  • Hi Kathryn, I recently discovered encaustic painting, but am not familiar with the flow pen. Is this someting you get at a craft store? Is is similar to a wood burner?

  • @pamrd121 The Flow Pen is not like a wood burner, however both would need a temperature regulator if intended to be used for encaustic techniques. The Flow Pen allows you to create lines and dots unlike other heated tools because of the reservoir.

  • What is the best flow pen and heat gun to buy? What are the best scraping tools...Loved your demo...

  • @sandvdh the Flow Pen in the video is from our website. Kathryn is using a Wagner brand heat gun, which you can pick up at a hardware store. Pottery loops and metal shims work great for scraping. For detail work, metal picks work well. Thanks for watching!

  • thank you

  • @isalemaitre You can find a wide variety of encaustic supplies on our website

  • very useful workshops, and informations, I appreciate it,

    Thanks
