  • @MarineTuck Borla sounds about as good as it looks. If you paid $799 for that thing, I feel very sorry for you. I used to run a B&B Triflow catback ($999), and I can honestly say that the Magnaflow sounds almost identical, and the build quality was about the same.

  • @slowem1 That is correct, but the LS1 block is also a completely different design than an LT1 block.

  • @slowem1 You are correct, I see your question was already answered but more specifically the LT1 is more or less a standard small block Chevy (the coolant flow is different and a couple other things) were as the LS1 is an completely new design.

  • @vivala4141 Not really a club, but we usually get a group of 4-5 together and hunt rice and do car shows together in the summers. We aren't associated with the losers and ricers who hang out at Value City though. What do you drive? I've probably seen you around town.

  • @Zig0n Had a Black Cutlass nothing special, just sold my 24 valve cummins with 400-450 hp, now i have a 98 formula i just picked up before winter, only got to race a GSX and a 350z. Ive been looking for clubs and swap meets when i finally get her out of the garage for some summer crusin.

  • @SIKMACH1 ls1 is an aluminum block 346, lt1 is a cast iron block 350. ls motors are still being used today, ls1,2,3,4,6,7,9,A. your guess is good as mine as to what the numbers mean cuz 4 isnt faster than 3 or 2. ls motors also have a seperate coil for each spark plug and a plastic intake manifold. lt1/4/5s do have aluminum heads tho

  • @SIKMACH1 kingchriskong pretty much covered it, but the LT1 is essentially a very evolved 350, where the LS1 was pretty much designed from scratch. Hence why the LT1s are very raw engines, and the LS1 are very refined. Both are great motors though, just depends what you want.

  • @SIKMACH1 Plus the LT1 is an Iron block while the LS1 is an all aluminim block. The tone will sounds different between them. Plus I could be wrong but the firing order may be different as well.

  • Cars do that your reving it then letting off its got a dump of fuel that is rapping down and not being burnt. Now if it was at wide open throttle running down the track black smoking like a diesel there would be something really off with the too. and the Y cats are going to make a difference you car has just not been retuned after taking them off, or you just not pushing enough horse power for it to make a difference. On stock motor yes. On cams intake carb injectors headers, free is best.

  • @rocco23554346 Not all smoke, just badly tuned ones.. or ones that need tuned bad, like the one in the video.. The whole track is coated in black smoke every pass.. he'd gain 2 tenths easily with just a tune.

  • @civilwar51190 Ok, do you own one of these cars or something? Just a Y pipe won't cause that. I own a LS1 Camaro and mine has a off road Y pipe too with no 02 sensors and it doesn't do that! I have a vid of it with Borla exhaust bumping the limiter and it doesn't smoke at all! Like I said, it might have just needed to be Aired out. A tune was just a probable theory because a bad tune or no tune with mods can do that.

  • @AdrenalineJunky17... yea i own the LT1.. i was running at that time pretty much streight pipes ( loud mouth 1) which sucked as i run a magnaflow now with toned it down and it doesn't do that no more.. i mean i run really rich i am not going to lie it does.. but with just Intake and Exhaust .. i run low 13's at 106.. so idk i dont think i dont need a tune but it can allways help lmao

Having a car that doesn't smell like my lawn mower, absolutely zero rasp, and not sounding like a broken dump truck is worth it. So far, three of my friends have gone from offroad Y's, to buying catted Y's. I'll let that speak for itself.

  • @MrJasonz28 actually, that's false. The ls1 has the same or more torque at the wheels, its just a little higher in the rpm range where it peaks. The LT1 from the ass-meter seems torquier for lack of a better term, but its really not. The LS1 outperforms the LT1 in every single category, as it should. You're supposed to go forward, not backward. That's not taking away from the LT1 though, I own one and love them all the same.
