I bought this audio cassette way back in late 70s & fell in love with DS' voice, she started her carrier as a Gospel singer & ended up as number one disco singer.
I am a bass player today completely & totally because of this LP (this is the first record I ever bought) ...the bass playing (by Les Hurdle) on this record is master-class!!!
Thanks for this wonderful gem of the disco era. When this came out I hurried to the Discomat record store on 35th and 7th (NYC), returned home to play it on my Technics turntable...we put Christmas lights (in August) around the edge of our livingroom ceiling, bought a mirrored disco-ball...and learned to hustle...our apartment was never the same...the good music flowed out...and the beatiful women flowed in... We were happy with good music, good food, and each other. Simpler times.
I was 10 years old when I bought the 45,I couldn't afford the album. But I still have it!There is a lot of snap, crackle and pop in it but it still jams!!
OOooooooh, somethin's comin' over me..................many, many delightful memories to be sure. The first time I heard "Love To Love You Baby", I knew this was going to progress into something wonderful, new, and exciting. I was not disappointed. Donna AND Giorgio were way ahead of their time, by practically inventing Techno-Trance with "I Feel Love"!
like golden nectar to my ears, feel in love with Donna Summer to very first time I heard her sound and have never faltered, even with her ill-stated comment. have all of her vintage vinyls. the Lady can sing a ballad as easy as she does a disco tune......Sing on my lovely Songbird..............
@MrJustmythoughts I'm glad that you like the upload. You sound very passionate about your music. What would have to be your favourite Donna Summer track?
@freezetomorrow Hello, not sure to understand for "copy"... sorry I'm French (lol). I think I bought the vinyl around 76-77... I have them (Love to love you Baby, Four seasons of Love, Once Upon a Time and some others that I do not remember) in my mom' garage, in France but now I'm living in Canada... I hope I can have them back one day... so many nice souvenirs!!!
@719police You're welcome! I'm glad it got you in the mood. It's one of my favourite albums, so I'm glad I can share it with people who appreciate it.
