The drumstick at 0:33 isn't dropped, it snapped, and he threw it. You can tell by the 2 hits on the snare before he ditches the stick, that sound is the bane of every drummer who plays like Carey.

Epic. I like him because he makes his drums sound like a rolling machine, almost unlikely to be just 1 drummer. Best part in the last 10seconds. I know nothing about drumming but i looks very hard to do and i dont hear it from other drummers like he does. I like Tool but like it most for the drums in there songs.

he hits the shit out of his cymbals too man thats what i love about carey its just raw energy with very coordinated technical skill accompanied by brilliant drum writing. practicing danny carey's beats are what i love doing in my spare time to get a feel for the odd signatures and the 4 way coordination, of course i utilize 4 way coordination/snare rudiments/new breed books as well but it's so fun practicing along with tool songs!

Yeah the tip cracked or something you can hear the snare isnt at loud. it would take me like a couple of months to wear through a pair of his sticks he cracks like 7 pairs a show :P
