Dude....this is genius! Just did this on a 2003 Bonneville with the regular 3800. Worked perfectly. The part was in stock at my local dealer and cost about $45 with tax. He quoted me nearly $600 for the entire pump assembly just as you found. Awesome info for sure! I bet that kit would work on almost any GM sender. Every one I've seen pretty much looks the same. Thanks a ton!
I have a 2002 Buick Lesabre Custom and mine is doing the same thing. It's a 3.8L Series 2 (Non-Supercharged Engine) and I have the same access fuel pump panel in the trunk of my car. I am planning on starting this project myself and buy this fuel level sensor on my own. I want to thank you for uploading this video and you deserve a great rating and nice feed back for your work. Great job. Now it's time to watch the other parts so I can learn something. :)
Wow...So, there is some major differences in between the super, and non supercharged versions of the 05 SE...Does yours have the series II 3800 engine? it looks 100% different.
It should be noted, 70,000 miles later, this is still working perfectly. When it hits the last bar on the gauge (end of the low section) it will take 17.0 gallons, meaning 1 gallon left.
just bought a 2002 buick the dealer says they fixed the gauge only had it 2 days but the digital gauge number goes crazy and the reg gauge doesnt seem correct i added 2 galons and i seemed to go up but for the most part it usually @ a half a tank the dealer said he put in a new fuel relay part ???/ any help would be great my reg gauge doesnt go crazy but the digital one goes from 123 to 132 and back down and so on he had the trunk open and was doin what your doin so i hope its ok
Hans, Thanks for posting this video.... bought the part on line $43.00, installed and cleaned up total time ... 40 minutes Fuel Guage works great. You da man..
Thanks for uploading this vid. Just completed changing out mine and the vid was the best help I could have possibly needed!!!
Note to others: The Bonne sometimes leaks into the trunk (other fixes available) and will rust the locking ring. WD40 it a couple of times and it will come loose. The Delco part# ACTR7(TR7), sells for like 8 bucks
Thank you Hans,it was like i did this before. I fixed it. The part # and everything was perfect . my 2000 bonneville is fixed, i now know how much gas i have. Sweet THANK YOU!!!
nice work i wish i would have found this a little sooner i just paid about a grand to get mine fixed. but mine was the pump it self. i see that you have a different kind of cold air intake. if you don't mind me asking have any pointers on what to buy. mines a 01 ssei as well. and by the way great good.
Hey, I just wanted to know that I stumbled upon your video while looking at fixes for my fuel gauge on my Oldsmobile Aurora 2001. Found this video, bought the part, swapped the arm, and now it works! Thanks!
Would this work on a Cadillac Seville STS? cause a lot of pieces look the same, and i know the bonneville and seville are similer. Also would any dealer have access to the required (cheap) part?
probably a certain year range it would work. since it works with the aurora, which has the northstar, it probably works for any northstar car. dont quote me for sure though!

@McBastard218 When this video was filmed, in 2008, the only source was the stealership.
