Then how come he is the one saving the war?

Originally, the plan to separate the worlds was a temporary stop-gap that would be reversed when Derris-Kharlan drew close enough in its orbit that they could snag some of its plentiful mana to germinate the Great Seed and save the world. This is why the Summon Spirits cooperated with Mithos. However, when the time came and Mithos et al went to germinate it, humans wanting to claim it for themselves came, killing Martel in the process, so Mithos snapped.

Poor mithos, he lost hope for humanity, and thought that lifeless beings were the best undiscriminatory choice.

But what is life, even with discrimination, without a soul? An empty excistance? I like this plot a lot!

BTW why is Kratos, yuan and mithos different fromt he other "empty" beings, and they arent "empty" as the fandom chapter claims?

@Kevassa02 Because unlike the other angels, they each wear a Rune Crest with their Cruxis Crystal. This allows them to keep their 'mind' while still being able to access the powers the Crystal provides them with. You can see it with Mithos in his Yggdrasill form, both Crest and Crystal are on 'display' so to speak
