Nigga... the word that symbolises 100+ years of suppression and slavery. The word King and Malcolm X struggled to get rid of. And now it's used like an every day thing.

I dont like to spam, but watch my channel MC Paci - ''War Against Ourselves''. I promise you I aint no radio bullshit.. Hip Hop isn't dead, its just many Emcee are unrecognized.
Black people fucked up when they start letting white people dip there hand into hip hop. hip hop isnt for white people. i dont understand how we accept whites in our culture but whites have yet to fully accept us. we are playing ourselves. i feel like us as a black community our settling with what the whites have given us.. which is basically, you niggas go make us rich go entertain.. shit is crazy whites dont care about us at all. none of em. they only think they do. and im not racist
Im white and bleed real hip hop, to me the word hip hop is about expressing pain through a movement and making you see the better way of life through it. I truly think if tupac was still alive today we wouldnt have this problem as bad as it is today.
Hip-Hop is Dead Because Today it is all about Making Money. So thes so called artists do whatever sells the most. All they talk about is how they have alot of money and shit. It use to be about bein the best rapper you can be. about tellin your story about you and your hood. and about getting the crowd to move to your flow. Hip-Hop is is still out there but there is no such thing as MainStream Hip-Hop anymore. and you will never hear hip-hop on the radio for a long time.
The day when noone can hold down a decent freestyle cypher/battle. The day noone appreciates graffitti & breaking in whole. & definetely the day noone ever wants to make or listen to mixtapes & let alone mix songs/records...that's when hip-hop dies. "Hip-hop" kids WERE artists if not in their lyrics/mixing then they're graf art or breaking techniques....Kids nowadays..umm lol, it's funny but i aint got nothing positive 2 say. So you tell me if it's dead.
this shouldnt be new to those who truly understand its culture. after all this isnt the first time the media has used hip hop as kind of a quick fad to suck everything out of it that it can. im gonna write this in all caps but HIP HOP IS NOT MUSIC. its not on the radio and its not underground rap. Its a culture that had its name perverted several times. Hip hop is for everyone but everyone isnt always for hip hop. Respect the 4 elements!! DJing, MCing, Graffiti art, and B-Boying. peace
hip hop is dead. the rappers today, might as well be pop stars. all they do is talk about women they fuck, how rich they are, and how "untouchable" they are. its been a while since a rapper has been original..its totally dead. u know when u have songs like blame it on the alcohol, and crank that come out.
no one rapper killed hip hop people been talkin bout money cars forever soulja boy didnt kill it dance songs been goin on 4ever its rappers bein orginal that killed hip hop after soulja boy came out now every week theres a diff dance song t-pain the autotune now everybody does it rappers dont do there own thing no more
Hip-hop as a culture is at a pretty low point right now, in reality it won't be dead because in my opinion I could say that bboying and REAL DJing are somewhat healthy, it's rare to find some real mc's and real writers nowadays though. Just remember to keep feeding people with knowledge people, it's the only way we can keep this intact. But music-wise, the real hip-hop is underground.
Gangsta Rap was so big that it spread through America, and created other gangsta rap subgenre, which the east coast and south put the flavor of Gangsta Rap with it. 2 live crew help pioneer the sexual side of the Hip Hop in my opinion, and rappers in the south started talking about pimping and HOing. And then you add all of that up to when white America started to accept hip hop more, then it became a more lucrative profession. That's why "Stanky Leg" is real hip hop to most mainstream listeners
Honestly I used to say hip hop was dead, but in all honesty there are so many subgenres of hip hop that it will never die. Commercial Hip hop that mainstream America embraces causes people to say hip hop is dead because of the, in my opinion, the weak marketing schemes that the higher ups in hip hop is promoting. As much as Gangsta Rap is a big part of the evolution of Hip hop in the late 80s early 90s, it also brought out the beginning of the violent stages of hip hop
I think hip hop is dead because of gang violence and rappers beefing with one other on youtube for no good reason. we the fans accept that. what happened to old school rap and having fun?
artists 2day killed hip hop by talking about money in every song they have and making buulshit dance songs. lil wayne is garbage by stealing o.g. rappers rhymes and all the rappers that starts their name wit 'lil' or 'young' killed it cause we all kno wat theyre gunna rap about: how much money they have, how "gangsta" they are, and how many girls they can pull.
@obig6983 hence the reason they make more money in one minute then you will in ten years, hate all you like but you'd do the same if you got paid big fuckin bucks for it
hip-hop music isnt dead its just underground and hip-hop culture is no wheir near dead, break dancing cant die because its clean its legal and people do it for no other reason then fun and graffiti has been underground and illegal since the day it started and i dont know about you but to me it seems to be gettin bigger by the second on top of that you cant fake your way through graffiti because if your not truely talented just like break dancing you simply WILL NOT make yourself a name
now what we need is a new old school rap and gangster and g-funk, not that pussy shit there is today. I don't know any new good rap songs I still listen to rap from 1980 to around 2000
What you gotta realize though, is that Hip-hop didn't start dying in the 2,000's...It started dying in the late 90's! Everytime Jay-Z put out a watered-down song, Everytime Puffy recorded ANYTHING, Mase, Even the stuff Eminem put out (rhyming every line the exact same way) helped to kill it. All these people complaining about southern artists, were the 1st 1's to go out & buy their albums(when you do that, the record companies think it's OK 2 put out crap music)! I could never stand that junk!
The underground is stil alive but people like lil lame , soulja boy etc. they Represent the contemporary black zombie murder music we are subjected to today
finally a person that believes lil wayne is garbage thought I was the only one. only fake ass thugs who only emulate and don't live it, and females like him
i also fuckin hate wen white dudes say the N-word, Im latino n i used to say dat shit but i stopped cuz i think dat word fuckin sux n im not black thus i have no right sayin dat word, so i stopped
lil wayne killed hip hop, he would have neva made it bac in 2000, for me hip hop died in 2005 cuz dats wen dat snap bullshit started then new rapper came along n killed it!
soulja boy got into studio cuz of his daddys connections.
its their fault if people listen to soulja boy and fiddy, dont blame the artists, blame their listeners for supportin them. and id say, those people who like soulja boy are a shame for real rappers, they should keep their hands out the game...
HipHop will never die it only died in the media. as leaveitplease said there are still so many great rappers even in the mainstream. look at releases 2008: The Game, Cube, GZA, Nas... so many more. then theres the underground, that will never die, dat keeps livin all time, cuz thats were hip hop started. so the idea of hiphop was puttin ya problems into words and turn it into music right ?? dats what underground rappers do.
dudes like soulja boy, they dont make the music cuz of passion...
what is on tv and shit isn't hip hop.out there are a lot of emcees that still keep The Move alive, with their thing.plus to that, there are a lot of European country's were HipHop just start to move,or is seriously moving if may i say, like Romania,France,GreatBritain,Italy, and many more...
hip hop will never die!!..just the shit u hear on radio is just what the record labels want u to hear, its for the kids thats why half of em now come with their own dance routine!!... and as long as u got real mc's like.. kweli, common, joell ortiz, mos def, guru,wu tang...etc etc...hip hop will never die
Hip-hop died when all you heard was one form of rap heard on the radio. There are folks who still expect skillz on the mic. Substance on the mic. I like fun rap like the next person. I jammed to the 2Live Crew, however, this wasn't the end all and be all of hip-hop. The radio/media forgot that point...
in my humble opinion it is the one sided coverage by the media that kills the culture. I mean of course are they giving the mass what it wants, but still it is pretty one dimensional. for every main stream artist out there come 1000s of underground mcees and djs that will never be on mtv or bet. and they are doing THEIR thing. people should do some research and see what else is going on...being open minded is hip hop...fuck da rest
your creation is tight, made me teary eyed cuz this bullsht crap on the media ain't hip hop. BET is trash. and Blacks need to be resurrected. as Erykah Badu said, "You don't have to believe everything you think. We've been programmed. Wake Up! We miss you."
Well yea, you are right for a part... I live in Holland, and still many people listen Hip-Hop here... And a few listen to the old school hip hop ( 1985-1995 )... at least i listen to it... I just love the old jams... but most of the hip-hop listeners are into that souljah boy crap and other crunk stuff...
when i said from all coasts i referred to the east coast, west coast , dirty south.....cuz people blame the south that are killin hip hop but no,all coasts are killin it.only jay z,nas, eminem, kane west and underground rappers are savin it.
when i said from all coasts i referred to the east coast, west coast , dirty south.....cuz people blame the south that are killin hip hop but no,all coasts are killin it.only jay z,nas, eminem, kane west and underground rappers are savin it.
Mainstream is dead but underground rap isnt. Check out these artists:Immortal Technique, Mystik Journeymen, Pigeon John, Sean Price, Braile, brother ali, killah priest, killarmy, Zion i, living legends, atmosphere,Andre nickatina, Brotha lynch hung, rass kass, royce da 5'9
it's all about money sex cars clothes diamonds and shit hip hop anint the same like it used to be hip hop was poetry now it's all about the latest dance the latest style we have most kids my age following the rap artist I mean hip hop got to commerical I mean it's cool and all but this is to far I mean it's cool having all that money but how long will it last when your fame only last for a year? soulja for example won't last for long trust me.
This video really proves something about hip hop changed into something else, no more classics were ever released since the 90s, no more pure hip hop sound, it must be reserected or it will turn into a new genre and it will be gone for good
hip hop is to general, ill say mainstream hip hop is dead, underground is where its at. The decline of true hip hop is due to money and the new youth, they dont care about lyrics anymore its all about a catchy hook and beat, nothing at all to think about. quoted by RZA from Wu-Tang Clan: "how can hip hop be dead if wu tang is forever"
Media took the "thug life" and stamped it on a lunch box to sell to kids...t.v rappers distorted everything that was made in the beginning and transformed it into a chain and girls oh yeah lots of cash. Real hip hop has feeling and emotion. Its just real. T.v rappers ain't real.
But what is a tv rapper in America (I'm not just assuming I checked)? I mean is that soulja boy dipshit or Will Smith (switch styled not summertime) or something else? We have a guy that is a symbol for tv rappers in the Netherlands Ali B (We also have a good normal hiphop culture based on PE, Run-Dmc etc. etc.).
and the only reason you hear about that stuff about hip-hop diein is cause too many people like g-unit, paul wall and other kinda bullshit money rappers
yall need to go out and listen to
Eazy-E, Pac, Dr.Dre, The Game, Nas, Eminem, Dj Quik, some xzibit, snoop dogg, Ice-T, Ice Cube, Mc Ren.
BEST VID ON YOUTUBE!!!IF ANYBUDDY DISAGREEZ>>>>>>FUCK U.......This is tha truest shit i've seen in a long time....Lets ressesatate hip hop!!!!!Word!!!!!!
wanna hear some good rap down load any t-nutty,x-raided,c-bo,mac dre, dre dog (andre nickatina),cougnut (I.M.P),brotha lynch cd's damn near all are nice
all these hiphop is dead vid's i seen on youtube should b called is mainstream hip hop dead? only artist i seen on these vids from west coast is tupac and snoop (i.m.o not my kinda rappers)i mean all guys u talk about are people on mtv and bet and radio maybee u guys should buy cd's other then just ones u c on those tv stations i think rap is fine but then again i dont listen to any of these trash rappers u guys have on all these vids discussing
Dont get fooled by these artist. Nas calls himself god's son. Jesus is god's son. Jesus died at 33. NAS turned 33 sept 06 released his album Hip Hop is dead Dec 06. You have to listen to Nas music DEEPLY to understand his philosophy of him being a prophet of hip hop music. Listen to song"NAS is Like" 2nd verse to get an idea. Before my numbers called History is made"..(made history 2001)"Soona or later we'll all see who the prophet is" Who is Nas with now? JayZ who calls himself God MC-Jayhova
Death Row and Bad Boy started the whole decline of Hip hop. Tupac loved to rap about shooting people, and Biggie loved to rap about gucci socks and eating fucking snails.
hip hop will never die it will always live on through those who reigned in the game noone will ever forget the pac's n big's n rakims's those r household names of ppl who where more than rapper eminem immortal technique raekwon papoose hip hop will live on through all these names and many more
Please... both of those songs lack in the creativity department, infact a two year old could have wrote those songs. Before you know it there will be songs about Top Ramen.
This is really emotional stuff. Seeing some of the true hip hop artists to what it is now really upseting to me. What can i say man i miss the old skool and true hip hop fans no what i mean LOL.
THANKYOU for making this video. It really just shows the FACTS! It touched almost all of my emotions, especially the part where it says "arrest black babies before they become criminals".
i luv hip hop but this is the truth.today people only care about makin a catchy song about bullshit rather than being a real artist and makin legit music on sum real talk.i put half the blame on these record labels 4 signing these fake ass rappers and giving them shine that they don't even deserve.
and i swear if i hear another snap song come out i'mma go crazy. what happened 2 legit music and real artists??

Snap music called hip hop cuz the record companies are now exploiting it in every song that comes out making the music redundant. We need a lyrical holocaust. Really.
for real, hip hop does feel dead but not quite yet. You know, it's like hanging on to false hope. There's no 2pac or joe buddens out there to clean up hip hop and put flavor back into lyrics instead of the same ol' bullshit. Lets just hope hip hop recovers.
I miss the old times. Stupid Hip Hop nowa days sucks.

i agree ,hip hop is still alive in Europe, at least in small countries where its not so cool to listen rap music.
r0nis 3 years ago
Well yea, you are right for a part... I live in Holland, and still many people listen Hip-Hop here... And a few listen to the old school hip hop ( 1985-1995 )... at least i listen to it... I just love the old jams... but most of the hip-hop listeners are into that souljah boy crap and other crunk stuff...

Why can't it be like it used to, as a channel to keep people from becoming violent instead of encouraging it.

TITISIMO25 4 years ago

Media took the "thug life" and stamped it on a lunch box to sell to kids...t.v rappers distorted everything that was made in the beginning and transformed it into a chain and girls oh yeah lots of cash. Real hip hop has feeling and emotion. Its just real. T.v rappers ain't real.

But what is a tv rapper in America (I'm not just assuming I checked)? I mean is that soulja boy dipshit or Will Smith (switch styled not summertime) or something else? We have a guy that is a symbol for tv rappers in the Netherlands Ali B (We also have a good normal hiphop culture based on PE, Run-Dmc etc. etc.).
TheRacistsMustDie 4 years ago
aight just like the game said
"hip hop aint dead,
it just took a couple of shots"
and the only reason you hear about that stuff about hip-hop diein is cause too many people like g-unit, paul wall and other kinda bullshit money rappers
yall need to go out and listen to
Eazy-E, Pac, Dr.Dre, The Game, Nas, Eminem, Dj Quik, some xzibit, snoop dogg, Ice-T, Ice Cube, Mc Ren.

Please... both of those songs lack in the creativity department, infact a two year old could have wrote those songs. Before you know it there will be songs about Top Ramen.

and i swear if i hear another snap song come out i'mma go crazy. what happened 2 legit music and real artists??

Snap music called hip hop cuz the record companies are now exploiting it in every song that comes out making the music redundant. We need a lyrical holocaust. Really.

for real, hip hop does feel dead but not quite yet. You know, it's like hanging on to false hope. There's no 2pac or joe buddens out there to clean up hip hop and put flavor back into lyrics instead of the same ol' bullshit. Lets just hope hip hop recovers.
