  • GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Love Dan LOVE the song, BUT watching these hired hands go through the motions of copy and paste solos was painful and killed the spirit of the moment

  • @bobthwart You're stupid. Over half of these guys were on the original cut of this song. Ron Stewart interpreted his own banjo solo, and Justin Moses is no Alison but does well in his own right. The rest cut the song. Learn facts

  • Excellence

  • Justin Moses is the most underrated musician in bluegrass. I have never heard one of his breaks (on four different instruments) that isn't outstanding. Listen to that fiddle...Mash it.

  • dude...no doubt that ron stewart is great. But alison brown is a flipping monster on the five string. youve clearly shown that you are not worthy of listening to either!

  • fredelkamp...thx for posting the one four five notation in the description...makes playing it so much easier! Wish everyone would do that!

  • Good song. I love the Birchmere. It's one of the legendary venues of bluegrass music (and music in general). Any of you that find yourself in the Washington DC area you should definitely check out a show there.

  • Is that Adam Steffey on mandolin?? This group sounds great ;)

  • yes sirrrr that's Steff, he's the man!

  • Thanks for posting!

Dan is the BEST on this song -- its made for him. Only Man of Constant Sorrow is better for him.

He can cut steel with his voice -- it raises the hair on the back of my neck.

I'm really glad he has his own band -- its time for him to shine his own light. AK and Union Station have moved on. Go Dan!

  • Four of my favorite Bluegrass pickers ,pickin' one of my favorite tunes.

    I Like it. Oh yeah!

  • This is one of my favorite songs ever!! I love Dan Tyminski!

  • ron steward drives the crap outta that banjo

  • RON BLOCK IS BETTER

  • Agreed. Ron Block's banjo has a lot better tone to it too.

  • because youtube portrays tone just so good.

uh, Ron Stewart playes a Yates banjo...they've got enough "tone" to blow many other makes away. until you play one you can't understand. Huber's gonna have to step up his game.

  • oh come on don't start this stuff, it ain't a matter of so and so is better....There are just few people who play like ron block, he has a very specific style, and it all depends on what you like.

  • There's no way you can compare the two. Ron Block plays like Ron Block and Ron Stewart plays like Ron Stewart. Stewart is probably the overall better musician, Ron Block a better song writer. At this level it isn't a matter of better, it's just taste.

  • @bjrpkr I agree. Ron may be the greatest overall bluegrass musician of all time

  • It is Alison Krauss yes they sound great but Alison with that beautiful angel voice there is nothing like it. :D

  • now thats a band that i would really enjoy jamming with :) even though i got to jamm with ron early in the summer of 2007

  • i wish you could hear the damn bass.... listen to the beat push by the steffey chop..

  • Allison is good, but I actually prefer when Dan fronts his own band. This is DAMN good!

  • Allison who??? Naw you guy's are great!

  • can you say SON!

  • Absolutely great! Super arrangement great feeling with the instrumental support.
