  • Trudeau would be a great philosophy teacher ^_^

  • If only we could have another leader like this haha

  • fucking love this guy

  • THIS GUY WAS GOOD

  • Never use your own army against your people...this guy is a coward...and his son is in the same way...

  • @TroyMclore not even if people are being kidnapped and killed?

  • @TroyMclore Back then, a terrorist group called Frente de Liberation Quebecois, kidnapped a 2 polititian and Trudeau did the right thing. In that situation, forget all Human right and do what you thin is right. The FTQ are the real COWARDS.

  • @estesoyojajaja Front de Libération du Québec...I'm not agree with the FLQ at all, but I won't change my opinion about the army. And if Canada's debt is about 500 G today it's cause of this bastard of Trudeau. He didn't know anything about politic anyway but poeple loved him...and we stll have to pay for this asshole. When the pm can be easily violent with his own wife...he does not care about people. He does not care about anything.

  • @TroyMclore neither do I. I am kind more a Conservative guy.

  • @TroyMclore Why not? One of the many uses of our military is to defend the nation. Which is what Trudeau used it for. It was just a coincidence, in this case, that the threat that had to be defended against happened to come from within our borders instead of another country. A threat, also, that might've been a little too much for local law enforcement to handle safely.

  • I hate Trudeau but the reporter in this vid doesn't quite know what he's saying & is splitting hairs because of it.

The way Trudeau handled the FLQ kidnappings is the only thing I commend him for (Aside from not being another politically correct politician; iow "real"). However at the end of the day he made a mockery of Canada & IMO, is the reason the world stopped taking us seriously!

  • On remet ça mon Tipet ?

  • We're using some of the army as "Peace Agents", yeah, thats it, "Peace Agents" (in my best James Cagney voice)

  • Comment removed

  • If Harper ever enacted the war measures act he would be hated beyond words... but Trudeau got away from it.

  • @rebelyell1983x I'm sure the liberal media would try to make us hate him for it. Nothing sticks to Harper, and the fact he won a majority kinda proves it to me. Wouldn't be the hugest stretch of the imagination if he did.

  • dont like his politics, but I gotta say trudeau seems like a real dude, as in not a politically correct douche politican like say dalton mcguinty

  • Trudeau was the best Prime Minister ever. He was such a troll. We need someone like him again, hopefully Justin is like his father.

  • Trudeau was a terrible human being, and a terrible prime minister on top of that, he ruined Canada, and our MultiCultural society is going to destroy the very society that we have fought for over and over again.Muslims want to take over the world It states that in the Qur'an and I just want to thank him and all liberals formaking our country a place where gays are stoned to death etc., for rewarding lazy people for doing nothing and naturally for filling our country with more communists

    Merci :)

  • @Raelidragan ...... This literally makes no sense. Your conclusions are uninformed and unintelligent. Go back to school.

  • Trudeau is a beast.

  • at 4:50 does Trudeau say "shit"?

  • NOW THATS A BODDMON!

  • our best Prime Ministers were all Quebecois/French Canadian

  • @WinkyMaeve very true

  • This guy put Canada into so much debt.

  • @colinpetersofficial no the crazy qubecers did

  • Go Trudeau YAY!

  • Pierre Trudeau "well we got a big army"

Not really because your cuts to their spending you dimwit

  • @Renegade23456 He meant a big enough Army to protect all the cabinet ministers and diplomats... which wouldn't take a very big force...

  • Man, this guy was such a boss.

  • @VarunWasHere No not really.

  • @cory2146 what seems to be the matter?

  • Trudeau was a Habs fan, but he also liked the Leafs.

  • One of the most important moments in Canadian history!

    1970 FLQ crisis.

  • Typical power-obsessed facist asshole. Liberals hate humanity and think they can legislate everyone and everything to jump at their command. Guess what asshole, the Liberals are like yesterdays dinner - shit down the toilet never to be seen again. Thanks to el shit-head himself, Iggy, the Liberals are extinct. Democracy does work.

  • @VeryHugeAss You don't know what you're talking about. Trudeau did what he had to do to put down the FLQ, they were Canadian terrorists by their very definition.

Also, the Liberal party is on the upswing across the board ever since Jack Layton passed. You are delusional. We need the Liberal party. We need compromise.

  • @Lumberjack12321 no. We NEED ppl like Trudeau and Layton. They're the real party !

  • @DOWSOE not layton, don't even THINK about equating trudeau with layton...

  • Comment removed

  • @Freethinker12341 stop with the semantics, you know what I'm getting at ! Honest, good ppl like Trudeau who know what the hell they're doing !

  • @DOWSOE forgive me, i'm not exactly a Layton fan...

  • @Lumberjack12321 Sorry, but you people also seem to think you speak on behalf of Canada. Harper gets more votes every election that the opposition calls. Like it or not, his popularity has grown every election, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. People like what he's doing with military spending, getting rid of the gun registry, protecting the arctic, etc.

  • Comment removed

  • @colinpetersofficial Absolutly no one voted for HAARPer.. not a single vote could i confirm..it was a fixed election which is typical for all elections where american special interest and big business is concerned.

  • @Lumberjack12321. would u be comfortable if harper said "just watch me" or is it only ok when a liberal does it?

  • @tonygmilan7 If there were people blowing up mailboxes and abducting members of parliament I would agree to using the War Measures Act again. That shit can't happen here. We're better than that.

  • @tonygmilan7 i'm pretty sure it is only ok when a liberal does it. moron. No, its better when a fascist like harper does it.

  • @TrollOvGrimness. im saying be against it when both liberals and conservatives do this kind of fascist shit faggot. now go kill yourself.

  • @Lumberjack12321 we dont need another corrupt liberal rubber stamp government.

  • faggot

biggerst trators qc have ever seen

  • @VeryHugeAss huh??!?!

  • @VeryHugeAss Oh, why don't you fuck off!!! Trudeau was not gay. Sorry! No, he wasn't. Educated?? Yes. Intelligent? Off the charts! Urbane? Most certainly! What are you? Some fucking idiot who likes denigrating someone who you would never be able to understand as a result of your ignorance, your cultural isolation, and by the fact that you feel threatened by a man who was a cultural icon. Just shut the fuck-up, you toad.

  • @lougalou04 What's wrong with Trudeau being gay? Why do you hate homosexuals? Are you a bigot or a Nazi? Trudeau was proud of his gayness.

  • @VeryHugeAss Oh fuck off!!! Do you come from Montreal??? I've seen him in restaurants and spoken to him. I have friends who also went to his house. What the fuck do you know living in Morroco. If you know nothing about a topic, don't make these wild conjectures.

  • hes a shame for his nation

  • @juliewtc No he's no!!! He makes me proud to be Canadian, I admire his service and his policy, a very unique and genuine man, god bless him...

  • @KGS011 by his nation i mean QUEBEC.

  • @juliewtc He is a French CANADIAN!!!

  • I. fucking. love. this. guy.

  • @LordOfNothingreally Me too:)

  • Thank God the Liberals are now basically extinct in Ottawa. Their homosexual policies finally caught up to them. Democracy does work.

  • @VeryHugeAss it's hard to take anything you say seriously with that username :P

  • @neonvalleystreets Yuo should see me naked, then you would now what serious was all about.

  • @VeryHugeAss What in the world are you talking about? Pierre Elliot Trudeau is the greatest leader Canada has ever seen. In a world full of hate, full of paranoia, he was the single voice of lucidity. Homophobic piece of shit, I hope you're happy, Harper's going to undo all his work anyways.

  • @HumanWeasel The greatest leader in Canada, Pierre Trudeau? You can't be serious. A world full of hate and paranoia? Which world are you living in? I see good things in my life. Stop being no negative and narrow-minded.

  • @VeryHugeAss Are you an idiot, or just plain oblivious? Have you ever heard of the cold war? Dumbass.

  • @VeryHugeAss Lol.

  • STOP THAT TYPE OF TALK CANADA IS THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD I LOVE ALL PARTS OF CANADA UR TALK IS DAGEROUS TO THE NATION NOW STOP IT

  • "What were your friends doing"

    "Taking pictures"

    "Ah haa..."

    LOL

  • never liked that man, he served in the Canadian army during world war two and was a zombie refused to go over seas and fight! he was a coward!

  • @pteJames Just because someone doesn't advocate for war, doesn't make them a coward.

Not everyone has the same views, and even people who go to war, just wish it wouldn't happen.

I don't see how having pacifist views, or just choosing not to go to war, make's men cowards.

  • @Moirah148 any one who would join the Army which is time of war and then refuse to go to war is a coward, he joined to look the part but when push came to shove he did not do his job that he was trained to do. thats a coward

  • @pteJames You're so brave typing on your keyboard. Have YOU ever been in a war ?

  • @EightySix22 yes have you?

  • booyah oh snaps! Trudeau just reminded that journalist with his last words "just watch me" that he is the leader of this country and he can make those decisions all while the other guy us but a lowly critic.

  • We should preserve his DNA for a long line of genetically cloned super geniuses that will debate people like Harper under the table for all time.

  • I would have voted for this man.

  • You'd never see Stephen Harpy answering a reporter like this without notes.

  • They killed Pierre Laporte following the deployement of the army, quite an important fact. Would he had been killed if the army had never been deployed? Who knows, there had been no direct murder before that.

Whenever such violence arises, the police is fully equipped to deal with. I honestly do not understand why anyone would believe sending in the army under the war or measures act is a good idea... unless we're at war. Half a dozen kidnappers and mailbox bombers isn't it.

  • @Vineon Yeah, blame the representatives of the Law for the actions of a gang of murderous thugs, right! Following that logic, we should have no Police forces, so criminals wouldn't be forced to commit crimes... The FLQ were terrorists and instead of being sent to Cuba, they should have been hanged for insurrection.

  • @jellyfishattack

I don't think you're mentally fit to read and understand properly to make an intelligent retort. I do blame the "representatives of the Law" as you call them for using the War Measures Act and suspend the liberties of an entire population which led to numerous hundreds of innocents put into jail.

The police was and had always been the best suited to do the job. They didn't need to send in the army and they certainly didn't need to suspend liberties.

  • @Vineon but it worked . police would not have worked .

  • @TrollOvGrimness

You're kidding I assume. The murder happened after the army's deployement and likely as a result.

  • @jellyfishattack The FLQ never targeted people until the October Crisis, and even then as far as I know, it was just a small group working on their own. The FLQ's main target was symbols of British colonilaism in Quebec. The smart thing was done when the Bloc were made an official part. It made the violence unnecessary since the spereratists got a political voice

  • Pierre Trudeau 2015!!!!!!!

  • This man was Canada's equivalent of Abe Lincoln... he did not take anyone's shit, he fought for what was right, and, like a true leader, he was willing to make even the toughest of choices for his country's safety, without thinking twice. Why can't today's politicians be like him? Instead we are now stuck with a bunch of corrupt, pretentious, ass-kissing, pseudo-intellectual pussies who only see us as votes and dollar signs...

    Vive Trudeau!

  • Really? Who could NOT love Trudeau??? HE had a pair, was articulate, respected across the world. Those who did not like him, at LEAST, respected him!! I'm not a Liberal, either, but if he was the candidate for the MONKEY party, I'd vote him in!!

  • @ralphyization Tell that to the Albertans and the National Energy Program of 1980. Basically told the West to fuck off.

  • @Canadianbassist I Gotta admit, I don't know all the intracacies of a lot of policies of the era. But, he WAS pretty COOL! The pirouette behind the Queen, as an example. Last I heard, though, Alberta was doing just fine. I h ave 4 brother-in-laws out there. Every province gets their turn.

  • In a democratic society we must sometimes give up those rights and values to keep civil order and public peace. Thats just common sense. Theres people in everywhere in the world that are not looking to reason and debate about their actions. Just like the kidnappers. That's when actions like this must be done. Canada is a strong and free country. But when your too scared to walk out of your house cause your scared you might get kidnapped and killed that doesnt sound strong and free.

  • @urfaceismessed

No, in a civilized country, you do not suspend the rights of an entire population for the actions of a very small group of individuals. You have the police force for this kind of job.

  • @Vineon The police as shown was not enough to scare these people from what they were doing. The terrorist expected that the police were going to be after them. So it wouldn't of stopped them from what they were doing. When they turn on the news and see the government has sent the military to protect our citizens then they see that what they are doing is completely unacceptable and will not be taken lightly. Besides I don't see the fear of military being around. There not just some militia

  • @urfaceismessed

    Oh please.

The police, it could be argued, never scares anyone that has commited a crime. That doesn't mean they aren't the best equipped to deal with it and it and in this case, they were.

Sending in the army was entirely unnecessary and led to many innocents ending up in jail. You don't send in the army for a handful of criminals.

You should see the fear of military use when it implies the suspension of basic rights for everybody.

  • @Vineon holding a gun. There professionals trained to protect and serve. As long as your not wanting to harm anyone you shouldn't have anything to fear from. They were sent there to protect you. In a civilized country we usually don't have groups terrorizing people and killing them for political reasons.

  • @urfaceismessed

In cases like this one, the army aren't trained to deal with the situation as well as policemen and their detective corps are. You don't need tanks to arrest 4 people that have kidnapped someone. What you need is intelligent people able to properly investigate and arrest the culprits and you don't do that by randomly arresting up to 500 people after suspending their rights.

You talk about civilized countries, Canada didn't act like one on that day.

  • @Vineon Yes but I am sure bringing in the army scared the living hell out of the criminals and it obviously did cause there crimes stopped pretty quickly. Canada is beautiful and free nation and when people like that challenge it with violence like that the time for democratic ways must be put aside for a while.

  • @urfaceismessed

Biker gangs are much more numerous and much more dangerous. The police deals with them, nobody would think it is a good idea to send in the army after suspending an entire population's liberties. Such an act is not synonymous with a 'free nation'. A 'free' nation doesn't suspend liberties.

  • @Vineon Bikers don't kidnap politicians you asshole. Don't make a point unless it's not stupid please.

  • @anonymouslol

    Listen child,

Leave aside your barely hidden admiration for fascism and realize that biker gangs are more organised, more dangerous and are responsible for way more many murders than ever did the FLQ whose only cold-blooded murder happened AFTER the army was sent in.

If the police is equipped to deal with bikers, they certainly are to deal with small cells of barely organised 'terrorist' anarchists.

But that, is something you're not interested to understand.

  • @Vineon Listen you ignorant old shit, what have you done to help anything other than your biased garbage that has solved nothing ever. Have fun having animosity over a man who has done more for us than... any other leader. Again Bikers don't kidnap politicians. I understand you're pretty closed minded, and that's all I need to know. I'm glad I don't know people like yourself as you're a detriment to my home. I'd imagine the FLQ were STOPPED from doing worse hence "validating" your bias.

  • @Vineon Additionally most bikers usually kill... other bikers and crackheads and dealers...yes they're criminals in many ways but a foolish comparison with zero basis. They're not terrorists in comparison to the FLQ so your point is... absolutely nonexistent, as you're comparing apples to oranges. In conclusion I'd bet you vote conservative.

  • @urfaceismessed

The gvt of Canada simply enjoyed putting the separatists to their place, regardless that the FLQ was a very marginal part of the movement. They lied about their numbers so that sending in the army would seem more acceptable. They inflated the number of 'terrorists' twentyfold and made sure the FLQ would survive even after its natural death to keep a population under fear. The RCMP had its own agents write communicates and bombing things in the name of the FLQ.

  • I absolutely LOVE Trudeau, he was an awesome fellow and strong leader.

  • And in this video trudeau actualy looks like a fashist, if police state are used in a wrong way it mean you are fucked.

Everytime a door is opened in politic it open 2 thing a bad side and a good side and we always forget the bad one.

The more you are 'PROTECTED' by you're gouvernement the more you lose freedom in the process.

  • @QCBEC In this one case, he had to do what he had to do. The FLQ left him with no other option. It was a shame for innocent Quebecois, but they must have been feeling as insecure as the rest of Canada did. P.S. We DO love Quebec! Don't let anyone tell you that the rest of Canada doesn't! We do. We are even a little jealous of your unique culture and how you manage to preserve it, while we in Ontario, at least, must 'embrace' multiculturalism! I want to move to Quebec sometimes! :D

  • I remember this reporter, he was a Tory. Figures

  • I remember why I had a huge crush on him when I was a kid!! And I'm only 46! HE DID have charm, poise, and Je ne se quois!!!

  • @ralphyization He is a good 2 face and you woman love that?

  • The greatest prime minister we have had in my opinion.

  • What happened to the CBC's objectivity? This is real journalism.

  • He was a Bilderburg member. My opinion changed when I discovered and researched this fact.

  • @canadakim1 .........same here. ANd that was back in the day when the Bilderberg Group was still considered to be a conspiracy theory. He was also a Jesuit, and those ones have a very black past too.

  • @canadakim1 How? if he was a friend of castro.

    Castro hated bilderburg.

  • @QCBEC Trudeau kept a peaceful relationship with Castro because he obviously didn't want Canada to be a target. He didn't want communist countries to think "Canada is USA's neighbour, hmm, target as well?"

  • @Freethinker12341 And how does this make sense?

Canada be target of what? We were neutral and of what i know trudeau wasnt communist + Bilderberg are anti communist in some way because bilgerbeg are mostly industrialist you funny one.

  • @QCBEC ....target of Soviets and Cubans, etc during cold war

  • @Freethinker12341 Still doesnt sense to me sorry there no real conflict here actualy at a part they thought québec was related with the soviet.

All i can say about trudeau is that he was mysterious and when you look at him when he talk, if you know anything about Physical body language, you know there something weird with him.

And you US wasnt target..they wanted to gain back control of what belonged to them and get rid of american industrial that were exploiting there country.

  • @Freethinker12341 And if you rely on media for you're info then i am sorry but its not reliable anymore.

  • @QCBEC why not? the media is completely private...

and you have dozens of sources to choose from....

    Left Wing Biased: Toronto Star

Right Wing Biased: Toronto SUN, National Post, Sun News, CNN, CFRB

    Liberal: Metro, Young Turks

    Unslanted/Balanced: Globe and Mail, CTV

If you read all of them a little bit, you're bound to have some margin of accuracy...

  • I like his verbal control while under fire, Trudeau 1 Journalist 0.

  • Man had some balls...

  • nwo

  • I am Russian and I can honestly say I would let Trudeau run my country ever day. Be happy Canada that you had one of the world's greatest leaders

  • I don't wanna brag, but my dad was friends with Trudeau's butcher. He gave him all his roast beef, sirloin, turkey, lamb chops, ham, etc. Trudeau had good taste in meats and deli.

Trudeau = full of win.

  • Trudeau was the last Prime Minister Canada had, the others were just managers

  • Best Prime Minister...ever..........

  • The Liberals need another Trudeau. I'm not talking about his son. I'm talking about someone who has a kick ass attitude!

  • @sansam25 That would be Bob Rae.

  • @margretacarr LOL

  • @pitchingwedge1 Hey hey hey now!

Remember we're in this together, no need to hate each other, not everyone in Quebec wants Independence!

Don't you think it's better to have 2 official language rather than 1? You see, we can't really be separated, Canadian culture and history is comprised of both the British AND French settlers who lived on these lands centuries ago. As it is before, and still is today, we still have difficulty being together

  • @pitchingwedge1 (follow-up) Yes I know Quebec French speaking people can sometimes get really annoying, but remember comrade we're not all like that! Also know that Canada is a mix of both culture, you cannot just say that it is English, as a matter of fact, the term Canadian use to denote French settlers in ''Nouvelle-France''!

I hope you get what I mean, instead of hating each other we should work towards friendship and association!

And before you say anything, I'm Chinese-Canadian

  • @lubi125 French sppeaking people can get annoying.

No people can get annoying the language you speak mean shit.

  • @pitchingwedge1 why am i not surprised that a guy like you subscribes to the 9/11 truther shit, grow out of puberty mate

  • @ziomany OK go ahead and put all you'r insecurities about "conspiracy theories on me. Why am I not surprised that an idiot like you uses off topic missdirection . Cause thats what people like you do. You try to discredit the person instead of the topic itself. Try growing up yourself .......mate!

  • @pitchingwedge1 youre telling me to grow up but here you are in 2011 making biggoted comments about founding peoples and trying to use childish insults against them.

it says alot about your character, then i saw the fact that youre subscribed to 9/11 truther shit which is pseudo-scientist bullshit based on zetatalk cokeheads.

i discredit the person and the topic he discusses and use other topics the person subscribes to as a reference point for his/her obvious stupidity

  • @ziomany WTF did the french ever do for Canada? Come on educate me smart guy.....uhhh FA thats what they did. Founding members my ass. The fuckin Natives were founding members dipshit.

Calling people that question "the official story" coke heads? Thats really mature mr im so fuckin mature. Dude calling people you dont know "stupid" is dissmisive and tells alot about YOUR character. Maybe when you grow up and pull your head out of your ass you will realize that......mate

  • Love him or hate him the man had the cojones not to take crap from any one body or group. If you got into his face and said "FU" he'd calmly look back at you and give the proverbial "FU" right back ...some call it arrogance or egotism band so be it, I think otherwise. This DOES NOT justify any of his political actions he had during his PM reign but what I'm saying is I do not know many PM's from any era except perhaps Sir John A - Deifenbaker - Chretien

  • @YottaPixel I agree for Trudeau, but slightly disagree about King... I think Lester Pearson did a better job for Canada... :)

  • a great man!

  • @kendykaramel tu dis n'importe quoi...
