets held are not miraculous however, I fail to see what we can learn from theology except how to fight against extreme forms of it.
stevenweir76 2 years ago
you obviously have a negative view of religion and that's pretty understandable but if you look from a historical view there's alot to be learned from it. I think most religions have just been badly misinterpreted.
mclark5215 2 years ago
There is no knowledge that is not power. Religion has taught me to be skeptical of anyone claiming to have the answers, regardless of context. Life is an individual thing and the meaning is what you make of it. There are lessons taught in the Bible I agree with and lessons taught that I don't, I only deny the miracles of the Bible, not the framework for discussion it provides. I just believe the book is over examined and mystified unnecessarily. Those who claim devine knowledge make me cringe.
stevenweir76 2 years ago
I think you might have misunderstood what i was saying. I wasn't talking about divine knowledge i was implying that if you take a good look you realize that our ancestors weren't as stupid as most people think. they just explained themselves in ways that people could relate at those times and it has often been taken literally or misinterpreted for the past thousand years or so.
mclark5215 2 years ago
So now it is time to move past that. People only understood fear and death apparently. The Bible is nothing more than a mix of positive and negative reinforcement of bronze age ideas. Very bad, very wrong ideas at that.

What are you talking about? This is about the pathetic need to think an "afterlife" is real. That is the very heart of Western Religion. Besides, I have not met a financially successful religion that is not also deeply dogmatic.
Corporations8MyBaby 2 years ago
That is the very heart of Western Religion but not all religion is western. You probably haven't, and neither have I but again, this is about a financially successful religion and not all religion. Were you trying to refute what I said? Because it doesn't really add up if you are.
knifesson 2 years ago
So then very sparsely populated religions, because they may be less dogmatic or non-dogmatic make this video we are watching "not about religion"... I think refuting is the wrong word, but perhaps eliciting clarification of terms is what was intended... which you have done.
Corporations8MyBaby 2 years ago
Yeah that's basically what I was trying to say in my first comment, just because the main religions we see are dogmatic in nature doesn't make all religion dogmatic.
knifesson 2 years ago

ZaoHuZhua 3 years ago
"Are you suggesting all of everybody's beliefs are wrong that "nothing" is a belief?"
Um... translation anyone?
"So how did the Big Bang Happen?"
We don't know yet.
Yet another of the differences between the wise and the fools.
The wise are content to wait for answers, the fools love to insist lack of evidence is evidence of design, it's simply not possible for the fools to be more wrong.
J6a6so6n 3 years ago
"How did it get from nothing to something?"
J6a6so6n 3 years ago
"And more importantly you would know religion has many truths to it if your such a historian. The Great Flood, Jesus, Muhammad so on."
'The Great Flood' could have been based off of any one of a thousand different floods. The problem is... there has never been a time in human history where the entire Earth was covered with water. Hence the flaw in that story (for those who take it literally).
J6a6so6n 3 years ago
As for 'Jesus', outside of the bible itself, there is *ZERO* evidence he ever existed. It's entirely possible the myth was based (and embellished) off of a single man, or many different men.
There's even doubt over the accounts of Mohammed's existance, since the earliest 'records' started over 150 years after his supposed death.

Do atheists believe in love? If you say yes, are you not a liar and a traitor to your own beliefs? One can not prove love, therefore it does not exist. This must be the position for an atheist as he or she does not accept God without proof from logic and reasoning. Please explain this.
smitterxnn 3 years ago
"Do atheists believe in love?"
J6a6so6n 3 years ago
This is the same nonsense as the 'you can't see the wind!' argument. We may not be able to see the wind directly... but we can observe it's effects (leaves moving, etc), and every human can feel the wind against their skin.
We can prove emotion... because we can observe the brain in action.
Watch this video for more info: watch?v=MW_65DdjdZ8
J6a6so6n 3 years ago
What you describe as observing the winds affects can also be done with God. This is implied reasoning, not proof. Why do you accept one thing on implication and not another?
smitterxnn 3 years ago
"What you describe as observing the winds affects can also be done with God."
Um... no it can't. The wind and it's effects are directly observable. The 'effects' of your 'god' are not.
"This is implied reasoning, not proof."
Empirical evidence backs up the implied reasoning.
There is NO empirical evidence for 'god'.
"Why do you accept one thing on implication and not another?"
I don't. There is empirical evidence for both wind and emotion. Yet, no such evidence exists for your god.
J6a6so6n 3 years ago
I have evidence of my God. Evidence comes from the Holy Spirit and only from the spirit. Man can not prove God as this would nullify his choice to love God.
smitterxnn 3 years ago
Without empirical evidence... there is no reason to believe.

What stimulates this chemical reaction in your brain? There must something that influences your brains chemicals to cause a reaction. Is this a "magical complexity" with no explaination. As a true atheist, you must reject this. Your arrogance and pride of knowledge defiles you and blinds you from true wisdom.
smitterxnn 3 years ago
"What stimulates this chemical reaction in your brain?"
Sight, touch, smell, even taste all play a role. The brain has been compared to a computer. In many ways, the brain IS a biological computer. It takes what it detects, through the senses, and give a result.
J6a6so6n 3 years ago
"There must something that influences your brains chemicals to cause a reaction. Is this a "magical complexity" with no explaination."
Nope, there is an explanation, just not the one your mind will accept. There is no magical complexity, just a sum result of the inputs the brain is fed.
"As a true atheist, you must reject this."
And reject science with it?
J6a6so6n 3 years ago

"Religion has not brought any conflict it is the stupidity, fear, and ignorance of others for anothers beliefs."
Exactly the sort of thing religion loves to promote.

lazyperfectionist1 3 years ago
"Religion is not the root of all evil. No one thing is the root of all evil. No one thing is the root of all anything."
Cause and Effect, Effect and Cause...
Which came first?
Fear, ignorance, and stupidity caused evil and religion. Conversely, religion allows all of these to continue to exist, without logical cause.
Now, both are so entwined, it's become impossible to separate.
"The time has come to burn the house of psychopaths, even if moderates refuse to leave said house."
J6a6so6n 3 years ago
"Fear, ignorance, and stupidity caused evil and religion. Conversely, religion allows all of these to continue to exist, without logical cause."
Surely, you are not under the impression that Religion is the ONLY thing which allows these to exist. Surely, you are not under the impression that getting rid of religion would get rid of injustice.
I would agree that copious injustice springs from religious sources, but also from nonreligious sources.
lazyperfectionist1 3 years ago
"Surely, you are not under the impression that getting rid of religion would get rid of injustice."
Of course not, but removing the bad influence will help us towards the greater good.
You have a group of psychopaths with influence over the moderates. Disperse the psychopaths and remove their influence can only help in the pursuit of utopia (not that that's even possible, but you get the metaphor, right?).
J6a6so6n 3 years ago
"I would agree that copious injustice springs from religious sources, but also from nonreligious sources. "
There is injustice from many aspects of the world, but the majority always seems to centre on religion.
Removing the source of most, *might* just bring the injustice of the world to a semi-manageable state.

"You said that you have studied the history of religion (pardon me for paraphrasing)."
Since you have to study the history of religion in order to study it's effects (my words in vid), I think your paraphrasing is easily forgiven. ;-)
"You don't need me to inform you on the speed with which a new superstition rapidly rises to power whenever an old one is dispatched."
Aye.

The dreamer's dream. ;-)

Follow me on this one.
Yes it is unforgiveable IF and only IF you do not repent of the lie/blasphemy said of the Holy Spirit.
To say Gods mercy/His Holy Spirit cant forgive me because my sins are too great. is a lie/blasphemy.
So it is WE who stop Gods Holy Spirit/mercy to forgive our sins, NOT God.
God sends no one to hell.
We can choose to follow Him/Love or choose to connect to darkness, (hatred, jealousy, revenge, malice, unforgiveness)
God created us in His own image/Love.

It is, indeed, forgivable? Do you realize what this must mean? It means that Mark 3:29 does not apply. I wonder what other verses of the Bible don't apply.

Religion is a vehicle we choose to follow Gods Greatest Law, - to love God with your whole heart, mind and all your strength.
Dont blame God because some use religion to hide behind their hatred & malice they have for others.
**Religion is NOT who we are. It is to be utilized in helping us grow in the image of our Creator/Jesus The Christ/Love.
Hell is real. Just google, Our Lady of Fatima shows 3 shepherd children hell.Or google, description of hell as shown to her by Our Lord

MonstreGothique 3 years ago
"Why not simply provide evidence for your own propositions?"
Because providing evidence requires actually googling this and filtering information for about 5 minutes or w/e. Basically, it's a huge pain int he ass.
Besides what percentage of scholars dispute that Jesus existed AT ALL? It seems to be pretty low on the all.

I didn't realize you would propose a theory as fact that you hadn't actually gathered evidence for in the first place. My mistake.
MonstreGothique 3 years ago
"Besides what percentage of scholars dispute that Jesus existed AT ALL? It seems to be pretty low on the all. "
Be it a scholar or an Italian chef, if there is no evidence, the case remains the same. Not that you research theories before arguing them, anyway.

Save your prayers for someone that cares.

No Way in hell.
chaoscontrot 3 years ago
"The very idea of macro evolution of the human species is so convoluted that I find it incredible."
How is it convoluted? Seems pretty straight-forward to the logical mind.
"but humans from an ape-like ancestor without genetic splicing from ET's or creation from a god? No Way in hell. "
Why one but not the other?
The evolutionary path between one form and the other is no more spectacular than that of the evolution of birds from reptiles.

Okay whoa, you seriously believe that Jesus is a fictional character with no legitimate record in history? Hahahahahahahaha WOW! I can respect jsut about everything else you said, at least take it with a grain of salt and try to understand what you are saying, but when you say something like "This historical person X never existed lololol" you pretty much destroy your ethos for that post man =/ what gave you that impression to begin with?
chaoscontrot 3 years ago
"Okay whoa, you seriously believe that Jesus is a fictional character with no legitimate record in history?"
There is no historical record of a man named 'Jesus Christ', outside of the bible... which cannot count as a scientific/historical document.
"but when you say something like "This historical person X never existed lololol" you pretty much destroy your ethos for that post man =/ what gave you that impression to begin with?"
The utter lack of evidence.
Provide evidence or STFU.
J6a6so6n 3 years ago
Peace.
MitchRulzWorld 3 years ago
good point.

"Whether or not you believe he is holy, Jesus was real. If you don't believe in something that's real, that's against science itself."
Umm... Evidence?
Where is the scientific evidence of a 'Jesus of Nazareth' or 'Jesus Christ'?
Archaeological evidence?
Historical documents (note: the bible does not count)?
"But, who takes advice from a 12-year-old right?"
Age is irrelevant as far as I'm concerned.
Intelligence is not a function of age, despite what many will have you believe.
J6a6so6n 3 years ago
Can you READ? there may be no VISUAL proof of Jesus, but think about how this "Fictional" character created a whole new generation of thought that was supposedly for the good will. Two religions would not base it off a fictional character. And again, you can live in your own little bubble and deny everything that religion was based off of, but that'd just be ignorant. Not everything requires evidence to be true. Prove that Alexander the great.
MitchRulzWorld 3 years ago
"there may be no VISUAL proof of Jesus, but think about how this "Fictional" character created a whole new generation of thought that was supposedly for the good will."
Much of what 'Jesus' supposedly 'created in thought' was already being taught by people like Confucius in Asia. Trade, even in those primitive times, was fairly active.
"Jesus'" 'teachings' could, very easily have come from the east via traders.
J6a6so6n 3 years ago
To assume that such teaching needs 'divine intervention', traps you in the same fallacy the idiotic religious right insists on.

MitchRulzWorld 3 years ago
"I don't accept the "burden of proof" concept."
Then you don't accept science/the scientific method.
In which case... you are beyond hope, with an IQ far too low to accept logic.
I don't debate the IQ deficient.
Grow a brain... or get lost.
J6a6so6n 3 years ago
and BTW surely a person with such a High IQ as yourself wouldn't be wasting his/her time debating religion of the internet would they? I like to talk about religion to learn other people's perspectives. If you don't remain open-minded, the only way you'll be able to learn is from science. Science is very useful, but you can only know it to a superficial point. So again, rather than thinking that you're so much smarter than everyone else, be open to other's POV. I'm atheist too, no need to argue
MitchRulzWorld 3 years ago
"and BTW surely a person with such a High IQ as yourself wouldn't be wasting his/her time debating religion of the internet would they?"
It's not the IQ deficient I wish to reach. It's those on the fence. Those still smart enough to avoid the logical fallacy that is religion, are the ones worth helping.
J6a6so6n 3 years ago
If mankind is to survive beyond the 21st century, mankind itself must change.
We can no longer afford to carry the dead weight of the IQ deficient.
I'll be dead before the issue comes to fore, but my children will have to deal with the fallout of mankind's reign of terror.
J6a6so6n 3 years ago

It was secular motives explained to the masses by way of a religious idea (propaganda just like in war times.)

humans are not the only animals that have fights with their own species... infact I can't think of many animals which DON'T have violence between members of their species. I doubt that human violence is any kind of a hunter-gatherer continuation. We've just learned to incorporate with one another to work jobs and receive a paycheck instead of going solo.

Agreed.

You'd be wrong there. We fight for the same reasons our ancestors did... we just do it on a more vast scale.
