My two cents...Russ and Rose are virtually the same type of player, which is probably because they train together. I think rose is a bit better at this stage, but Russ has a slower development cuz he's not "the guy" on OKC. They are both not proto-typical PGs and are total beasts. But it's obvious that if they were better shooters, they'd dominate with more ease. Also, If either team ran more pick and rolls, they'd be a nightmare.

It really pissed me off when they rescinded that Chandler trade last year. They said they were worried about his bad toe and the possible lingering effects, but I think that's bullshit. @amaaramore i would've agreed last year.. i think westbrook is becoming an all around guard now in the mold of jason kidd or rajon rondo... he is going to be a triple double beast in the future... but he & rose are by far the two most explosive point guards in the league today (until wall comes in next year... he's right there w/em)

Westbrook has more Steals Rebounds and assist then D rose, Rose has Points because he is the #1 option on his team, Westbrook's teamate is the best player in the league arguably and def the best scorer. Westbrook is better imo over rose

@edmundnlemadim Yeah he's only the rookie of the year, lead his team to the playoffs two consecutive years, led PG's in scoring last year, won a gold medal as a start and is averaging like 26ppg 10apg already this year. Yeah he isn't that great.lol.

are you dick? watch vince carter windmills and you'll see they are the cleanest.. the movement was so soft making vince carter look like he is floating on air for a long time.. dominique wilkins, the human highlight film? the only dunk he knows was the windmill. and he joined at lest 3 slamdunk contests doing the same thing.. that was the worst slam dunker i've ever seen until chris andersen came.. It really pissed me off when they rescinded that Chandler trade last year. They said they were worried about his bad toe and the possible lingering effects, but I think that's bullshit. They got cold feet and didn't wanna spend the money. Even with the injury plague, TC is still better than any big man we have. Now I'm hoping we go after Emeka Okafor. He'd fit well with our young group. I think we're gonna have a chance to be real good in the future. We'll be very dangerous.

I think Rose is a classic point guard and Westbrook is a combo guard. Rose doesn't look for his shot as much as Westbrook.
I'd have to give the edge to Rose because he makes more of his shots AND dishes out more assists.
Rebounds are a plus for a guard but really not a big plus when one PG averages one or two more than another.

@amaaramore i would've agreed last year.. i think westbrook is becoming an all around guard now in the mold of jason kidd or rajon rondo... he is going to be a triple double beast in the future... but he & rose are by far the two most explosive point guards in the league today (until wall comes in next year... he's right there w/em)

@amaaramore But Westbrook's an Elite defender and rebounder the defensive gap is much wider than the offensive gap. I think he's a better player overall because he dominates on both sides.

@amaaramore I would agree, but Westbrook's averaged more assists than Rose has this season and last season. But, Rose has less support than Westbrook dose. Having the top NBA scorer in the league does help. But right now, Boozer and Noah are there for Rose. I'd call it pretty even. But at this point, Rose is much more important to his team.

you are failing to factor in balls....westbrook has balls...he will attack the rim dangerously...it is one thing to do great dunks,it is another to do great dunks in a game,or on people.....westbrook has a definite advantage over rose in that category....some of westbrooks in-game dunks are some of the best i have ever seen....and i like rose as well....westbrook has shown more fearlessness in attacking the rim and dunking on guys....the footage doesnt lie

You also fail to realize that if you have seen rose play since hs he is the one who does all the fancy dunks in warm up lines and double pumps in games. Rose does attack the basket equally as well but to say Russell is flashy is just stupid. Westbrook takes to the hole hard and tries to bang on people but he rarely does anything other than a one hander. Rose is probably the better athlete overall but russell is a little longer and more aggressive in regards to dunking on people.

I agree with you RW does attack rim better than D Rose. D Rose has less turnovers than RW but Westbrook is fearless in the paint he shoots slightly better than D Rose from the FT line and has a better jumper but time will tell Westbrook is progressing rapidly in the end Westbrook is a better player than Rose right now.

i wouldve voted for westbrook...but i didnt vote...many of westbrooks fans didnt vote...it may have been worldwide voting,like the allstar game,which is why yao ming leads in allstar voting...i think Hustle Best-Rook will be in it next yr,though it will be tough since lebron says he will be in it.....even so,look up fernandez dunking on dwight howard,the man can dunk.....but there is no doubt in my mind westbrook would have done better....i think westbrook will have the best career among rookies
