Despite the initial contradiction in the creativity definition (new but not NEW new), great video -- contra Durkheim, I wonder if he's taken to his failed arch-nemesis, Gabriel Tarde, who was huge on creativity and inventive action coming out of interaction through the 3 laws of society: repetition, opposition, and adaptation.

How would the genius of certain singer/songwriters be explained.. I get that there's something like Group Genius, but I think that genius can also be found within the conversation within one's mind.

Didn't forget, we have a lot of obligations to maintain for not getting paid, this stuff cuts into our school devotion self sometimes. And there are certain interviews/conversations that have been waiting for a long time. We might be able to get some more of these youtubers into their own conversation and we might not, Its about conserving physical and psychic energy and realizing i only have so much. But regardless thanks for viewing and staying connected.

I love this kind of psychological stuff... A problem though, with this kind of personal conglomeration of ideas, is that you can find like 5 books in B&N on psychology,that say pretty much the same thing, just in different words. Maybe slightly different, but nothing staggeringly original.

I think that psychology thinkers who write books have such a wealth of material to mesh together and make their own. Like a subjective rumination in the form of a book. It's interesting though.

Interesting.  I'm thinking of Halberstam's The Best and the Brightest. I was a student of Walt Rostow's back in the day. Fascinating how a group of highly intelligent people could have talked one another into something like the Bay of Pigs, or the Vietnam War. It's a turnaround on the way we think about collaboration, that groups of smart people might actually make decisions collectively that are worse than any of them would have made individually.

My opinion: a 'solitary' creativity is not completely a myth. Seeing that a solitary human being is at the same time a whole that is composed of collectives, both are true.
