The electronic piano of this song kinda remind me of the movie Garden State, wherein at the funeral scene someone was playing a piano and some fat woman was singing. I don't know if it was the same song they were playing.
Great song (as others have said - maybe even better here than on the album). I had no idea these guys were so charming live - that looks like a fun show.
sorry took so long to respond.... yes he was an original member... awesome guy..... played guitar... Cary B. - drums - Tom D.- Bass and Kevin G.- vocals/guitar.......
At a show out here in SO-Cal a while back, they pulled a guy from the audience to play rhythm-guitar... He played it very well; too bad they didn't ask for a drummer fill-in..
i think how does your garden grow album is the best. i've been listing to it since i was 11-12 years old. everytime im in or out of love...most of the songs hit the spots.
btw..i hate the piano or organ sound in this version
Hah! The first girl I really had feelings for was my jr year of high school and this was our song. Don't know where she is now (lol) but hope she's doing well. Love BTE. Good post dude!
I love the piano. The first concert that I've ever been to was "bonne Fete" in downtown Baton Rouge (now the Shaw Center for the Arts). I was 16 years old, and Live Again the first song I heard. I have since been a diehard BTE fan.
Come to New Orleans and see these guys...next week 21, 22nd at house of blues...and the weekend before mardi gras they always put on a show....they are amazing live. Once you see them live, you'll be hooked...
Man, I just started putting the Deluxe album on in my car last week and it got me wanting to look 'em up on here. I'm so glad I found this! I don't know if I'd consider Garden to be their greatest album but this song is without a doubt spectacular. These guys never fail to put on a great live show!
damn it. his voice is natural. just like in the album. i love everysing off How Does your Garden Grow. but i dont know any songs before and after that album. can anyone recommend me any good songs?
This is a gem!! <3 <3 My favorite BTE song :) I remember it live, best show of the night, and at the time I didn't even really remember the song that well. Because, yeah, it's not that spectacular on the album.
I love this song. I like this version a lot better than the cd version. I thought it was way over produced....but here...you can hear him sing. Thanks.
heard this on pandora

I've always loved this song but thought it was so over produced on the cd. It sounds better a bit stripped down. Thanks for posting.

I would tell you to check out:
Desperately Wanting, Breathless, Our Finest Hour, Porcelain, Briefly, Our Last Night, and A Lifetime.
Not sure which CDs those are all from, but my iTunes says none of them are from How Does Your Garden Grow.
